I went with my granddaughter to see the studio and met with Janice who was very welcoming and informative; a real pleasure to deal with. I then followed up with a phone call to start my granddaughter in their Saturday summer program and was blessed to deal with Ruth. She helped me set up an account to pay and enroll my granddaughter and welcomed us to the Armour Dance family. This past Saturday my daughter took my granddaughter for the first class with Ms. Rachel, the teacher for that age group, and was extremely pleased with her and her manner of teaching. I was able to view some videos my daughter took, and as a previous ballet student and teacher, was extremely impressed with her teaching and her interactions with the students. I have enrolled my granddaughter for their upcoming school year ballet classes, highly recommend this studio and feel fortunate to have found them.

We have been blessed to be part of this community for over ten years. The teachers, leadership and staff have been wonderful, providing guidance to me and my daughter as she progressed in her ability and grew in maturity. TAYB teaches more than dance, it teaches important life skills like delayed gratification and the role of hard work in accomplishing your goals. This fall my daughter will be going away to school, which led us to observe ballet programs at her new school, all of which fared poorly in comparison to TAYB. For the quality of instruction and the loving support, we will miss the TAYB community but we will be back during the holidays and will continue to support TAYBs outreach efforts through which they touch so many lives.

I can't wait to see the next show, it was such a fun night and something that I have never experienced be. The only thing that I would have liked to be different is that the benches that we sat on had some sort of cushion. By the end of the show my backside and back were aching. The singing and acting was top notch!

The immersive setup made it feel like you were right in the middle of the story, and the cast was incredible. Their singing was amazing, but what really impressed me was how versatile they were -- everyone just embodied their roles so naturally. The attention to detail was next level. Even the lobby was themed to match the show, which made the whole night feel extra special. It reminded me a little of Sleep No More in New York -- not quite as interactive, but it had that same feeling of being part of the story rather than just watching it unfold. A couple of tips if you're planning to go: Get there early if you care about where you sit. Since it's immersive, the experience can vary depending on where you're positioned. Parking is in a garage nearby, and you'll have to walk a bit to the venue, so check the map on their website beforehand -- it'll save you some stress (especially if you do end up running late) They do have concessions, but dont expect anything super fancy or unique. I think they missed out on an opportunity to do something fun and thematic with this. Overall, I'd see this again in a heartbeat, and I'm already looking forward to checking out more shows here. Highly recommend!

I learned so much in every single class I took. In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. I highly recommend this studio to all dancers and artists who are eager to learn and perfect their craft.

This is a full dance school that offers: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Pas De Deux, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, Flamenco, Modern Dance, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Drama, Piano, Guitar, Violin, and Voice. The faculty is certified and have led professional careers in their respective areas of creative expertise. They begin laying a foundation from the preschool years all the way to young adulthood. And they have both female and male students. They also offer an AfterSchool program and work your child's classes at a mutually suitable schedule. The cost of the classes is comparable to other dance academies. I have enjoyed closely watching the development in my niece, as well as in many of her close friends. I also look forward to their professionally-mounted recitals every year.

I have seen a lot of dance schools and gymnastic training facilities but none of them have anything on Les Ailes du Desir. This is a well-run business and the people that work here really care about what they are doing and the people they are training. The different classes provided cover all of the circus arts; lyra, hoops, straps, silks, and trapeze for example. The instructors are all knowledgeable, skilled and kind. The facility is in a nondescript part of Miami not too far from Wynwood. You would not think much looking from the outside but inside is a great space for this type of studio/gym/school. The ceilings are high and the place is well equipped. All the classes are available for sign up in the MindBody app ... so what are you waiting for! ;-)

That's…read morewhen I decided to have a VBAC and thought that prenatal yoga would be critical in achieving an easier and natural birth. What I found was much more important than just a yoga class, I found a community! Debra is an amazing childbirth educator! I enjoyed the yoga classes because it wasn't just about yoga - it was about the whole birthing process. My husband and I also took her Hypnobirthing class which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Debra gives insight on all things birthing. When I talked to her about my VBAC plans, she recommended that I see Dr. Sancetta, who is widely known in the South FL community for VBACs. Sure enough, in my 34th week, after my initial consultation with Dr. Sancetta, I changed medical providers. My first baby came via c-section after a long 30 hour labor. I pushed for 3 hours and she never moved an inch. My doctor at the time told me that I had a "small" and "tight" pelvis which is why Baby #1 got "stuck". He told me that my subsequent labors most likely would go the same way and I might always have a hard time delivering naturally. Fast forward 18 months, and I was able to achieve my natural and unmedicated VBAC and I have to thank Debra for that. I truly believe that what I learned from Debra's yoga class, in addition to chiropractic care, helped to properly align my pelvis and create more space for the baby. The morning that I was in labor, I texted Debra to let her know that I wouldn't make it to class because I thought I was in early labor. She replied that if it was still early, I should come in to stretch, relax, and open up the hips. As I wasn't in too much pain yet, I decided to go - definitely had some contractions in class and she showed me how to breathe through them. Baby was born 4 hours later! Almost delivered in the car. Showed up to the hospital at 10cm. I was shocked to say the least. Thank you Debra for all your help and believing that I could do it!

Prenatal Plus Yoga is quite close to my house so I gave it a try starting around 18 weeks. In the end, I got so much more out of it than just a workout. Yoga classes are offered three days a week - Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday morning (but additional classes may be added based on demand, so check the website or reach out to Debra). Each class is 90 minutes and includes everything from stretching and yoga poses, to massage, dancing and singing. At the beginning of the class, everyone introduces themselves and you also partner up at times, so it was a great opportunity to meet other local pregnant women. I ended up forming great relationships and now have my nearby mom tribe! Debra is the instructor and biz owner, she's also a doula and offers a bunch of other classes like hypnobirthing, mommy and me, CPR and more. There's not a lot of similar businesses in the area, so it's all much appreciated! All in all, I'd definitely encourage any moms-to-be to check out Prenatal Plus. It definitely made my pregnancy journey all the better!
