Until now, I've never had a professional office of any type call me in advance to let me know doctor is a little behind schedule and I should arrive later. How considerate! I was referred to Dr. Schapiro for a possible root canal re-treatment but when he looked at my x-ray, he recommended an apicoectomy, which is basically a root canal through the gums. Seemed like a much better solution than pulling the tooth as my dentist had recommended. The procedure went well due to Dr. Schapiro's skill. His staff provided a neck pillow and a soft, warm blanket to keep me comfortable. Throughout the procedure, Dr. Schapiro asked if I was doing okay. And he repeatedly thanked his assistant for each task she performed. So polite! The atmosphere in this office is so welcoming and uplifting that my consternation about being there quickly faded away. Dr. Schapiro called me after the procedure and had me return a couple of times (at no extra cost) just to be sure I was healing well. I highly recommend Dr. Schapiro. Although I hope to never need his services again, I know that if I do, I will be treated with respect, kindness, and quality care.

From the moment you…read morepick up the phone and schedule your appointment you immediately know you picked the right dentist. As you can see from the other reviews, I am not making this up. Prior to Dr. Lerner, Root Canal was a scary word. He really takes the time to explain the issue, explain his course of action and throughout the whole procedure he makes sure you are feeling no pain. After the procedure, he even takes the time to check on you. Can you believe that?? A physician picks up the phone to check on you after a procedure. In my 41 years on this earth I have only experienced this one other time. Dr. Lerner and Barbara are truly one of a kind, not just from a medical practice standpoint but genuinely good souls. I implore you to venture no further for your Endodontic needs. This is the place, these are the people.

Today I had a root canal with Dr. Lerner. All I can say is WOW! Dr. Lerner is an exceptional…read moreendodontist. I'd been going back and forth for about 2 years with a tooth that had a deep filling on it and I was told that I'd probably eventually need a root canal. After putting a temporary crown on it and watching and waiting to see if the pain goes away, it went away for about 2 weeks and then returned. At this point, I was pretty sure I needed a root canal. My uncle just retired as an endodontist and did a root canal for me before, so I knew I needed to find another one. I don't settle for just anybody when it comes to my teeth because one thing I take good care of and invest in are my teeth and my health. I believe you get what you pay for and I don't shop around for deals when it comes to these things. Also, I'd never let a general dentist do a root canal on me. They're not trained in it and shouldn't be doing it. And quite honestly, no offense to the goyim, but I prefer my dentists to be Jewish. I went online and found Dr. Lerner's excellent reviews, so I gave him a call. From the moment I spoke to his wife Barbara on the phone, I felt comfortable. I told her I'm terrified of dental work and she reassured me that I'm going to the best. I soon learned that she wasn't just saying that because he's her husband, but because he really is the best. She said that she had 5 root canals done by him and never felt a thing. Not to mention he invented many endodontic procedures that are used in every endodontist office today and has impressive education credentials. His reviews on Google speak for themselves. He has people that fly in from all over the world to see him for a root canal. He even worked on Frank Sinatra! It just so happened that my sister and I needed root canals at the same time, so we went together. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in the right place and Barbara is so pleasant and really calms you down. The whole office was so laid back and friendly. I loved their on staff Bichon named Coquette. I'm a dog lover so this really helped calm me down even more. His assistant was able to get x-rays on me with ease on the first try, and it's usually very tough to get them on me. From the moment Dr. Lerner gave me the injection of Novacaine, I didn't feel a thing. He's by far the most gentle dentist I've been to. I could've gone to sleep I was so comfortable and Dr. Lerner was hilarious! He tells jokes as he works to keep you relaxed. But this is the most important thing for me, the numbness wore off 4 hours ago and I have absolutely NO pain. ZERO! I was worried about afterwards because after my first root canal, I had pain afterwards. I've had more pain after a filling than I have from today. He wasn't the cheapest endodontist around, but I wasn't looking for a deal because I believe that's when you get botched work, I paid $1,500 and it was worth every penny. I really hope I never need a root canal again because I wouldn't wanna go anywhere else when Dr. Lerner retires.

It's wonderful when you find a great doctor. I already have a great dentist (see that review…read moreseparately), but I needed to have two root canals (because one wouldn't be nearly as much fun as having two) and Dr. Prusakowski was the endodontist who they recommended. He is a bit of a drive being up in Boca, but he was worth the trip. First, the office is clean and well done. It's very cheery and inviting and it doesn't make you feel like you're about to die. Like some dental offices I've been to in South Florida (that's a separate review too). The front office staff are very nice and that's important. I was brought to the back and Dr. Prusakowski came in. He is awesome. Very nice, very personable. It turns our we're both originally from Pennsylvania and his mother's family comes from my area. What a small world. He looked at my x-rays and we discussed the treatment, and then he got to work. To say this place is state of the art would be an understatement. I've had root canals and I managed a dental office, but this place is far beyond anything I've seen before. And I was incredibly impressed at both the speed and accuracy of the work he was doing (using a microscope, that was just blowing me away), and his rapport with Ingrid, his assistant. She is amazing as well. She is very much an extension of his own hands. And the root canals? Pretty much painless. Even the injections didn't hurt. I never felt a thing throughout the procedures, even though he had to extirpate three roots. If you have to have a root canal, at least know there is a dentist who is going to do it well, with a minimal amount of discomfort in a very nice office with very nice staff. Looking at Dr. Prusakowski's other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who finds him to be excellent.

I had a root canal done here and, clinically, I've had no issues since the procedure. However, my concern is with their billing practices. The office is contracted with my insurance, yet I was billed an amount significantly higher than what was actually owed--nearly three times the correct amount. As someone with experience in the medical field and certified in billing, I reviewed the charges carefully and requested a correction. Unfortunately, the office refused to address the discrepancy, became unprofessional in their communication, and stopped responding altogether. I've since filed a grievance with my insurance to resolve the matter. My advice to others, do not pay the full billed amount without first reviewing your Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This document reflects the true patient responsibility based on the provider's contracted rates with your insurance.

It all started with my husband, who referred me to them after he had raving reviews about his experience. I hadn't been to the dentist in over a year, and that was on purpose. When I called to make an appointment, Mary's kindness instantly let me know I was going to have a good experience. I was right. I was greeted with a smile, an explanation of paperwork, and took a seat in their cute lobby. The woman who did my cleaning, Andrea, educated me on everything I needed to know regarding my services and what she was noticing in my teeth. She was kind, informative, gentle with the cleaning, paid attention to my comfort, the list can go on and on. She was amazing. I've never felt more comfortable. She let me look at my X-rays, explained what she was seeing and what would be covered by the dentist, I felt completely knowledgeable of what was going on. She went over flossing and brushing too. She even made sure the glasses to protect me from the light weren't squishing my eyelash extensions! (It's the little things) When I saw the Christina, the dentist, she took a look at everything, let me know what future services I needed, and was very sweet. She was briefed on my questions and concerns and answered them all. Upon checkout, Mary's kindness sealed my entire experience and I actually look forward to coming back. Novocaine doesn't typically work on me so it's usually a miserable experience. My appointment time was 10:30. Typically I want the first appt. of the day so there's no wait so I wasn't thrilled with the time. I was immediately greeted and given my forms (first visit). I barely put the pen down and was called in. My wait time? MAYBE five minutes. The two assistants could not have been kinder. I explained my fears and questions and everything was answered. Dr. Mitchell came in very quickly and gave me a warm, comforting greeting. I asked that he listen to me before starting anything. He graciously listened, and then explained everything, did the exam and determined I DID need a root canal. I required many injections (see reason above). Each was done gently as possible and Dr. Mitchell explained everything to me throughout the procedure. At one point an injection was required IN the tooth, which was very painful. He was as gentle as possible, and the wonderful assistant held and patted my hand for what seemed like a long time until I moved my hand. The full procedure and follow up was explained to me by Dr. Mitchell afterwards, and again by Arlene in the office as I was paying. The office made a miserable experience tolerable by their professionalism and caring. At no point did I feel rushed, as is so common nowadays in ANY medical office. Highly recommend!!
