Juan is an EXCEPTIONAL server. The food was delicious - just the perfect amount of flavor! Will definitely be returning!

Great ambiance and music. Food is flavorful. Portions are small. Service lacks . Didn't get greeted at the door. When I complained about the coffee I was basically told I was wrong. If you are here for drinks they are more attentive. Needs better management.

I've had this one saved for a long time and seeing it in person - so beautiful! I made a reservation for 12:30pm for brunch. When we got there, we were greeted by the host and seated on the swinging chairs and I immediately wanted another table. Don't get me wrong, the swinging chairs were a nice touch to the already beautiful aesthetic of the place but they weren't comfortable and far from the table. When we were at the new table, the chair was cute but uncomfortable. We got the Guayaba Punch mocktail and started out with an appetizer Pork Belly Barriguita to share. It was delicious and I loved the stone plates they came in. We also had Chicken and Waffles, Super Nachos and a side of Tostones - everything was delicious. The waffles weren't hard and chicken was well seasoned. The nachos were so good, it was my favorite. Tostones were really good too, a bit salty but it was just sprinkled in salt so not too bad. The music was so so good. It had my sister and I dancing in our seats. The DJ was really good and played every type of music which I really enjoyed. My sister and I have already made plans to come back here when there's belly dancing. Honestly I wouldn't mind! :)

Fun place. In a shopping mall next to Puerta Vallarta with free parking so that was a bonus. Great spicy Mezcal marg. Our waiter didn't speak the best English as my friend was asking him questions so another waitress helped us. They brought out the most amazing dip with the chips. Spicy avocado aioli I want to say. I would probably put in a larger vessel as it was hard to dip your chip in it without breaking in half. Started with the asparagus. Delicious. Didn't get a picture. Then I had the quinoa burrata. Wow. Different. Lots of quinoa! Different kind of salad. Shrimp tacos very different. Not quite sure what the orange stuff was on the bottom but tasty and again...different. Entertainment is cool in here too. Lady walking around dancing. Cool place!

Great selection of tapas and meals (empanadas, toston tacos, burrata quinoa caprese) Love the wide variety of cocktails and they're all super creative! This is a great spot to grab a drink or some food, especially because they're open later than most of the places downtown, which is great! Interior is really nice! A few of the tables have swing chairs you can sit on. Also lots of photo opportunities. Staff is super nice and very friendly!

I came here for brunch with a friend on a Sunday. The restaurant is very cute, but I was not ready for the party. I guess I just didn't expect there to be a DJ and young ladies in club attire so early on a Sunday - I felt aged! I ordered a drink - I can't remember what it was called - and Chicken and Waffles for food. My drink was literally like a dessert - so yummy! My food was good, but not the best I've had. My friend really enjoyed her Avocado Toast. Now that I know what to expect, this is a fun place I would only come back to with a group of girlfriends!

this place was cute! went for galentines and it was decorated with pink and red hearts and such. food was good, i got the empanadas which were yummy. we got a mango margarita tower for the table and whew, be careful not to drink half of it or you'll be hurtin lmao. my friends got cute valentines drinks that i didn't get a pic of, but they both tasted good! overall a good experience, the belly dancing was interesting, the music was very loud during it but it was fun!

The food was so good and flavorful the service our waitress was a 10/10 so nice and attentive and gave us her recommendations. Ambiance so Instagram worthy lots of places to take pictures and it was a nice crowd. Only complaint was the restaurant is located in a strip mall/plaza I feel like it doesn't belong there because it's so nice! Nevertheless I would definitely go back!

We wanted to go out for dinner and wanted to try a new place and we chose to go to MIA. It's off the beaten path from the Main Street area. The place is super cute and has all the feels for IG pictures. Reservations are a must. You can come in and wait for the bar area, it's first come first serve. The food has a Peruvian style touch. The drinks were very strong so you definitely get your monies worth. We ordered the empanada and shrimp tacos. The empanada was good and had nice sauce with it. The tacos I felt were ok. My husband and I prefer the rice dish and it reminded me so much of chaufa. I would come again but for a girls night out because it's so cute for pictures.

If you love The Place to Be you're gonna love Mia. Everything is extremely "Instagramable" from the decor, the seating, to the food - it's all fun and photogenic. And yet somehow it doesn't feel tacky or like it's trying too hard. Be sure to make reservations - online it said no wait but there were no tables available for the rest of the night when we arrived. The host said we could wait for the next available seats at the bar so we did that. Our bar tender was great. Super friendly! But man they were busy. Sometimes it was hard to get her attention when we were ready to order or needed another drink, etc. We arrived during happy hour and the specials were pretty good! Drinks were strong and food was good. The snacks still left us hungry so we ordered the fried rice to share and it did NOT disappoint. Overall I would rate the experience closer to a 3.5. Although I really have no major complaints, I'm also not dying to go back. So because of that, Mia gets a solid 4 from me. PS - a Latin themed restaurant that doesn't offer Mezcal ???

A great new addition to Middletown, CT! The interior is very beautiful and the plating is super unique. Every course is served on stone. The food was delicious - I tried the salmon escondido, skirt steak, lobster tacos and empanadas, and a side of fried rice with my dinner. Everything was flavorful and cooked well. The have a stunning cocktail menu as well. During dinner service they also have live shows - while I was there they had a belly dancing performance.

I loved this place, their food was fantastic and the quality was super consistent; an excellent spot to get together with friends or a date. So much attention to detail was paid, house made dressing, salsa, all ingredients were super fresh, the meats were always cooked excellently, and the staff was friendly. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a while but at some point in the last few years the Little Columbian restaurant became My little Columbian restaurant. My friends and I went there for dinner at the end of October, there was one couple that was leaving the restaurant but we were the only ones there when we first walked in. The vibe of the restaurant has changed because they changed how they decorated the interior of the restaurant. I prefer their older vibe but no big deal. Our waitress was nice and very attentive all night and the staff in general was quite friendly. Here's my issue, the food quality is not as good as it was in the past. And if they are going to charge along the same lines as what they have, always been on the pricier side, then the quality should still be at the same level. There were a bunch of little things that added up. To start, the salad I ordered didn't have the same quality of greens (I think they used a spring mix in the past), there were some small bits of core in the salad. More to my disappointment the Salad dressing was no longer the house dressing they used to make it was Ken's balsamic dressing, which generally tastes like diabetes syrup. Maybe it was an off night for the salad and I could live with that but the lack of the old house dressing was disappointing. Speaking of cutting corners, the chimichuri used to be super fresh and of good quality ingredients. The chimichuri this time around had a lower quality olive oil and the parsley was dried instead of fresh. My friend ordered some empanadas, which were partially burnt and again the slasa wasn't the same quality as they used to make with the empanadas. For an entree, I ordered Bandeja Columbiana. The chicharon was a bit overdone but ok enough. The chorizo was probably the best part but you have to try to mess up chorizo. The maduro was kind of dry and somewhat bland. The chicken was a touch rubbery and the steak was fine; nothing to write home about. As I had mentioned before the food wasn't terrible, it was fine enough but it was not worth the price it cost. Much worse is the fact that the quality in general just isn't the same as it had been prior, maybe they just had an off night but something tells me this is how it is now. It's too bad this restaurant isn't quite what it was; it used to be one of my favorites.

There is a nice bar set up with plenty of dining seating We started off with white wine, sangrias, a mango margarita, and a mango jalapeño, margarita. The drinks had just enough kick to them, and they were all very tasty. The jalapeño mango was my favorite as I like a more spicy and sweet kick. We got chips and salsa and tableside guacamole made right in front of us! The salsa came out, warm, which I wasn't used to, but it was very good. It reminded me of the habichuelas (beans) when you make spanish white rice and beans. There were also fried plantains mixed in with the chips, which was a nice treat. I got the tacos de birria and a side of tostones and others got steak fajitas, a chicken quesadilla, and tostadas de carne. All of the food came out fresh and everything was very good. I personally made a reservation for 7pm and wasn't seated till about 7:30 while waiting in line. The restaurant was fully packed with tables set for 2 and a few bigger tables set for slightly larger parties. There was also live music playing throughout the night. Once we reached the front desk we were offered a "fixed" menu that included an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert for a total of $85 per person with no drinks included for said package. The food was delicious however the wait time between each plate was far too long in addition to this it took 4 attempts to get water served to our table. We decided to cut our meal short and have our remaining entree wrapped up as well as the desserts. Which brings me to my final point. At my previous visit to mamajuana cafe with a full table of 6 each with 5 alcoholic beverages, 5 entrees, and 1 appetizers. The bill was about $420-460 (give or take a bit as it has been a while) with tip included. For our 3 course meal for 2 the bill with tip included was $309.87. Although I would probably still come to the establishment to grab another bite I would recommend refraining from coming on a holiday such as Valentine's Day if you don't want to drop a heavy dime on the food.
