She was honest about what would work with my skin, I have very dry skin, and also the color palettes that I chose. I asked for her opinions and we compromised, I trusted her since she was the expert. I had my trial at her home office and fell in love with the look she created for me. It was very soft and romantic but bold enough to last me through the entire night. I had to go out afterwards, and received so many compliments. We had two separate ceremonies when the wedding came, we had a tea ceremony as well as a traditional wedding. She created two unique looks for both days since my outfits were also very different. I had the best experience with her. She is laid back but very professional. My bridal party all loved their look as well and even through the heat during our photography sessions, our make up stayed put! It was about 85-90 degrees that day and I was impressed that our look did not melt off by then. She made jokes and helped keep me entertained the whole morning during prep. Her prices were fair, and included lashes, which you think you never need but you must. I personally did not get them because I got extensions, but everyone else did. She and her team mate finished my party of myself, 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 1 grandmother and a number of other people that wanted make up just as guests in a very efficient and well paced manner. I would not hesitate to recommend to any other bride. I had two make up trials before this and I was not as excited until Jen did my make up. I am asian also and I feel like a lot of make up artists are not as diverse. The previous two make up artist did not play with my features correctly and did a standard application of make up. I was ecstatic to get an appointment in a relatively short time for a specialist (2.5 weeks) and promptly agreed to the 3 PM slot I was offered. After finally finding parking 10 minutes before my appointment(which was a complete nightmare because the office is small), I was extremely confused, because this is actually a podiatrist and a dermatologist in one. No, you don't walk in the building and split to one door, the receptionist actually asks you what service you are there for. The waiting room probably has about 12 chairs and I took the last chair when I sat down. Over the next 20 minutes at least 10 more people entered the office to where it was a sardine can. At no point when I was filling out and returning paperwork did the assistants mention they were running over two to three hours behind on appointments. It wasn't until a gentleman next to me said he had already been waiting an hour and a half that I realized they just over book to make money. There is no way any doctors office with a shred of customer service would fall three hours behind on appointments. And after reading reviews on the Dr many echoed these sentiments with similar experiences. I got up and walked out. I refuse to support an office who has such little issue with inconveniencing their patients.
