Jay Persi is a stereotypical insurance salesman that is beyond eager to make his sale, collect his…read morecommission and then never deal with you again after locking you in for annual commissions. He went all out to sign me up for an expensive Chubb homeowners and umbrella liability policy(don't get me wrong I think Chubb is good) and the moment he becomes your "agent of record" don't expect to hear from him again. During the sale process he also misrepresented (though probably on accident) that I had no coverage under another homeowner's policy for an investment property, and I had to crawl through the insurance docs to confirm he was wrong. After signing up for Chubb through Jay, I purchased another home, moved and did various things where I needed information and he would not have the courtesy of even responding to my phone calls or emails. I called Chubb a couple times to complain about Coughlin but they were eager to protect their "producer" and while offering to address my immediate need, they were reluctant to take a complaint and would not give me the option to move to another agent. Which is a shame given Chubb is otherwise a good company but I am in the process of shopping for another carrier now because I simply cannot allow this agent to continue earning commissions off me for nonexistent customer service.

I called Ethan to ask about renters insurance and he told me that my landlord's insurance does not cover damage to my stuff or legal liability if people are injured at my place. He did explain that renters insurance does cover damage from fire, smoke and regular weather damage. It also offers me 'lawsuit protection' if someone was hurt at my place and sued me. I didn't realize how inexpensive renters insurance was. I didn't know what I didn't know until I spoke to Ethan.

I've had a positive experience working with Insurox, particularly with Monika Conevska. She was…read moreproactive about reviewing my flood insurance options instead of simply sending renewal paperwork and waiting for a response. When one renewal increased to more than $2,000, Monika shopped the market and found an alternative policy for about $400. The following year, she reached out ahead of the renewal, reviewed the available carriers again, and found another option for about $247 compared with a roughly $481 renewal offer. I independently checked the available pricing and reached the same conclusion about the policy she recommended. I especially appreciate the initiative. Monika pays attention to upcoming renewals, searches for better alternatives without needing to be prompted, and explains the options clearly. Her work has saved me a substantial amount of money and made the renewal process considerably easier.
