I have been suffering from acne for the past 3years.but after I saw him and did what he asked me to do and with the prescriptions I got from him my skin has changed so much I wonder why I hadn't made an appointment with him. I highly recommend Dr.Militello. He is courteous, very informative, straight to the point, no nonsense type of doctor. He has great bedside manners and listens to his patient. He answered all of my questions and offered many alternatives to my condition. He is very up to date with technology and often posts great articles on social media such as Facebook, twitter, and linkedin . Getting an appointment was quick and easy, they are very accomodating and have good hours. The office is pristine and the staff is welcoming and inviting. After the first awful experience I had with a previous dermatologist, I did a little more research and found Dr. Militello. My appointment was on time, the office was clean and office staff friendly! He actually took time to ask me questions about my condition and made sure he answered any questions I had for him. After waiting 3 hours to visit with a dermatologist for an unpleasant 5 minutes, I decided a change must come. I used all review websites I could find and searched for a dermatologist near me that accepts my insurance. I saw less than stellar reviews for various reasons, I thought all was lost. I then decided I'd go a little way from home to receive great service so I switched my zip code to Manhattan and found options. I actually had options!!! There were a few with great reviews concerning treatment, proper diagnosis and time. In the end I chose Militello. My first visit was in the Manhattan office. Upon arrival I was informed that office would be closing shortly and that if I wanted to continue services I would have to meet with the Dr. in Brooklyn. I live in Brooklyn. *temporary* SCORE!!! For my follow up visits I did see the Dr. in Brooklyn. The first time I drove and spent 20 minutes looking for a park, the next time I took the train and realized I'd rather drive and spend the time looking for a park! It was a hassle using the MTA to get there. The office is small and clean. At every visit the receptionists were pleasant, the Dr. had good bedside manners, told little jokes here and there and was so warm. Most importantly, I felt my concerns were listened to. Last but not least, I have never waited more than five minutes to see the Doctor. *MAJOR* score!!! read more

He is very rude and has no bedside manner. I had a rash and he lifted my gown to look at my abdomen even though the rash was on my legs. I felt violated! He was very quick to give a half assed opinion. The appointment lasted all of 5 minutes and he prescribed me an ointment (which I previously told him I was allergic to). After reading other people's reviews I was looking forward to my appointment with Dr. Militello but I must say I was very disappointed to find out the the doctor will only speak to you about one issue per appointment. Therefore if you have more than one thing to discuss you must make another appointment and pay another co-pay. If this is the doctor's policy the staff should inform first time patients of this before making their appointment. read more

Dr. M and his office staff were great! He was able to take me on short notice and was very patient in answering my questions/concerns. Dr. M was able to give several different options and speak to the differences in treatments. He was also knowledgeable on current research and was very professional and friendly. One of the best doctors I have been to and definately my go-to derm in NYC. The office was VERY nice and definitely clean. Very impressed with Dr Militello! He appears to be really thoughtful and understanding of issues he is dealing with. He performed a few quick procedures on me and my son, and I am very pleased with the level of professionalism. The only downside is that he is out of my insurance network and I have to pay a portion of fees out of pocket. read more

Just visited the good doctor and it was a very Good Experience. Dr. Militello's office staff were very courteous & professional. The office is very clean, bright & modern. Dr. Militello is a very informed doctor, taking the time to explain everything and answer all of my many questions. I've been to several dermatologists over the years, and Dr. M is by far the best of his field (actually one of the best doctors I've been to ever). All of my questions/concerns were addressed, and all options given to me were explained and discussed. Best of all he gave me some samples of the various cremes/lotions i needed. I think Dr Militello is outstanding. I am,although, very disappointed with his staff. I made an appointment five weeks in advance(that was the next available) I drove an hour to the Clifton office(in a rain storm) and the receptionist said WE DON'T TAKE THIS INSURANCE...REALLY!!!! I was a patient with the doctor in Brooklyn and was more than happy to travel Shouldn't the staff at the Summit office ask me my insurance carrier!! Then she tells me this in person like "Oops sorry I don't have change of a dollar" She was as non apologetic as you can get Very disappointing. read more

Had a appointment regarding psoriasis issue. The whole appointment with doctor was about 2 minutes. He just prescribe me some cream that eventually did not worked and told me to come in three weeks again. It was a waist of time and money ( $30 co-pay ). The doctor not even interesting to hear your problems and looks like does not care about them and you. Never come back again. It is impossible to find a good and carrying specialist in psoriasis. read more

I can't say enough good things about this office. I needed to see a dermatologist for an issue right away, and was able to get a next day appointment (on a Saturday, no less!) though ZocDoc. The office is clean and bright, the nurse and receptionist were friendly, and Dr. Militello was great. He took his time speaking with me and answering my questions. He made it clear that I could call him back with any questions, and I felt well taken care of. Two days later, my condition had changed and I called his office, and they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment. Again, the visit went well. I had to have a skin biopsy, which was quick and painless, and Dr. Militello again spent time with me, answering my questions. I really appreciate this office and would give 10 stars if I could. I made an appointment because I was experiencing severe oily skin--the doctor gave me a prescription for retinoid to "dry me out." He said that I didn't have acne save for a little around my jawline that I told him only pops up once a month and doesn't bother me. Filled the expensive prescription, used as directed, and my skin was still super oily. Made a follow-up appointment through ZocDoc, and his office weirdly canceled it without contacting me. ZocDoc apologized, and I was able to make another appointment. The doc saw me for two minutes tops, and his first question was "How's your acne?" What the what, he told me at my first appointment that I don't have acne. So I told him that and explained what I originally came in for, to fix my oily skin, and he got super annoyed, told me to just deal with it, and that my skin issue was just cosmetic. Obviously he hadn't read my file. He ended up writing me a script for a higher concentration of retinoid (even more $$$ than the last medication), which is working OK, but I won't be back to his practice. read more
