Huge thank you to Sunset for their after hours care. I've been here a few times in the past…read more They've always been so kind to me. My frenchie got into something dangerous and rushed her to Westbury Animal Clinic for their 24/7 emergency care. After waiting 15 mins they told me their vet left so they couldn't help me. So I went over to Sunset. I knew I should have gone there originally and now I will. They got us checked instantly and Gia saw the vet within an hour. They staff was kind, caring and honest. Thank you again sunset!

I was a little scared to come here because the reviews were mixed on both Yelp and Google. But…read morethere is not a ton of options for 24 hour emergency Vet Care. I came here because my sweet boy was having a front leg issue and my Vet was closed for the day. I arrived at 4p and ended up checking out at about 7p. When I arrived and filled out the required paperwork. There was another pet mama that had just been turned away and told to go to Gulf Coast Vet. She seemed frustrated and upset. I had hoped that wasn't a bad omen that she essentially was being turned away. I actually went outside when she left, to talk to this pet mama to understand more and see if she was ok. She said that when she had called ahead they told her they could help her and perform a procedure that was needed, but when she arrived they declined to do it and told her to go to another emergency vet. She just felt frustrated she had drove all the way here wasting time. I wished her well, and went back inside. At this point I didn't feel like I had much time to search around for another 24/7 emergency vet, as there are only a handful in greater houston. Once I filled out the required paperwork, and was placed in the exam room and we waited there. Then it took a little to get his vitals taken. Then they did the Vet exam outside the room. Which I guess is a choice? Or maybe there policy? But after the exam. I finally saw the Vet in person. He recommended an xray. Then he leaves, they send there billing person to go over cost. I was estimated $800+. I agreed to most of the recommendations. But declined to have an outside radiologist read the xray as it seemed unnecessary. We proceed with everything. After the xray the Vet came back in. Showed me the imaging. And said crate rest for 2 weeks. Prescribed some anti inflammatory meds and other meds for home, and said the swelling should go down. Luckily his leg was not broken or fractured. So that was the good news. But the vet tech while giving my meds in the room said the cost should go down to $300+ only. But when I went to check out, it was about $700. So I asked them to go over the bill, and told them what the tech had told me. So I asked for the vet tech again. Shr came out an apologized about the mismatch of what I actually paid versus what she had verbally quoted me. I mean I am grateful my dog was able to seen and taken care of. It's a pricey endeavor regardless even for a work up.

The people that work here are clearly genuine animal lovers and enjoy working with pets. I've been to a lot of places where the employees are rude or indifferent but that's not the case here. The practice is very clean and all staff wear masks and wear them properly which I think is great. My cat has never been so happy and at ease at a vet appointment before, when they brought her back in her carrier she was so chill and she was definitely nervous coming in. The vet herself is so awesome and explained everything in a simple and easy to understand way. They did not try to "upsell" me on a bunch of questionably necessary tests/procedures, which I really appreciated. They treated my cat and I with so much respect and straight away got to determining what's wrong and how to fix it. I would highly recommend this vet and I look forward to bringing my other pets here for care in the future.

I took my dog to Village Vet for years but I always felt like they were really expensive, and I was right. One time I was quoted almost $700 for a dental cleaning. The care that they provided for my dog was pretty good. He never had any illnesses, so it was just vaccines and preventive care. I stopped going there after the super high dental cleaning quote.

As of 11/13/25, I stopped taking my dog here after I still have not heard back from the manager…read moreabout the incident that happened that day. Today is 11/25/25. Read below to find out more... I have been taking my dog to daycare for the last few months (just half days and a few times out of the week) to help socialize him and get his energy out. I only took him here because it's only a few minutes away from our house. I take my other dog to another daycare and now both of them attend the same daycare, NOT at Dogtopia. First off, I always request for HALF DAYS for my dog's daycare. I have several emailed receipts charging me for full days and I always have to call to let them know that they incorrectly charged me. After about the 5th time, I decided to just tell the front desk every time I pick up my dog to "please only charge for a half day." It was annoying but what's even more annoying is me having to call every single time I was incorrectly charged. Second, there's 2 workers in particular that are constantly crating my dog. I know this because I constantly check the cameras to see what my dog is up to. 9 times out of 10, depending on which worker is in charge of the room that he's in, he's crated. In my screenshot, you can see my timer at the top on exactly how long this worker kept my dog in the crate. 55 minutes is totally unacceptable and I still have not received any word from the manager about this. I was told that she was trying to keep my dog away from a senior dog that was vomiting several times that day. If my dog isn't the one vomiting and making a complete mess, then why are you crating MY dog?? When I came to pick up my dog, the worker told the girl in the room about the situation and I could tell she seemed annoyed having to unlock the door and uncrate my dog. It's as if she just wanted to keep him locked up for hours. Every time I've seen her on the cameras when my dog is with her, she has a bad attitude and always looks unhappy. Third, for over 1 month (not even exaggerating), their cameras weren't working so none of the owners had a way to check in on their dogs. Supposedly they said that it had something to do with the internet provider, however, they were all able to browse on their own work computer. Not going to lie, I was worried and tried avoiding taking my dog to daycare when the cameras weren't working because I had a feeling they were just crating my dog for who knows how long. I highly don't recommend this place whatsoever. I have been wanting to write this review for a long time and decided to wait to see if someone would reach out to me about the incident. It's been 12 days so I'm at the point where I'm convinced no one will reach out at this point. Please do not try to reach out to me to take down this review by bribing me with compensation. No amount of compensation for all the mishap will make me ever come back again!
