It's pretty hard to complain about a health clinic that caters to people that can't afford health…read morecare such as myself. I was in the area one day and took note at their sign and made a mental note that they do drop ins starting at 8a.m. Fast forward a few days and I needed some medical attention and couldn't wait to book an appointment a few weeks out. A drop in was my only option. I've experienced drop ins at Brookside before and I know you can spend hours waiting to see the doctor. I always prepare myself with a fully charged phone and plenty of reading material. The ladies behind the glass were courteous and assisted me with the necessary paperwork. Luckily, the Richmond clinic shares the patient information with the San Pablo location and I didn't have to fill out a stack of additional forms. As for the dreaded part, I waited for approximately four hours to be called in. The waiting time is excruciating, but there's no other option. The medical assistant took my vitals and I waited for the doctor. The doctor was professional, but neglected to introduce the student intern, which I thought was somewhat rude. I explained my reason for the visit and she diagnosed me according. My only complaint was the whole visit seemed rush and a little on the rude side. I forgot to include something in my paperwork and the doctor was a little ticked. My apologies. Additionally, I felt the medical assistant was a little rude with me. Nevertheless, when you can't afford insurance, your options are slim and you'll take what you can get.

Smooth interface with a pharmacy. As a long time Kaiser patient I was delighted to see how another heath system works. Kudos!

Dr. Logan is the best provider I've had the privilege of working with. She has accompanied my…read morefamily and I for over a decade now of medical care, and she is just the best. Examples (I have many more but will just share a few) - she always makes sure I understand the results of not only tests she orders but ones that my specialists order if they haven't explained them to me. She makes recommendations that are outside of what I would consider often - like she recommended a specific supplement that stopped the hot flashes I developed postpartum for four years vs another provider who told me "well if that's your only symptom, maybe get some fans." She cares about my kids even though they haven't seen her as patients yet*, she is efficient yet spends as much time with me as she can to address my concerns, and she remembers details about me that make me feel cared for and seen. As a now pretty functional person with severe PTSD, I have to stay on top of treatment and such, and to that end Dr. Logan has been willing in the past to communicate with my psychiatric nurse practitioner and therapist - and honestly, she's one of the only MDs/DOs I work with who has been willing/able to communicate with other providers directly in the past several years and it's SO MUCH more efficient than my other providers passing messages back and forth through me like a game of telephone. (*They don't see her yet only because her office doesn't have connections to an after hours pediatric urgent care clinic - once my kids are old enough to not need that we will be switching.) It's really challenging being a provider in today's American healthcare system, and I really appreciate Dr. Logan and how hard she works to make sure her patients get the best care possible within the broken system we're all functioning in. (I'm a different kind of provider in healthcare so see the provider side often - but I'm also a patient.)

They took my insurance until I went in to see her, then nope. Don't know why, or what I did. But she acts mean, terse when she spoke to me. Then after refusing the insurance they accepted at first, she overcharges. $585 for a visit in 2021. I would avoid her like the plague.

I have been being seen by Dr. Morford for several years,…read more even before the move to the current location. I have received very good results from this group, they are on time almost every time I have an appointment, and when they are behind it is because of an emergency or unforeseen event, and then it is explained as to what is happening. The office staff is polite and very efficient.

I saw Drs who became part of Stanford when they had an office down the road across from the old Brooks Hospital. Some of those adds. Became part of Stanford and some left for other places such as Kaiser. A few of my Drs.were there for years until they retired.Like Dr. Morford.Or went to better positions l.One of the best ones Dr. Randal Tom passed away at too early an age. Iin the last few years I began seeing a Doctor who was a young studious person. I thought this Dr. was great for a few years. I hada small stroke last February and this Doctor for all practical purpose with me disappeared. I guess it was too much to expect that the Doctor would be supportive to any thing more then the in office physicals I was going there for three or four times a year. Life is strange, especially being ill. A few of my past Drs. Would have been more ethical. Make sure if you go there you are sure that your Doctor can work with you and your situation.
