He will tell you to do anything he thinks you can do before telling you that you need surgey (P.T., medication, injections, rest, a brace,ect.) He makes sure you have the proper bloodwork up before prescribing medication and has even gone so far as to stop the appointment mid sentence to get your primary care physician on the phone if he has question about your health history. He is everything you could want in a doctor and more. All doctors should all take a page from his book.

Dr Owens comes across as a knowledgeable doctor. He'll give you a good explanation of what you should or shouldn't be doing. While I've been seeing him for a year now, I have not had surgery performed by him yet. Another good point is that with everything I have going on, he hasn't pushed surgery as the first option. He stressed trying all the least invasive methods first. That is a big plus these days.

A couple of years ago, I had a ruptured tendon in my finger which was improperly diagnosed by the emergency room staff. (They only checked to see if the bone was broken, and didn't advise that there might be other issues.) After a few weeks, my finger was getting noticeably worse, so I returned to holy name hospital in Teaneck, NJ, and was told to see Dr. Lee. After briefly looking at my finger, he rushed me into surgery, and then promptly rushed me out with the most vague prescription to find "a physical/ occupational therapist", without explaining much else. He didn't even explain the difference b/w the two, nor stress the importance of finding a board certified occupational therapist. I had never needed an occupational therapist before, so I wasn't clear on what to even look for. Long story short, my finger is worse off than before the surgery. It still looks and feels horrible, I'm in constant pain and have lost some functionality of it, even after over a full year of occupational/physical therapy. I have dealt with many doctors/specialists in the past, and I have never been treated so poorly as I was with Dr. Lee. Seriously, imo Dr. Lee is a terrible doctor, and an even worse person! I hope this review will keep some of you from making the same mistake I did. Quite frankly, this crackpot should have his licence revoked.

I had a pin placed straight down my pinky to my wrist. After that I had nothing but scruriatiating pain. They put the cast on wrong 2x. I finally had the pin taken out on June 29th. I still have no mobility in my pinky. I am in OT 2x a week and PT 3x a week. Dr. Lee is a Horrible Surgeon. Hand Surgeon My Ass. My Advice I would never have this So called Doctor Operate on you. I regret the day I let him operate on me.
