I never saw anything stating this. Only if you canceled within 48hrs or were a no show. And nothing was mentioned at time of booking like the owner said. Will not be back. I feel she is shady. He applied the perfect amount of pressure especially in the problem areas I experience from a very bad car accident. He asked the appropriate questions, & focused on the areas that required the most attention without creating a painful pressure that would've been outrageously problematic during our service. I left feeling relaxed and comfortable-- price for service is ideal and reasonable. Sami did my facial. She upsold me on a service which I can appreciate as she felt it would be good to include. Prices for these services are also very reasonable and on par with affordable services without gauging your wallet. I received a diamond dermabrasion and as always, am thrilled with my results. She was considerate of my skincare needs and decided to lessen the suction to save me from irritation. Thanks girl! We did an oxygen infusion as well and although I don't know much about the science of that service, it's a fun add on that enhances the experience therefore making it enjoyable and fun. She was informative but allowed me to sit in silence for the more relaxing portions of the service which is awesome because although I love a good chit chat, I do like to relax as well during my services at least during the relaxing portion. We were hopeful and did so--almost a month ago--but to date, we've received no reply from them. Regarding, his experience. We had hoped to write an updated, more positive review based on their stated desire to "make it right." Sadly, we cannot. Below is the review sent to the owners/managers about a month ago. Please read on and judge for yourselves. My husband and I had our first visit to Spavia last month in Dublin, Ohio, where he received an outstanding salt stone massage. Since we live in Cleveland, he was looking forward to having a similar experience at the Spavia in Strongsville. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite -- truly awful for him. Based on his provider, Ashley's reviews, it's clear his experience with her, wasn't due to her lack of skill or knowledge, but rather her lack of enthusiasm and unwillingness to perform the service with care. Making his 60 minutes session grueling and very uncomfortable. Far below Spavia's standards. From an excessively long and overly oily scalp effleurage "rub." It could hardly be called a scalp "massage." To the poor use of the stones, it was absolutely apparent that Ashley performed the "whole" service begrudgingly. After spending over $200, including tip, my husband left feeling stressed instead of relaxed. Maybe she was having an off day, but for an establishment like Spavia -- especially at this price point -- the service was totally uncomfortable & unacceptable. To say the least. To their credit, the managers immediately expressed concern and offered to "make things right." Someone who used to work there (she has gone from 16 employees to 2) told her not sell gift cards because she wasn't going to have the staff to perform the services. I will definitely go back to her in the future. Then I returned just yesterday for a massage with my best friend. They have a special for June: a couples massage for $100. One thing I didn't like is that they didn't have a changing room, lockers, or showers like some nicer places. They probably don't have the space. They put us in a small dimly lit room with two massage tables and left us to undress. The area to stand in was also small, so it was a little uncomfortable stripping into your panties and hanging all your clothes on the few hooks on the wall. (Where can I put my shoes so they won't trip over them in the dark?!). We had to take turns. The massage itself was so relaxing, I could have fallen asleep. The lotion was nice and not heavily scented. I would go again.
