I am trying to find a plastic surgeon for breast reconstruction following breast cancer surgery. I shared my intent and desire to see the doctor. I could tell from the beginning that this was a person who loves saying no. She was rude, condescending and had prejudged that I shouldn't see the doctor. She first tried to tell me to see the surgeon suggested by my oncologist surgeon. I told her I didn't care for his manner or plan for reconstruction and wanted to see Dr. Heistein. At one point well into the convo, she says, "I just don't know what it is you want." I want reconstruction on my breast on which I had surgery for breast cancer. She proceeded, without having even seen me, said that some breasts are just not candidates for reconstruction. Some breasts are mangled and have a big ball of scar tissue and just aren't fixable. She ( a receptionist, not a doctor) said that to me with absolutely no knowledge of my situation. She eventually told me that they take Medicare but not Medicare advantage and so can't help me. I said well, you take Medicare and she told me I would be paying a huge amount out of pocket. Still, she'd never seen me, hadn't precertified me or anything else. It was a horrible experience and I suppose I should be glad not to deal with this person ever again. Dr. Heistein should know how horrible this person is. If he knows and he's ignoring the issue, shame on him. If he doesn't know, someone should tell him how awful she is.

He was a previous surgery that I had done with a very reputable group in town that went horribly wrong. I cannot recommend him enough, and I wish I would've gone to him initially. As I would not have been in this situation. One of my friends recommended him had a lopsided stomach, and breast Asian, as one of my implants had ruptured. My scars are smaller than what they were initially, and it's a better job than what I had the first time with my prior surgeon. Upon trying their suggestion, we realized our son would be traumatized and we decided to not move forward. 4 months later we got a surprise bill of $450 and another for $160. On calling they explained they don't need to disclose anything and looking back 5 months of visits, we would be thousands of dollars of surprise bills coming our way months later. Their reasoning is: we don't make the price this is what insurance deductibles are. Complete blame shift and lack of morals here. I do believe they have decent doctors, but not decent procedures in place. If it isn't illegal, it sure should be. Please do your homework and attempt to get answers up front.

He was the one I felt most comfortable with. His nurses Angie and patient coordinator Melissa Have been there for me from the very beginning with any questions that I had. I scheduled my surgery two months out. And the morning of Dr. Obaid came in there and drew on me and all the nurses and anesthesiologist were very nice kind and considerate. Dr. Obaid may not be the cheapest, and who knows if he's the most expensive but you pay for what you get. He truly is a master at what he does- he is an artist. I am one that has had five different breast argumentation's in the past by different board-certified plastic surgeons. And he just made me look like a brand new person. My body looks amazing and I can't be any happier and I'm healing very well. If you're wondering what all I had done I had a mommy makeover as well as bodytite to the moms area with liposuction. And liposuction 360, also I had liposuction and bodytite to my chin area and liposuction and bodytite to my arms. Basically I had the works done and he did a fantastic job!!!! However, Dr. Obaid called me personally to rectify the situation. If only all Doctors cared this much about what a patient went through! Our case is a very small cyst that has to be removed from my son's head, and he could just as easily moved on to bigger cases. I am extremely impressed that he would take the time to call us and actually cares about what happens to my son. Original Review: If I could give this office less than one star I would. We had a consultation to remove a small cyst from my sons forehead on December 1st 2014 at his Southlake location. I was told that they would get back with me within a couple of weeks once benefits had been verified. I gave them over a month and when I still had not heard back I called and was told that someone would get back with me. Almost two weeks later still nothing. Called last Thursday and was told by the office manager that the person I needed to speak with was on the phone and that she would get back to me within the hour. 5 days later, I called again to be put on hold for almost 10 minutes only to be told that we have not met any of our deductible. I do medical billing and am well aware that we are over halfway to our deductible. I thought that after waiting this long at least the information would be correct. I was looking at my benefits page as I was speaking with her. Absolutely deplorable professionalism. Not even an apology. I guess that since we were not there for high end cosmetic surgery, we did not qualify for professional, courteous or even accurate service.

Per my insurance company, it is on the same tab in Availity - Providers- TriWest; when you submit the referrals (as the provider). Only a referral was made and PT requires both. So now it still needs to be submitted but now they are saying my PCP needs to. This was the same way in east region (now west for Texas) so I don't know why this is like a new thing to them with authorizations. They worked me into rehab in the meantime which is nice; when I called they wouldn't do that without charging me per visit out of pocket. My reg physician said no this is swelling do to injury in both ankles because the other is compensating for supporting the bad one. If you were retaining water it would be all over not just in your ankles. Back to see ankles Dr, tell him what she said, he disagrees then looks at the mri & says there is cartilage discernment, but nothing he could do would help the swelling because of the water retention. I have been suffering ever-increasing back pain for well over two years. Finally, my PCP…read morerecommended a pain management doctor. Hoping that I could get some relief, I saw this doctor several times and had an MRI followed by multiple steroid injections. The injections were essentially ineffective and my pain continued to increase. Realizing that usual pain management techniques were not going to work for me, I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon (in the same practice). A surgical treatment plan was discussed, but it sounded so invasive (with incisions front and back), that I wanted a second opinion. My PCP gave me the name of Dr. David Kosmoski ("Dr. Kos"), and I made an appointment right away. In the first meeting with Dr. Kos, he carefully explained the source of my pain (having reviewed the two MRIs and accompanying X-Rays), and assured me that a relatively simply surgery would relieve my pain. I scheduled the surgery at that first visit... I was that confident in Dr. Kos. My surgery was done a few weeks after that office visit and all went as expected; I went home that same day. The first couple of weeks post-surgery were a bit more uncomfortable that I expected or would have liked, but at about the two-week point, I took a turn for the better and have improved steadily ever since. Dr. Kos was very clear on my healing and recovery activities: the things I could do and those that I shouldn't. I followed his instructions exactly, and now, for the first time in two years - or more - I am pain free most of the time, and as my healing/recovery continues, I expect to be totally pain free soon.
