Im extremely disappointed by a communication error made by iGoDental's billing department. As if…read morethe billing issue itself was not frustrating enough, I was then left feeling like I was practically shown the door when I expressed my concerns. In February 2026, I went to iGoDental for a dental cleaning and a consultation for veneers on a couple of teeth. Upon checking out, I was provided with a quote listing my patient responsibility as 2453.10 with 2000 expected to be covered by my insurance. I paid the 2453.10 in full and was extremely excited to finally perfect my smile after recently completing Invisalign Dr Hanna Choi performed my veneers, and I genuinely liked her and her work. She was kind, warm, and did beautiful work. I was so happy with my smile that I even recommended iGoDental to others based on my experience with her. Unfortunately, my experience with the billing department has completely changed my perception of the clinic. A couple of months later, I received a text stating that I had an outstanding balance of approximately $1,400. I was obviously taken aback, especially because I had already paid the amount I was told was my responsibility in full.I called the clinic and eventually spoke with the manager, who I was told is one of the new managers. The manager explained that my insurance had denied the claim and that I was now responsible for the remaining balance. I explained that I had never been made aware that an insurance denial was even a possibility. Had I known, I absolutely would not have paid the full amount that day without first obtaining the billing codes and contacting UnitedHealthcare myself to verify coverage. The manager apologized that I had not been made aware and explained that she was "a new manager" and that there were "a lot of new front desk members who are new and working on their wording." I understand that employees can be new and mistakes happen. However, I relied on the information provided by the office when deciding to proceed with treatment. The manager then explained that the consent I signed "clearly states" that I understood the amount was an estimate and that I would be responsible for any remaining balance in the event of an insurance denial. I reviewed the consent myself. The composite resin consent states regarding insurance: "Insurance: Some plans only cover the cost of amalgam, so the patient may pay more. The material used will be properly documented." I would genuinely like to know how that clearly communicates to a patient that their insurance could deny the claim altogether and leave them responsible a huge bill. The quote I was provided also did not clearly explain that I could potentially be responsible for a significant additional balance if insurance denied the claim. It is incredibly disheartening to feel financially responsible for a lack of communication from the billing team. If there was a possibility that my insurance would deny the claim, I believe that should have been clearly communicated before I paid thousands of dollars--not months later when I was suddenly presented with a large bill. What was perhaps most disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. I explained that I would have happily continued as a patient for many years for routine visits, including throughout the five-year warranty period for my veneers. I live only about five minutes from the clinic, genuinely liked the Dr and had every intention of continuing my care there. However, the manager told me I could have my cleanings done elsewhere and simply come back to iGoDental if I needed my veneers repaired, as long as I provided documentation that I was maintaining routine cleanings. Instead of feeling that the practice wanted to resolve the situation and maintain what could have been a long-term patient relationship, I felt as though I was essentially being shown the door. It's a shame because I really liked the Dr's work and appreciated that iGoDental is privately owned. I was prepared to be a long-term patient, but this experience has unfortunately changed my perception of the practice. If you choose to receive treatment here, my advice is simple: get everything in writing, verify your coverage with your insurance yourself, and don't assume that the quote you're given is necessarily what you will ultimately owe.

After finding the check again in mid-August, I contacted the office to have it reissued. Since then, it has been four months of calling, emailing, and trying to get a simple replacement check. I have been told multiple times that the issue is being taken care of and that I would receive a call back, which never happens. I've sent and received a total of 13 phone calls since August, plus multiple emails. I've also spoken with the practice administrator--who has been kind--but the problem still hasn't been resolved. I've been given conflicting information: that the check was mailed to my home and rerouted by USPS due to an incorrect address (even though the address they read back to me was correct), that the check was then supposedly mailed to the office instead and expected to arrive on 11/19/25, and later that follow-up would be provided--yet no one ever follows through. I even went in person on 12/8 to ask about the status, was promised a next-day update, and still received nothing. I received another update on 12/10 that the check would be sent to their office by the next week. Given that it's now the 21st of December, I don't think I'll be seeing this check by the end of the year as they mentioned. It should not take months to reissue a refund, and it's extremely discouraging to feel constantly overlooked. I genuinely wanted to continue coming here and recommending my clientele because my surgical experience was great, but the ongoing lack of communication and follow-through from the front office has been very disappointing.

Making a first-time appointment is easy, and requires no communication with a staff member (as you do it all online) -- you can even print out the forms ahead of your appointment. The waiting area is typically empty, and never overbooked. I went in for a routine cleaning and exam, and the dental assistant was super kind, and helpful. She was patient, and explained what she was doing ahead of doing it. The hygenist, similarly, took her time to explain what tools she'd be using, the sounds they make, and what I could expect pain-wise. I also had to get a deeper cleaning and 2 wisdom teeth extractions. They worked with my scheduling timeline, and the office manager walked me through the pricing. The deep clean was relatively painless and quick (but it did require an additional follow-up appointment). And the wisdom tooth extraction was very, very quick. I chose to do it with local anesthesia and the surgeon and assistant were super patient, and communicative throughout the entire procedure. When I asked them if I could listen to music to distract myself/calm myself, they allowed me to, and when I asked them to repeat the follow-up care instructions to my guardian, they happily complied. All in all, I've had a pretty seamless experience. Everyone was accommodating and helpful. My only complaint is that they are more expensive than other dental offices, and I had to go to more appointments than I expected, but they were thorough and patient in every instance.

My visit lasted approximately five minutes, and I was told the issue was TMJ -- which was completely unrelated to the reason I was there. There was minimal examination and no meaningful discussion of the actual concern that prompted my referral. The following day, I sought a second opinion from another oral surgeon, who was surprised that my condition had not been properly evaluated or treated. The difference in thoroughness and concern between the two appointments was significant. I then attempted to resolve the billing issue directly with the office. For nearly two months, I repeatedly reached out to billing and was told the person in charge was on leave. After finally getting in contact with her, she was extremely rude and stated the charges were non-negotiable, insisting that Dr. Golding did everything "appropriately." When I explained my concerns and the circumstances, I was told I would be sent to collections -- which ultimately happened. I was sent to collections for over $750 for this brief consultation that did not adequately address the medical concern I was referred for. Being sent to collections under these circumstances is incredibly disappointing and stressful. Patients deserve to feel heard, thoroughly evaluated, and treated with professionalism -- both medically and administratively. I cannot recommend this office based on my experience.

Dr. Golding saved my life..... probably…read more I went to see Dr. Golding on very short notice, with a major "toothache" that just wouldn't quit. I had been through a root canal and two extractions before Dr.Golding diagnosed my real problem: a cervical issue, not a dental issue. What? Over $5000.00 with dentists, with odontists and with oral surgeons and my issue wasn't dental? It turned out that I had a mis-aligned vertebra in my neck that was causing what is known as trigeminal neuropathy or neuralgia, AKA "the suicide disease". I know why they call it that. I have had it successfully treated and have been out of severe pain for the first extended period of time in the last 3 years, for almost 4 months, now. Dr. Golding could have picked up a decent paycheck (as several others had) but instead, for the price of an exam, imparted knowledge instead of unnecessary treatment. They were all so polite and helpful which is so rare to find in doctor's offices these days. The entire atmosphere was just great. Throughout my entire time healing I had no bruising, no pain, and no swelling which I absolutely could not believe! All of my stitches dissolved perfectly and I had no persisting issues afterwards.
