In addition to selling art they also facilitate museum exhibitions, special projects, and commissions. One of my favorite artists they represent is Spanish artist Manolo Valdés. I love Mariposas, his head sculptures with butterflies surrounding it. They have a really large installation in Sunny Isles. I also love his Spanish ladies sculptures. There was one on display in downtown Doral and they have the same purple quartz figure in front of the gallery. I was looking forward to checking out all of the art in the gallery but I got a frosty reception from the woman working there who told me not to go upstairs but couldn't be bothered to look up from her phone. I guess you have to look like you can afford it to be welcomed here.

And then during one of the Art Basel week, they presented us with a "doorway" into the new, expanded area known now as Wynwood Doors The area features a couple of long walls that feature wonderful murals (along the entire length of the walls) and a very large wall that presented an amazing Ron English mural (which highlighted that green, muscle baby). I loved that the mural continued onto the floor towards the viewers giving a three dimensional effect. The other side of the area has a bunch of small garage doors (like the ones to storage units) and each door had a mural or other art installation on it. Wynwood Doors also has a common area with grass (although they don't want you walking on it) and a tree with what appears to be chinese lantern lights and large boulders that people love to take photos on (which is great with the murals as the backdrop). Love what they have done with this space !

What's cool is that metal roll-down gates were installed along the walls so they can be pulled up or down to reveal different pieces of art. They've always been down when I visit, but still cool to know. Artists come from all across the world and you can be sure they're some of the best. I really dig a lot of the work. There are some awesome lights hanging off of the tall tree in the middle that I always want to steal, and a cool dragon sculpture to add to the mix. It creates a unique environment, especially for special events! During Art Basel, I've gone to yoga classes inside the Wynwood Doors which is always fun and special. Overall, the Wynwood Doors were a great addition to the Wynwood scene five years ago. I'm sure it'll remain a regular spot in my Wynwood jaunt.

The evening was much more than an art gathering, it truly felt like a community coming together to honor an artist whose work continues to inspire generations. Guests had the opportunity to admire Clark's incredible pieces while connecting over refreshing drinks, great conversations, music, and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The selection was small but enough to contemplate the very best of his art. Also it was free for the public, so it was really a great gesture to the community. One of the highlights was seeing kids engage creatively through hands-on art activities, adding such a meaningful and joyful touch to the experience. And to close the celebration, everyone enjoyed delicious fried fish that perfectly complemented the spirit of togetherness behind the event. A memorable evening filled with art, culture, food, and community. Truly a beautiful tribute to Ed Clark's 100-year legacy.
