He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. My dog's grooming appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, yet she was not finished until approximately 4.5 hours later. During this time, I returned multiple times to the salon and personally observed my dog confined in a cage for more than three hours without grooming being performed. It was clear that the salon overbooked appointments while operating with only three groomers on staff. Additionally, the groomer originally assigned to my dog was changed without my knowledge or consent, and the replacement groomer appeared inexperienced and rushed through the service simply to complete it after hours of delay. The final grooming result reflected this -- rushed, careless, and not acceptable given the amount of time my dog was kept waiting. This is the second time I've experienced this issue at this location, and this visit was significantly worse than the first. Leaving dogs crated for hours due to staffing and scheduling problems is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about animal welfare. I am extremely dissatisfied and expect this issue to be addressed.
