Salt will get on your clothes if they're dark and sit on the floor, so if you don't want any marks, just stick to the chairs! I personally loved sitting right on the salt though!

Please read on and judge for yourselves. My husband and I had our first visit to Spavia last month in Dublin, Ohio, where he received an outstanding salt stone massage. Since we live in Cleveland, he was looking forward to having a similar experience at the Spavia in Strongsville. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite -- truly awful for him. Based on his provider, Ashley's reviews, it's clear his experience with her, wasn't due to her lack of skill or knowledge, but rather her lack of enthusiasm and unwillingness to perform the service with care. Making his 60 minutes session grueling and very uncomfortable. Far below Spavia's standards. From an excessively long and overly oily scalp effleurage "rub." It could hardly be called a scalp "massage." To the poor use of the stones, it was absolutely apparent that Ashley performed the "whole" service begrudgingly. After spending over $200, including tip, my husband left feeling stressed instead of relaxed. Maybe she was having an off day, but for an establishment like Spavia -- especially at this price point -- the service was totally uncomfortable & unacceptable. To say the least. I'm writing this review on his behalf, as it was such a disappointing and demeaning experience that he prefers not to relive it. To their credit, the managers immediately expressed concern and offered to "make things right." One thing I didn't like is that they didn't have a changing room, lockers, or showers like some nicer places. They probably don't have the space. They put us in a small dimly lit room with two massage tables and left us to undress. The area to stand in was also small, so it was a little uncomfortable stripping into your panties and hanging all your clothes on the few hooks on the wall. (Where can I put my shoes so they won't trip over them in the dark?!). We had to take turns. The massage itself was so relaxing, I could have fallen asleep. The lotion was nice and not heavily scented. I would go again.
