Huge thank you to Sunset for their after hours care. I've been here a few times in the past…read more They've always been so kind to me. My frenchie got into something dangerous and rushed her to Westbury Animal Clinic for their 24/7 emergency care. After waiting 15 mins they told me their vet left so they couldn't help me. So I went over to Sunset. I knew I should have gone there originally and now I will. They got us checked instantly and Gia saw the vet within an hour. They staff was kind, caring and honest. Thank you again sunset!

I was a little scared to come here because the reviews were mixed on both Yelp and Google. But…read morethere is not a ton of options for 24 hour emergency Vet Care. I came here because my sweet boy was having a front leg issue and my Vet was closed for the day. I arrived at 4p and ended up checking out at about 7p. When I arrived and filled out the required paperwork. There was another pet mama that had just been turned away and told to go to Gulf Coast Vet. She seemed frustrated and upset. I had hoped that wasn't a bad omen that she essentially was being turned away. I actually went outside when she left, to talk to this pet mama to understand more and see if she was ok. She said that when she had called ahead they told her they could help her and perform a procedure that was needed, but when she arrived they declined to do it and told her to go to another emergency vet. She just felt frustrated she had drove all the way here wasting time. I wished her well, and went back inside. At this point I didn't feel like I had much time to search around for another 24/7 emergency vet, as there are only a handful in greater houston. Once I filled out the required paperwork, and was placed in the exam room and we waited there. Then it took a little to get his vitals taken. Then they did the Vet exam outside the room. Which I guess is a choice? Or maybe there policy? But after the exam. I finally saw the Vet in person. He recommended an xray. Then he leaves, they send there billing person to go over cost. I was estimated $800+. I agreed to most of the recommendations. But declined to have an outside radiologist read the xray as it seemed unnecessary. We proceed with everything. After the xray the Vet came back in. Showed me the imaging. And said crate rest for 2 weeks. Prescribed some anti inflammatory meds and other meds for home, and said the swelling should go down. Luckily his leg was not broken or fractured. So that was the good news. But the vet tech while giving my meds in the room said the cost should go down to $300+ only. But when I went to check out, it was about $700. So I asked them to go over the bill, and told them what the tech had told me. So I asked for the vet tech again. Shr came out an apologized about the mismatch of what I actually paid versus what she had verbally quoted me. I mean I am grateful my dog was able to seen and taken care of. It's a pricey endeavor regardless even for a work up.

I brought my darling cat here today and this is by far the best vet experience I've had thus far…read more Everyone is exceedingly friendly, from the receptionists to the vet and her assistant. The people that work here are clearly genuine animal lovers and enjoy working with pets. I've been to a lot of places where the employees are rude or indifferent but that's not the case here. The practice is very clean and all staff wear masks and wear them properly which I think is great. My cat has never been so happy and at ease at a vet appointment before, when they brought her back in her carrier she was so chill and she was definitely nervous coming in. The vet herself is so awesome and explained everything in a simple and easy to understand way. They did not try to "upsell" me on a bunch of questionably necessary tests/procedures, which I really appreciated. They treated my cat and I with so much respect and straight away got to determining what's wrong and how to fix it. I would highly recommend this vet and I look forward to bringing my other pets here for care in the future.

I took my dog to Village Vet for years but I always felt like they were really expensive, and I was right. One time I was quoted almost $700 for a dental cleaning. The care that they provided for my dog was pretty good. He never had any illnesses, so it was just vaccines and preventive care. I stopped going there after the super high dental cleaning quote.

My work schedule can be a inconsistent and PD walks has been so helpful and flexible when we need it. Not to mention, Coach loooooves her and is so tired after a long play day. She sends updates when they are en route to and from my house and always lets me know when he is safe and sound at home. She also sends pictures and videos from his day, so I know he is taken care of and loved. They have been the best to work with, and I would recommend to anyone! They are THE place to trust with your fur baby. Update- we've been using pdwalks for some time now, and has continued to be the best daycare option for Coach. He comes home so tired, and he always has the best time- I can always tell by the pictures I get throughout the day. Wouldn't change a thing! 3/6/2020

We brought our pup to her so she could evaluate what was going on, and when he came home, she walked us through a step by step process that allowed him to be confident being home alone again. I was seriously concerned that we wouldn't be able to leave him alone ever again, but Elena knew what to do, and encouraged us to patiently stick with the program. Now we can leave him at home and he's relaxed and happy. The vet could only recommend that we drug him. Elena really knows dogs and she is excellent at giving them a voice. We are so grateful. Thank you, Elena!

I wanted to find somewhere close and had same day availability since our usual groomer was booked…read moreup so I called them. Well, that was a GRAVE mistake and I see why they were so happy to get me in asap. First of all, the girl that answered the phone gave me some pricing "based on weight" which I totally understand. I then ask her about the discounts they showed online and she started stuttering as if she didn't really want to give it to me. Her response was "oh um yes, if you were a first time customer then i guess we would give you 10%". You knew I clearly was but moving along. I told them I wanted teddy bear cuts for my 2 mini poodles. She said they might have some matting charges and I said that's fine. I took them up there, the groomer barely examined them or talked to me before proceeding to take my dogs in the back to get started. 5 hours later, I pick them up and my dogs look NOTHING like what I asked for. I wanted to maintain length but they chopped off half on both of their bodies. I wanted a rounded teddy bear face and they SHAVED their faces. I have NEVER went to a groomer where they did something without calling me. If you're not able to do what I asked then I should have been at least notified by phone. NOT when I'm picking them up and the damage is done. On top of that, the ENTIRE cut on BOTH dogs were choppy! Not to mention they charged me $250 WITH the 10% discount. The girl also tried to charge me extra for trimming of the paws and ears. I asked isn't that included in the full groom? She said "oh yeah, let me take that off". THE WORST part?! I asked why the extra $80? She said it was because they had to detangle for an extra 15 minutes. Yes. 15 minutes. I will post the receipt. Lastly, for this price you would think that they would put a bandana or a bow on them. NOPE. They will never touch my dogs again. They do not care about the dogs and you can tell they are here just for the money. I'm sorry but I'm leaving my babies with you, I have to trust that you actually care. I will be posting pics of them AFTER a groom at Happy Snoutz on Sept 16, 2025 and also pictures from today. PLEASE do not waste your money or think because it's in River Oaks that they are quality.
