We have since then had a new appointment at shores pediatrics in Miami shores which was a completely different experience more respectful and they informed me my son is perfectly healthy and that you guys at Miami Beach pediatrics made bad suggestions which explains why you guys have a 3.5 rating and shores pediatrics has a 4.6 I wouldn't suggest anyone who loves there children or wife to come here for any reason!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Going to leave a pic here of my son for you guys to see because I would never let you near him again !

For our initial appointment Dr. Abreu found something of concern from our baby. She did lab testing and emailed us that night to follow-up with good news. That hospitality and devotion is something you don't get at the doctor's office. Normally they will get back to you in a few days or forget. Dr. Abreu explains things to us in detail, she patiently listens to our concerns and questions, she makes you feel like family. Dr. Abreu is supportive of our dynamic when caring for our baby but offers her recommendations. She never rushes us during our appointments and is willing to look at photos we've taken of our baby for concerns or listen to any behavioral activity we weren't sure of. If you are in search of a pediatrician I 100% believe you will love Dr. Abreu. The office has always taken us on time for our appointment. Easy to schedule appointments in the office. Very friendly staff. They normally are busy so if you call you may be on hold for a bit. Valet is $4 in a covered garage next to Bocas Grill and Roads Pediatrician.

Love, love, love this location! I came here to see Dr. Ouellette who recently moved to this…read morelocation from her Coral Gables location. This facility is very nice and clean (as it should). The security guard was a little rude though but that's sometimes to be expected. On the 4th floor where the sports medicine office is, the two young ladies that were present were very nice. They were very attentive. One was actually training the other on how to check in patients in her absence (I assume) as they worked for two different doctors. The inside is almost set up like a hospital floor. You have the "nurses station" in the middle and the surrounding rooms. I suppose that that is where they do their charting after every patient or maybe they have their own offices. Overall I think this is a great location and the view is even better.

Unfortunately, my experiences at this primary care doctor's office fell short of expectations due to inadequate communication and a lack of follow-through on essential services like translation and referrals. Let's advocate for ourselves and others by seeking out healthcare providers who demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. By doing so, we can reclaim our health and wellness journeys, ensuring timely access to necessary treatments and support. Remember, your health matters, and you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. But you know what, a lot of moms are unhappy with their chlidren's doctors and for once, I've found a wonderful one and wanted to share it with the world! Geez...I sound like some crazed lunatic, but I had a pretty rough week with my daughter (she has some creepy rash) and Dr. O helped us out big time. Other pluses? There is never a wait, she always calls back when you have questions, the practice is uber clean and the nurses are nice. Which is a nice change in an industry chockfull of dirty waiting rooms, hour-long waits and wicked help. So if you live near the Design District and are fishing around for a new doc, go here. All my friends go to her as well and love her to pieces too.

She's ok. I went to…read moreher for years. You expect a pediatrician to be friendly and connect with your children. She does not. She always referred to my child as "Hey, kid!". I don't expect her to memorize every child's name that comes to her practice but this is just one example of her impersonality. Henry, the dog and her staff are friendlier. Her staff, by the way are accommodating and patient. She is a straight shooter. Down to business. No warmth,no cuddles, no rainbows and no goddamn bubbles. Get in and get the hell out. Again no problem with her staff. I will never forget how she scolded me when she discovered that I did not realize that my child was autistic. How the eff am I supposed to know?? Smh. I have a new pediatrician now and the experience is way better. And the practice I go to now is BUSIER. But when my pediatrician sits down with my child I see leprauchans and a pot of gold. And no my pediatrician DOES NOT know my child's name by heart either but she CONNECTS with me and child during our visit. Therin lies the difference. I hesitated to write this review for years because of all the glowing reviews. But now I see I'm not the only one. She's not horrible but one can do better. Meh. Oh, but the one good thing, about her is that she is not focused on prescribing unnecessary medicines/antibiotics. I'll add another star just for that.

I've used the portal to communicate with only for them to respond 4 days later. You cannot call directly into the office, you call the number for their company and they will give a message to that location who will have to then tell the doc/nurse you are trying to get a hold of. Referrals take 7-10 days to get. It sucks because I actually like my daughter's doc, but this place is a sh*t show. This is not how you efficiently run an office. I can't believe this is sustainable.

I brought my baby in for what I felt was an urgent medical concern and I found PA Lourdes Lopez to be rude, dismissive and unprofessional. She did not perform what I felt was a thorough examination of my daughter, and her manner toward us was lacking in compassion and respect. Because I was not confident in the care my daughter was receiving, I left and took her directly to the emergency room. There, the hospital staff properly evaluated her condition, treated her and resolved the issue. While I am grateful for Dr. Alvarez and the care he provides, this experience with the PA was extremely disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the quality of patient care and communication in the future.
