I think the reviews here are unfair, or that they only receive negative reviews for some reason. I had a good experience here, I've seen one audiologist (Jessica) who was absolutely lovely and two ENTs - Dr Patel and Dr Bauer. Both were great, But Dr Patel really impressed me with his knowledge and skill. My first appointment I didn't have much waiting at all. For my second appointment They fit me in last minute to get a bead removed from my daughters ear, and I waited just on an hour for that same day appointment which I don't think is bad at all. I haven't had any dealings with their front desk other than standard scheduling and check in, in this instance they were fine. I will update my review if this changes but I couldn't complain. read more

After completing a ridiculous amount of paperwork - the office sent me a text saying my appointment has been moved to different location. Don't go here unless you desire subpar healthcare for your child. From a rude person answering questions over the phone, to a surgery scheduler lacking the courtesy to call back with a doctor's authorization, this place just sucks. Awful customer service. I arranged my day to take my son in and see the Dr. after filling out all of the paperwork they informed me that because I traveled to Galveston in the last two week that we would not be seen. This was never communicated beforehand. Their excuse is that it was implemented this week, well I don't care. Call your appointments and let them know if you are going to be turning them away at the door for some arbitrary rule that you just made up out of thin air. Wasted 2 hours of my day for nothing. FYI, your quarantine rule for COVID-19 is useless. This infection is present throughout the US so what is the point in a travel ban without the same state to a location THAT HAS FEWER CASES THAN DFW!!! read more

My daughter saw Dr. Patel for tonsil & adenoids, I went ahead and scheduled to have them out the following week. He was very professional and nice. I got to the office 30 min prior to our appointment time and we were brought back before our appointed time for the office visit. On surgery day Dr. Patel was on time and friendly. I brought my daughter in to see Dr. Patel and he excellent. He was very kind and gentle with my newborn and was very happy with our visits. Amanda in the front office was also always so kind and loved how she remember who we were when we would check in! I would enjoy going weekly because I never had a bad time at the office. My reasoning for one star is because of the billing department. BEWARE OF THEIR BILLING PRACTICES! I paid my deductible for the service and my EOB came back stating I owe only my copay. When I attempted to collect my overpayment Melisha was by far the rudest people I have ever spoken with at the office. Upon informing them about my EOB, they told me "that must not be right, we need to refile" and have sense given excuse after excuse blaming my insurance company. I called my insurance company to see what they can see multiple times, and they had no records of the "excuses" the ENT office was giving. Melisha stated she would follow up with me and return my emails, she hasn't. My insurance had tried calling, they haven't responded. The office will basically steal your money with shady business practices, proving they have no respect for their customers. Melisha was also extremely rude and confrontational until how I explained how one of her colleagues treated me before. She then tried to emphasize while still blaming me for not understanding insurance. I quickly let her know how I've worked in medical billing and I'm not misunderstanding. We had the WORST experience at ENT for children. My daughter went to see Dr. Patel for sleep apnea. He informed us that she would need to have her tonsils out. At the time, we were not ready to do the surgery; we wanted to wait until summer. He assured us that it would be fine to wait, and advised us to call the office when we were ready and schedule the surgery. We left, but not before paying a hefty copay for the office visit. Fast forward five months, and I call to schedule the surgery and was told by a very rude front desk person that we had a balance and that she would not speak to me until we cleared it. I was transferred to billing, where I explained that the balance was wrong--we had definitely paid. They said to call our bank and prove it because they had no record of it. I hung up and called our bank and, sure enough, I had most definitely paid. I emailed proof of payment to Jessica and after waiting for a response, and not getting one, called her. Her response: "oh, yes, I see that you paid now. I fixed it in our system." That's was it, no apology, nothing. I asked to have an the office manager call me, because I was very upset. Bottom line: the office manager was never verbally informed of what happened and she never called me back. I had to call and ask for her myself late the next day. When I finally spoke to her, she had no knowledge of what had taken place with our account. Bottom line: I would not recommend this practice to anyone. The office team plays a big part in patient care. I had the opportunity to work with several office representatives and most everyone of them were rude and seemingly incompetent. We will be going to another ENT. The great thing about living in DFW is that there is no shortage of talented physicians. Patients have choices, and our time is just as important and valuable as doctors and their staff. Don't just take my word for it though--read some of the other reviews. You will see that the front office is known by many for providing horrible patient service. Very disappointed. read more

My 2 year old son needed to get his ears checked for hearing issues and possibly tubes placed inside his ears. I checked multiple places online and chose this because it states " ENT for Children". You would think they would be accommodating toward kids. However I had the worst experience ever at any doctor's office. The time we waited in the waiting room was horrendous. It was close to an hour. As other parents know, any long wait with a toddler is stressful. The only reason I gave this place one-star is because of the on-site audiologist. She was very caring and comforting through the hearing test. Next, we had to wait another 20 minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Bauer was not very accommodating. My wife is an RN and she already knew his bedside manner was poor. To think, this "Doctor" stated our son may possibly be deaf and would need a hearing aid for the rest of his life. Dr. Murray is AMAZING!! I wanted to get a hearing test on my son to rule out hearing loss and the audiologists there were the sweetest ever with my son. I was so impressed. The receptionist/office staff is like a 2 out of 10. They are semi-friendly, and just eh. If I were the doctors, I would hire new office staff. Since the doctors and audiologists are amazing, I will overlook their semi rude office staff. read more

I think it is ridiculous that if you are 10-15 minutes late to your appointment by no fault of your own they refuse to see you. Even with me calling letting them know I was running late due to the train tracks being closed and traffic being horrible due to the closure they didn't seem to care. However, its ok for a patient to show up on time for their appointment and have to sit and wait 10-15 minutes or even longer before you are called back and then have to wait another 10 minutes to see the Doctor. That just showed me that they don't care about their patients and more concerned about how many bodies they can push through during to day to collect a check. Tried to discuss this with Office Manager but it appears that she doesn't have enough decency to call me back. Will find another doctor for my son. read more

We absolutely LOVE ENT for Children. Dr. Murray treated my daughter when she was 2 as well as my niece and both experiences were fantastic. One of the reviews on here really surprises me as I have referred 4 different friends to this practice and they have all had outstanding experiences as well. The doctors and audiologists all were very patient and loving towards my daughter and were able to get her to cooperate with all the tests (which really impressed me!). They gave me answers to all my questions and acted like they genuinely cared about the well being of my daughter. The office staff was really friendly and helpful too despite being ridiculously busy with a room full of patients waiting. read more

They explained my insurance to me since I didn't understand why my insurance didn't pay and why I got a bill ( because I have a deductible on my new plan). We first saw Dr Bauer when our baby was only 6 months old and had already had 4 ear infections. I scheduled surgery for tubes, had second thoughts, and cancelled because she was so young. They were so kind and understanding. In the next 6 weeks, she had 2 more infections and I rescheduled the surgery. It's been 6 months and we just had our post op. Her ears look great and she's so happy now! I see others have complained about the front staff; they must have a new crew because they have been so accommodating when I call and friendly when I arrive. I've been very impressed! read more

DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE LIED TO AND HAVE YOUR TIME WASTER!!! I would not recommend this place to one of my enemies much less a friend. The doctors are good from what I have seen and experienced but the staff is horrible. I have been lied to multiple times by multiple people in this office and there is no accountability for this. The doctor determined that my 2.5 year old needed to get her tonsils and adenoids out and needed tubs put in. We were ushered into the scheduler's office in which we were given dates based on the location we wanted to go to for the surgery. When determining when and where we would go I asked approximately what time her surgery would be. She told me that it is scheduled the day before by the surgical center so they couldn't be sure but based on her age it would be between 9-11. I was good with this so we set a date. The day before we got a call from the surgical center and was told the surgery would be at 1:20 in the afternoon. This wouldn't have been an issue at all if I hadn't scheduled child care for my other children based on the times the scheduler gave me nor if my 2.5 year old could eat. Have you tried to explain to a 2 year old why they can't eat for hours even though they are starving? This did not sit well with me so I called the office. The scheduler said there was nothing she could do and they are supposed to give out hours for the exact reason. I expressed that I appreciate that BUT I was given a time frame and I expect for it to be honored. They explained she was going so late because it was spring break and they had more than a normal amount of surgeries scheduled. I said that sounded like an issue on their end but there was no way I would allow my child to wait until 1:20 for surgery when I was given false info. I asked to speak to the officer manager and was directed to someone who represented themselves as such. She basically told me there was nothing they could do because the schedule is 100% up to the surgical center. She directed me to call them to see if there was anything that could be done. I did call the surgical center and was given completely different info. They told me the Dr. doesn't even start at their facility until 12 PM. I called back and asked to speak with the manager again only to find out the person who represented themselves as the manager wasn't actually the manager. The actual office manager was of more help. She informed me that the Dr does surgery at another facility early in that day and then goes to the facility I choose. I asked why I wasn't informed of this and why I was lied to about not only speaking to the "manager" but why I was told that it was just due to a larger amount of surgeries scheduled. She apologized and asked if we would be willing to go to another surgical center in which I replied of course and I wish I had been provided this information earlier. She was able to get us into the other facility at an earlier time. At this point I was so relieved I wasn't going to put a negative post. I was just glad that at least one person was willing to help and wasn't a liar. Then comes to the follow up appointment for my daughter which was scheduled a month in advance. I showed up for the appointment I scheduled only to be told that it was scheduled for the other location in which I know I didn't do. I asked if we could just see another Dr since we were already there and it was just a follow up to make sure everything looked good. I was told that wouldn't be possible. Why I am not surprised that I was once again lied to and have my time wasted. read more

Dr. Patel and Bauer are very nice and professional, however the office staff is horrible . The receptionist acts like she has a permanent cob up her backside , the billing department is horrible , the follow up is the worst I have seen. It is too bad such amazing doctors have such a unfriendly and too busy to deal with helping you attitude . Absolutely, hands down, the worst customer service I've ever experienced! My son had a tongue tie and when I went into the office to get it fixed I mentioned to the doctor a concern about his ears. He told me that another doctor handles the issue and that they would verify with my insurance what out of pocket cost I would incur. After the doctor had someone verify my benefits he came into the room and informed my husband and I that insurance will cover the prosthetics 100% and all we would have to pay out of pocket is our first office visit co-pay of $50. We scheduled to come in the next day to see the other doctor. Discussed this with the other doctor as well. He confirmed what the other doctor said. Yesterday I get a bill in the mail for $2550. I immediately call billing and they said that unfortunately although I was told that insurance would cover 100% that it's not true...are you kidding me?! You tell someone that we have nothing to pay and then say well it's not guaranteed??? False advertising!!! Then when I call the billing department was so rude! How would they feel being told something was free and get a surprise $2550 bill in the mail and then told, "sorry, we lied and you have to pay." Well they aren't seeing a dime from me. read more

I just got off the phone with Dr. Murray's office and hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced! My mother was going to take my daughter in for a visit today and I wanted to prepay so that my mom didn't have to pay anything out of her pocket. The lady(Elisa) who I was talking to decides to tell me at the last minute that a parent needs to be present during my daughters visit. This would have been nice to know this when we booked the appointment. I asked if they could make an exception especially since we fill out all of the forms online and submitted them as well as pre paying! My god I did everything you ask and I am giving you my money in advance! She then tells me that there was nothing they could do nor would she even look to see if there was an open appointment later in the day. She would not let me speak to the office manager and it was very obvious that she was trying to get me off of the phone. I told her that my wife and I are working but it was the least of her worries. Because of her I had to cancel my daughters appointment and I will never come back to Dr. Murray's office again! read more

This practice is disgusting. Twice I have tried to schedule, and I have realized never bother with these doctors. I first tried to get my 6 day old in to have her tongue tie fixed, but because insurance did not have my 6 day old listed yet (you know how quick HR, then insurance is) Dr. Patel would only see my baby, who was losing weight, if I paid in full. Didn't matter they could see my husband had coverage. Oh no, only that someone born less than a week ago, including the weekend, was not listed. And they would not take full payment by the VA either. But they would graciously let me come in since they were so concerned for my baby.(note sarcasm) Now I tried to make another appointment for ear tubes, and they again will not take my secondary insurance (new policy that started on Jan 1), which would cover all costs between the two insurances. Everyone needs to make a living, but all they care about is money, not actually treating sick kids. Save your time, go to Dr. Byran or Mettman, they care about treating people who are suffering. read more

My child has significant hearing loss in both ears. It occurred between the ages of four and five. She did not have multiple ear infections and did not need tubes. They were unable to determine the cause. It is a very scary and difficult time for us whenever she has ear pain and says she is having even further trouble hearing. I called the office to get an appointment, her assigned doctor is going on vacation--another doctor has availability--I am told--but his nurse will need to override the system to schedule the appointment. The nurse calls back and states that the doctor cannot see my daughter since the doctors only like to see their own patients. I explain that my daughter is not a surgical patient. I explain my fear of going to a PCP--the whole reason we see an ENT doctor is to have a specialist address her issues. She tells me the doctor is just too busy and cannot cover for his peer/partner---I already know he has availability. Total lack of customer service and empathy. These are our children. If it was for me,I would not care but when it affects my child--when I have sought out your care of her, entrusted that you would be available when issues arise and clearly your schedule was free......it either says volumes on your priorities $$$ or your skills--ability to evaluate a non-patients ear issue. My experience has been horrible. We took our son for the first time in October 2014. Our Pediatrician referred us to Dr Alan Murray we ended up getting Dr Paul Bauers. Me and my husband had question during the first appointment and he treated us like crap. Made us feel like we were dumb for even asking the questions we had. We decided to give him another try. My sister takes in and they do another hearing test because they feel like the first one was not accurate. So they do another test and then scheduled us to come in to hear the results of the test. Dr Bauer told us that our son's hearing is getting worse and that he could possibly be deaf or need hearing aids. So I am like ok so if it is that serious why is it taking so long for you to find a solution for my son???!!! So then he suggest an ABR test which is what we thought he should have done from the very beginning. What 22 month old will seat still for a hearing test???!!! So we plan for the ABR test which was suppose to be December 29 2014. We get a call from ENT for Children on Sunday December 28 2014 stating that will need to cancel my son's ABR test because their audiologist is out with the Flu. So the very thing that we have been waiting for 2 months to get done is now canceled...the lady on phone goes I wish I had a solution...I am like do you guys not have a substitute person that can come in??? I took off from work...my parents took off for this ABR test. We get a call on December 29 at 6am from Cook's Pediatric Surgery Center they asked if we were still coming . We said no the office canceled. So the office canceled with us but failed to call the other places involved with the test. So we decided to move on and go to another practice. I fax over my son's test results so that the new place can have the information. The new place calls ENT for Children for more records and they are told that they do not have any more records for our son...We had at least 6 appointments with ENT for Children and you mean to tell me that there is not a single record on my son????!!! I am sure if we would have gotten Dr Alan Murray on our first visit our experience would be a lot different...but I would not recommend Dr Paul Bauers or ENT for Children to anyone. I have nothing against the other Specialist because I didn't get to experience them... even after I beg them to change us to Dr Alan Murray they would not let me switch.
