I went for a mole check since skin cancer runs in my family. (People of Scottish descent with fair…read moreskin, blue eyes, don't tan, just burn and then peal, have moles, tend to develop skin cancer.). I sat in Dr. Buck's waiting room for 2 & 1/2 hours with 15 other people waiting to see her. No explanation or apology, even when I asked at reception. Finally got in to see her, nurse told me to undress, and Dr. Buck appeared dressed in a fancy maxi skirt (before they were back in style), lots of make-up considering it was not a formal evening event, very over dressed. She counted like 24 moles that she wanted to test, by shaving the top of it off and sending it for a biopsy. She wanted to do one right away and did. It was painless and healed well. Seemed like a lot of procedures to me. She told me to make an appointment. I asked her to look at a small rash in my arm pit. She said she only did 1 thing per appt. Well that was my limit. I said "You mean I have to come back and wait 2 & a half hours for you to look at a small rash?" She agreed to look at it. Within one minute she asked if when I shaved did I leave the razor in my shower? Yes I did. She said it was a reaction to mold and mildew and I should buy a cream at reception and stop leaving the razor in the shower. Easy answer, very fast, what a fuss over one minute. I had another question about my rosacea, but decided not to go thru it because her demeanor became even colder than before. She clearly resented that I criticized the policy and the wait time, and had the gall to ask her to look at another problem I was having. Btw, I am extremely polite to everyone unless they are mean or treat me badly, then I stick up for myself. I bought the cream, did not make another appt., and left to find a different dr. I have never known a dr. who would not check on a small easy second health issue nor had I ever seen a dr working at her office dressed so formally. The office never called me to give me results or try to get me in. The only positive thing I can say is my 90 year old father likes her because she's pretty. She is. Looks don't make a person smart and heavy evening style makeup and over dressing does not instill confidence, it's just uncomfortable and made me wonder if the elevator went to the top floor. I can't recommend her unless you just want to see what she looks like and don't care how you are treated. Thats not on my list of important qualities in a dr. Sorry. I don't like writing this but it's true.

After seeing numerous specialists, under going countless tests and various treatments. I was told my hearing loss was permanent and due to an autoimmune disorder causing inflammation on my trigeminal nerve. I resorted to wearing a hearing aid in attempt to balance out my senses and drown out the debilitating tinnitus. At 47 years old, I was at a low point. I felt like my body was failing me. I thought I was eating healthy and lived an active lifestyle yet I would consistently wake in a fog, my joints ached and I felt exhausted all the time. I struggled to get a good night's sleep. I was depressed with the thought this is the way the rest of my life would be. In came Davina to the rescue. She suspected my ailments stemmed from a leaky gut and an imbalance in my microbiome which ultimately was affecting my entire body. To confirm, she suggested testing of the bacteria levels in my gut. I was skeptical but willing to give it a try. The tests indicated my gut indeed had an overgrowth of "unhealthy" bacteria and deficient levels of healthy bacteria. With these results, Dr Davina was able to prescribe me a 10 day regimen which targeted eliminating the unhealthy bacteria and fungi from my body. This was followed up by a more flexible yet structured diet which focused on repairing my leaky gut and boosting my microbiome. Fast forward 4 months. I feel amazing! I sleep great now. I wake energized and the aches and pains are gone. My brain fog is gone and I feel alert. I feel strong and motivated to tackle each day. Most surprisingly, I just had my annual hearing test and have regained almost 60% of the hearing I had lost in my left ear!!!! My audiologist was amazed and said they don't normally see recoveries of this level. She wanted to know, what I have been doing. This is only after 4 months! I can't wait to see what the results will show next year! Since starting Davina's treatment tailored towards repairing my gut. I started reading and researching the impact our gut and microbiome has on our overall health, both physically and mentally. It's amazing and makes so much sense. Davina is on top of this breaking medical knowledge. She has been spot on with her diagnosis and treatment. Because of Dr Davina, I have my body and life back!

When I called to understand what happened, I was told that it was "okay for someone else to cancel on my behalf"--which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or trying to help, the staff was rude and dismissive, and the situation escalated to the point where I ended up in an argument with the manager. Rather than taking responsibility, they doubled down on their attitude and showed zero empathy or accountability. This is not how patients should be treated, especially when it comes to their time and healthcare. I expected basic respect and clear communication, and sadly, this office failed on both fronts. Oh did I forget to mention at the end the manager hang up the phone on me.

I am deeply frustrated and disappointed with my previous experience seeing Dr. Robin Levin at South…read moreJersey Skin Care & Laser Center. After waiting several months to secure an appointment, I arrived with a list of legitimate skin concerns expecting a thorough medical evaluation. Instead, none of the new issues I brought up were resolved or properly addressed. Throughout the brief visit, I was repeatedly handed excuses for why my primary concerns couldn't be evaluated or treated during that appointment time. Rather than taking the time to address items that are covered under medical insurance, the focus of the appointment was constantly steered toward referring me to their in-house aesthetician for cosmetic services--conveniently requiring me to pay substantial extra out-of-pocket costs. The only things addressed during the entire visit were two previously diagnosed concerns, neither of which were handled effectively: Issue 1: Dr. Levin simply wrote a routine prescription refill for a previously diagnosed condition, offering zero additional evaluation. Issue 2: The treatment provided for this concern completely failed to work. Historically, this exact issue has been rectified immediately with proper care, leaving me seriously questioning the effectiveness and quality of their treatment methods. I did not wait months, pay a co-pay, and have my insurance billed just to receive a simple refill, ineffective care, and a heavy sales pitch for cosmetic add-ons. This appointment felt like a cash grab rather than patient-focused medical care. It is extraordinarily disappointing to spend time and money only to leave with zero answers and ineffective treatment, forcing me to hunt for an entirely new dermatology practice to get actual medical attention. I will not be returning. My Response to Their Reply: Thank you for your response, but I need to clarify several points regarding my experience. First, the issues I presented are not cosmetic--they are medically necessary conditions covered by insurance, as verified by other dermatologists. Unfortunately, your office never took the time to check my benefits or verify if the treatments would be fully covered without out-of-pocket costs. By the logic that insurance won't assist because a condition doesn't immediately hinder health, standard dermatological care like acne treatment or mole removal wouldn't be covered either, yet insurance routinely handles those. Second, as an established patient, your office already has all of my contact information and could have easily reached out directly. I even filled out your initial feedback survey detailing my experience when requested, but I never received a response. Following the directions in your public reply, I called your office directly, only to be sent to voicemail with no follow-up. Given that I was publicly advised on this platform to contact you, I expect a prompt callback to discuss and rectify this matter properly. Since speaking with them, I'm even more disappointed to find out they could care less about my concerns and they were doing me a favor and not to actually . It's very unfortunate that they have wasted my time and my money.
