I've been dealing with ingrown toes nails for years. I decided to get them treated because I had to change nail shops and it's gotten harder to find someone who can really cut them down. From the moment, I called and made an appointment I knew I found the right place. It was about a month out, but making the appointment was quick and easy. The day of my appointment came and Dr Fishman was incredibly warm and friendly. He explained all of my options and asked if I wanted to have the procedure done that day. I was traveling the next week so decided to wait. I had my procedure today and as soon as I walked in everyone was reassuring and calm. Dr Fishman explained everything as he went along. He was incredibly gentle when he gave me the numbing shots. I didn't feel anything. During the procedure we were talking about my upcoming trip to Italy and before I knew it he was done with one toe. After everything was done, I was given the option to purchase a kit that had everything I needed. A kit? I didn't have to run around a pharmacy looking for what I needed?! GENIUS. A one stop shop! I paid out of pocket since my insurance deductible hadn't been reached yet and that was communicated early and the pricing was reasonable. If you're looking for a podiatrist Dr Fishman is IT! I had/am having the best experience at this office. The minute you walk in the front office is SOOOO NICE and helpful! My son has had ingrown nail issues for over a year. I had a procedure done on my toes recently by Dr. Fishman. I have to say my experiences with him and his staff was one of the best ones I've had. Not only did was the procedure done wonderfully, it was the follow up that came with it. His staff is one of the most efficient team I have encountered. My superstar is Gigi. She kept in touch with me throughout the entire process to make sure that I am taking my medication, going to my appointments, doing what I'm supposed to be doing to receive the best recovery. On top of all that, they have handled all paperwork with my insurance company and did everything to make sure that I am covered. I don't usually write yelp reviews, but in this case I just had to! My appointment with Dr. Fishman and his team was exceptional. I was referred to him by my brother and I know he has been so impressed with the care he had received. The lobby and back offices were clean, bright and up-to-date. The front desk staff greeted me with smiles and made filling out the new patient paperwork a breeze. Once Dr. Fishman and his team entered the room, he took his time asking me my symptoms and looking at my feet and ankles. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. He then showed me diagrams of what parts of my feet would be affected, likely symptoms and treatment. He printed out exercises and tools that would help alleviate my pain. He had me stand and he and his team examined my stance and recommended orthotics to help my condition. Dr. Fishman asked if I would like to get an X-ray to also rule out heel spurs since that's where most of my pain was. I agreed and he took me to the X-ray room and thoroughly explained how the machine was newer technology and what the process would entail. Throughout the appointment, Dr. Fishman was very friendly and funny and immediately put me at ease. He is incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable and one can tell that he cares about his patients well-being. I called Dr. Fishamn because I had an ingrown toenail and I don't have insurance. Dr Fishman's office girl helped me with a cash rate which was a little cheaper than other places I had called. They were able to squeeze me in right away. Dr. Fishman is very gentle- his injection skills are unbelievable he numbed my toe and I didn't feel anything. I'm so grateful for the kind and professional care I receive at Dr. Fishman's Office! I started going to Dr. Fishman's office just over 2 months ago for a foot condition that resulted in an in-office procedure. From the moment I made my first appointment, Dr. Fishman and his staff were friendly, efficient, and thorough. Gigi (I'm not sure of the correct spelling), the front office receptionist, always greets me with a smile and respectfully tends to patient calls. The back office staff is well trained and efficient in their intakes. Dr. Fishman has wonderful bedside manner and is incredibly knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed my issue and explained 3 possible treatment courses along with the pros and cons of each course, then allowed me to decide. At one of my appointments, Dr. Fishman had a medical student and asked if I would mind if the student sat in on my appointment. I feel that it speaks highly of professionals who are willing to take on interns to share their craft so I gladly allowed the student to come into the appointment. Dr. Fishman took a brief few seconds throughout the appointment to instruct the student which not only benefited the student but me as well. I can't emphasize enough the positive experience I had on the day of my procedure. Dr. Fishman took his time numbing my foot and the burn of each injection was minimal because he went slowly and gently. Dr. Fishman performed my dad's surgery to remove a bony growth on the top of his left foot. I was very nervous because my dad is almost 70 and has never had surgery before, but Dr. Fishman was excellent. Dr. Fisherman is an excellent doctor! I couldn't be happier with his services. I initially went to him when my toenail fell off. I dropped a really heavy object on it 6 months prior, and knew I needed to see a podiatrist once part of the nail fell off. At the consultation, he was so knowledgable and clearly explained my options. I planned to have the nail removed but after following his home care instructions for 2 weeks, the nail started to grow back really quickly. I saw more growth in 2 weeks than I had in 6 months. It was growing so well that I didn't even need to have the procedure done! He also informed me about other issues with my feet. Another nail that I was told had toenail fungus years ago (and I paid over $1000 in laser treatments that never worked), didn't even have fungus. Dr. Fisherman explained that it was a result of trauma in the way I walked. He made me some custom orthotics and now that nail is also growing out normal. The orthotics are incredibly comfortable and he designed them to be slim enough to fit in all my shoes. I can even run again without knee pain! I am so thankful that I found this office. First and foremost: Big thank you to Dr. Fishman and his staff for the exceptional service they provided during an unplanned visit. I can't thank them enough for their great service and warm disposition. So here's my story... A few months ago I had discomfort/pain in my toe but after some Googling and WebMD-ing, I self-diagnosed myself with an ingrown toenail. No biggie-- did some home remedies and a few days later pain gone. Surprise! Turns out that didn't actually work. (This is why I'm not a doctor.) Fast forward to two weeks ago-- the pain came back in that same toe but in full force. Visiting from out of state while on vacation down in Orange County, I began frantically looking for an in-network podiatrist and came across Dr. Fishman. After describing my situation to his staff over the phone, they squeezed me in that same day to their already fully booked schedule. I got to my appointment, described my symptoms to the Dr., and had him take a good look at my toe. All the while I'm explaining to him how exceptional my WebMD skills were and how I was 99% positive that it was just an ingrown toenail, but he didn't buy it and was pretty sure there was more to it than that. In fact, he went on to suggest this thing called osteochondroma. (I know-- totally foreign to me, too; but he explained what it was in layman's terms so I wasn't left scratching my head.) As such, he had me get an x-ray that same day. Thankfully, their office is equipped with a state of the art x-ray that allows for high quality imaging within minutes. Sure enough, because the quality of the imaging was so clear, I myself could see the tumor (or osteochondroma) growing in that little piggy that was supposed to go to market. The idea of having a tumor in me (benign or otherwise) was irritating and I just had to have it out. That's when Dr. Fishman and his team went above and beyond. They let me schedule an after hours visit that same day so that the Dr. could perform the procedure to remove the growth, send it out for biopsy, stitch me back up, and send me on my merry way back home. Take it from me, a girl that is absolutely scared to death of needles, surgery, blood, and the like: this procedure was surprisingly (relatively) quick and painless. It's the recovery that's a b***h-- but that's what the pills are for :) Fast forward to now-- Dr. Fishman and his team have been great with their follow-up calls to check-in and see how I've been doing post-surgery. (I'm doing great!) And he even gave me his direct cell phone number in case of emergency. Additionally, I'm happy to report that they called back to confirm that the tumor was in fact benign. While I've had to do all my post-op procedures back home with another podiatrist, my new podiatrist wanted me to tell Dr. Fishman that he gets an A+ with how he handled/treated/stitched my toe. (I'm assuming that means the stitching looks good; however, I've been to scared to look at it myself so I'm not sure what an A+ toe stitching looks like but I'll take the Dr.'s word for it.) I called a week ago to schedule an appt for my son. S/w Susie who asked me to email her a photo of the area. Said she'd have the doctor review, work on the schedule & get back to me. I emailed the image to her within 30 minof our conversation.. It's been a week and I still have not heard back from anyone. My first review was strictly for the Incompetent front desk/scheduler Susie. Not for Dr. Fishman. Yes, I understand that my son's condition was NOT emergent. However, it does not take A WEEK to hear back regarding an appt. If it wasn't for the first review, who knows how much longer I would've waited to hear back. Cause not even 2 hours from when I posted it, Dr. Fishman himself called me to see what was going on with my son's condition. Susie, If you thought his condition was not worth your time, the considerate thing to do was call/email me to let me know. I would've taken him to his pcp. Instead you waited until I posted a review to talk to Dr. Fishman about the REVIEW. You stated you showed compassion. How? By not calling me back after a week? I don't think so. I too work in the medical field and am fully aware of how the consult request process works. The physician reviews the case & if he feels like he's unable to help than there's no point in wasting his time with a consult. And the one week turn around time is ridiculous. You asked me to email you a picture of the area so that the doctor could review. Well when Dr. Fishman called me, he said this was the first he heard about my son's case! Meaning you NEVER spoke to him about my son like you said you would. And I have Dr. Fishman's voicemail saved and can post the transcription to prove he was Not aware. So blown away by Dr. Fishman and his incredible team.. I brought my 87 year old grandmother in for a consultation after visiting countless podiatrists in the area because she has suffered from an ulcer on her toe for 6 months. Her age and the fact that she has diabetes were obstacles in securing proper treatment, as other doctors were either not thorough enough in their evaluation of her condition, negligent, or reluctant to operate on what turned out to be a bone infection. She was previously put on numerous rounds of antibiotics, which did little to resolve the problem and as a side effect, led to complications with her kidneys. We visited Dr. Fishman a couple of days after Christmas (when they were not even supposed to be open) and he squeezed us in, despite the fact that we called only a few days prior. The office is very clean and the staff professional. Dr. Fishman demonstrated a lot of empathy and kindness while evaluating my grandmother's foot. He made sure to answer all of my questions and talked about his own family members who had similar conditions to alleviate my worries and put me at ease. He suggested surgery to get to the root of the issue, and also ordered an MRI, home health treatment, and a visit to a vascular doctor to make sure that there was enough circulation in her foot to recover from the procedure. In the week that followed, he was on vacation, but continued to correspond with us over email, which we were truly blown away by. We were so touched by his attentiveness. His office staff (Lenny, Meghan, and Susie) was also very communicative and responsive throughout this entire process. We admitted my grandmother to the hospital to complete all the required tests and prepare for the surgery. Dr. Fishman communicated with the hospital staff and ordered numerous tests before giving the okay for surgery. He also sent another doctor from his team to check up on my grandmother and consult with the hospital in person, which proves his extreme thoroughness and investment in quality care for his patients. It was the most efficient and effective hospital admission we have ever experienced! She is now preparing for surgery and my family and I are so thankful to Dr. Fishman for setting us up with the highest chances of success walking into this procedure. Wow!!!!! Dr. Michael Fishman is AMAZING. Words can't explain how satisfied we are with him. We found him on Yelp in September 2014 for my fiancé previous fractured ankle. Dr Fishman not only treated us with the upmost respect but he was very gentle and truthful. He explained everything to us in details not leaving anything out ( most doctors are in and out in 5 minutes but Dr Fishman took his time and not once rushed). We now have gone through surgery and are 4 weeks post-op and my fiancé is walking and is not experiencing any pain. Dr Fishman is truly a miracle worker (as crazy as this might sound, but my fiancé woke up about an hour after his surgery and indicated immediately that he no longer had any pressure or tightness in the bone) he was more than satisfied with the results. I have so much to say about this amazing office. I stepped on an earring, the wound closed. I continued to have excruciating pain, my MD only recommend time and a tetanus shot. I listened to my body and symptoms and decided to contact Dr. Fishman's office. When I placed the call it was after hours and to my surprise a staff member answered. Dr. Fishman and his team are A-MAZING. They kindly squeezed me in as a new patient experiencing heel pain that had gone from mild to severe in a weekend. As a parent of a young child, he understood my immediate need to be good on my feet--as I chase around a 13-month-old all day, every day. Dr. Fishman is friendly, professional, and really took the time to examine my feet, explain what was happening--hello, plantar fasciitis!--and offer numerous solutions. Hands down the best Dr I have ever been to. My nail needed to be removed, and let me tell you I never even felt the needle, to be honest I never felt anything during the whole procedure. The Dr made me laugh the whole time and Meghan the nurse was making me smile the whole time as well. My appointment was at 11 and they brought me back right away. If I ever need to visit a Dr regarding my foot, there is no other Dr I would go to. I am very satisfied with Dr Fishman, and everyone else at the office. read more

Front receptionist is rude and unhelpful which is not a good representation of Dr. Fishman because he's actually a great doctor. Clearly did not want to take the thelp answer my questions or find a solution and she made me feel like I was bothering her. I am extremely disappointed. This Is an update: Dr. Fishman was extremely courteous and contacted me right away to rectify the issue I encountered in his office. He is very personable and like I said in my orginal review, a great doctor. read more

What can I say but he's awesome. He's like family doctors used to be and truly cares. You may come in complaining but you leave with a smile. Beautiful office with wonderful staff. You can't go wrong putting your feet in Dr. Fishman's hands! read more
