Initial visit was ok. But no follow up appointment. I was told that after he was to see my lab test results, he would contact me for further treatment. It was weeks after my test results and the office said he wrote me a letter in US Mail. What's up with that to use the slowest communication on the globe. It was late too. Also the letter said that a prescription was sent to my pharmacy. Checked again yesterday,,,,no prescription I will find someone else read more

Excellent & upmost professional attention from the entire staff as well as the doctors.

I was a patient of Dr. Fili. At the time I thought he was a bit rough and had a poor bedside manner. I had continued headaches, and one evening, I ended up in a hospital. After many tests, the doctor on duty came out and told me that I had a Brain Tumor. Certainly my life became small and desperate. I decided to go see My Endocrinologist Dr, Fili. When I told him what had happened, he in front of me called the doctor that saw me in the hospital, and told him he was unprofessional and to never do this again. I was inane immediate awe of Dr. Fili. What I really had was a Prolactin Tumor, that he ran some tests on, and gave me a pill, that over the next 3 months shrunk my tumor to nothing. Because I moved, and changed employers, I also changed insurance, and unfortunately Dr. Fili does not take CIGNA. I could only hope that I could be his patient again. Yes he is rough and pulls no punches. But, he is great and he may be the best Endocrinologist in Miami-Dade. read more

Dr Fili is an excellent doctor and very thorough. He's never in a rush, so I don't feel like a piece of meat being processed through his office. Beatrice is also awesome. She's great about returning calls and making sure everything goes smoothly. Not that anyone would ever want to go to an endocrinologist, but if you have to go, this office is the place to be. The only downside is you will have to wait. But, as I said before, it's because the docs don't rush. I'm fine with waiting because I know that I'll get the proper care and attention. read more

Couldn't tell you about the doctor but I can't get through to the office. All i hear is a busy tone.

Unlike the 2 reviews you may have read, Dr. Michael Fili is the worst doctor I've ever seen regardless of practice. I am a diabetic with sky high blood sugar. I first saw Beatrice the first two times I went there, she told me right off the bat that unless I take insulin regularly there was nothing she could do. She didn't want to hear my unique set of circumstances. The only good thing was she did give me some lancets and some diaries. As for Dr. Fili, I saw him once. He didn't bother to introduce himself, shake my hand or be cordial. He took one look at me and said, "You have a severe eating disorder." And then said to me, "You're not big as a house, you're as big as a hotel." I was furious and his receptionist told my friend who went with me that I was upsetting the doctor. Let me see, he insulted me, ridiculed me and he was upset? He upped my insulin dosage to such high levels that it makes me sick when I take it. In short if it called for it, I would have to take a combined total of 285 units of two different kinds of insulin. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE INSULTED!!! read more

Dr. Fili was my Endocrinologist 10 years ago when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After my surgery the surgeon suggested him due to location. He was very stressed during my visits, cut & dry, no bedside manners. He was arrogant and nasty to his staff in front of me several times. I left his practice to go with Dr. Cohen, a refreshing change. Fast forward 10 years Dr. Cohen retires and makes Dr. Fili's office the custodian of the medical records. I tried to keep an open mind, was suppose to see him this week for the first time. I received a very disturbing call from my daughter who went to see him for the first time since his nurse Practitioner was seeing her for the past year also. Unfortunately he hasnt changed. Was rude, talking down to my daughter, insulting her! She has type I and has taken great care of her levels for the last 26 years. When she questioned his behavior he told her to get another doctor! He continues to insult women and bully them. He followed his demand with a letter telling her she had 30 days to find another Endo or to visit the ER if needed after that.! This man needs a minus star. The hospital(s) he is credentialed at need to know the real jerk he is. His nurse practitioner is awesome, but then how long will she put up with him? This doctor May have experience and maybe should be in a lab somewhere but he 100% lacks people skills; he has been known to treat his staff horribly but at my last visit he even made insane assumptions about relating diabetics and capabilities. I stood up to his horrible behavior and let him know that he was being prejudice against my disability or diabetics in general. He sent my results along with a letter asking me to leave his practice and it is my absolute pleasure I am leaving along with 4 other family members that I took to his practice. He definately falls short of the care and attention Dr Cohen gave; what a shame! read more

From Maggie, the front desk receptionist to Beatriz, the nurse practitioner, the customer service is absolutely stellar. I have been a patient of Dr. Fili's for 3 years and to be honest, he is absolutely one of the most thorough physicians I have ever met. He went out of his way to ensure that my diagnosis was correct and collaborated with my mother's endocrinologist to ensure he knew, in detail, my family history. It was my first time visiting a Specialist. I received a 5 star treatment from my quick overnight appointment, to the reception , did not spend my entire day and most of all Dr. Fili was very informative, clear, precise and helpful with my diagnosis. He also did not rush me out as soon as we were done with my Exam. He was very professional and elaborate in explaining everything. He also recorded, and transcribed the notes he explained. If I could give Dr. Fili zero stars I would. He was recommended when my previous Endocrinoligist retired. I went to my first appointment and never saw the doctor. Seems you go thru nurse practitioner first and then three months later you might get to see doctor. After I saw the nurse practitioner, I received a letter telling me to STOP TAKING MY DIABETES MEDICINE FOR THREE MONTHS. Supposedly I would start a new med. my diabetes has been under control since I was diagnosed in 2008 and had no plans to stop taking my meds. In the time between appointments, I ended up in the hospital for an MS flareup. I was on steroids which make your blood sugar skyrocket, so I couldn't stop diabetes meds. When I got out of the hospital I called to reschedule my appointment and explained what had happened. A week later I received a letter saying he was dropping me as a patient and the matter was not open for discussion. THIS GUY IS A DOCTOR??? read more
