When I called to check where the technician was they said he had a problem with his first job, had returned to the shop, and went back out. I was never given any indication the technician would not arrive during the arranged time window. I ended up having to call multiple times to request someone to finally come out, and did not get a technician out to my house until 3:30. I ended up missing a whole day of work, and paying a bundle on top.

Mirrors & doors activate, when key remains in one's pocket. Visit 3, they installed new batteries (though new key should've had fresh ones already). Visit 4, Lamar ordered a new key. I was told new key's ready but it wasn't when I arrived on Visit 5 be THE locksmith wasn't there. So, on Visit 6, I after waiting 1 hour for service, was given & tested the new key. It works. Friends told me, afterward, keys shld be made by dealer. Lesson learned bc, saving $150 wasn't worth 6 visits. However, Lamar has decent customer serv, convenient shop hours & location, and is likely proficient for facility locks & keys, and non-computerized vehicle keys. I wont use them again for hi-tech keys.

I spoke with John who told me that the charge for a technician to come to the site would be $29, and that the Technician would come with locks that we could choose from. He added that the lock starts from $30. Appointment made, and confirmed for 10:30 am on Thursday, 3/25/2021.Technician David (phone no. 540-495-1782) came to the address. He informed me and my husband that the charge was $320. I informed him of what John that I spoke with told me about pricing. "The person you spoke with is not licensed and that is the price." He took advantage of the presence of the two Sheriffs in attendance, and time constraint. He ended taking $409 cash from us. The receipt sent to my cell phone showed $309, for two locks. The receipt has A1 Locksmith on it. David only changed one lock. I called several times to talk with the Manager Jay (Day) who said he would call back after contacting the Technician. We left voicemail message on David's Cell phone (No. 540-495-1782) calling his attention that he only changed one lock and got $409 from us. David called back and denied changing one lock. He also denied getting $409 from us. "I only got $309 from you. I think you have problem with your wife. F... you" He said and hung up. The company should deal honestly, respectfully, professionally, considerably with customers. Technician David of A1 Locksmith should refrain from using vulgar language to customers. The price was competitive with the market but their response time and ability to get to us faster than anyone else made standing out in the cold all that much easier. Within twenty minutes they arrived and after another five we were in the house. Jamal, was professional, and took care not to damage my door. He explained the process and how he would damage the weather stripping if he were to use the air wedge. I really appreciated that considering it's freezing outside and it was just installed. So, Jamal picked the lock, and after explained a few other issues I had been having with deadbolt. He offered to fix it, but provided advice on how to do it myself should I decide not to use his service. The guy was awesome and I'll use his service again should I find myself locked out of my car, my house or for my deadbolt.
