A few reasons why they were so amazing: I was worried and uncomfortable going into my consultation, but those feelings were quickly waived as I felt immediately comfortable with Dr. Cober. I didn't feel judged whatsoever. I felt I was in the right place, with a doctor that had very capable hands. It was recommended that I get a mammogram before my breast reduction. Not required, but recommended. This mammogram resulted in abnormal cells that had to be removed. Dr. Cober was incredibly supportive and referred me to an excellent oncologist, Dr. De Melena, who was able to work hand in hand with Dr. Cober. Without skipping a beat, he pivoted and had Dr. De Melena piggyback my original surgery to remove the bad cells at the same time, minimizing the need for additional worry, panic, planning, or surgery.. This was, without a doubt, life saving. Dr. Cober and his team held my hand through the entire process, and were responsive when questions arose. I sent the team a message on Christmas, and it was Dr. Cober himself who responded. That is above and beyond excellent service. The results of my mommy-overhaul were better than I could have ever imagined. I am no longer in chronic pain, I have healthy breasts, and my abdominal muscles work appropriately. I am sincerely grateful for Tanasbourne Plastic Surgery. They, as a team, have changed my life tremendously. Dr. Cober is without question an amazing surgeon.

I've never had any botox, filler, or any cosmetic surgeries done, but I was interested in potentially getting a Radiesse injection to a superficial acne scar on my chin. This place is very professional and in a great location. From the very beginning, I was impressed with being able to get a consultation appointment within a few days as a new client. I was given two options: $200 consultation with Dr. Burgess or complimentary with a nurse. I chose a complimentary consultation with a nurse. The office is very neat, clean, offers a good selection of reputable skincare lines, and Dr. Burgess's magazine in the lobby. And prior to my appointment, paperwork was done online to streamline the appointment process. They're very efficient. My nurse was Sarah, who was very polite and knowledgeable. We talked about my health history, my skin concerns, and she took photos of my face for their files. She was thorough throughout the process. After examining my scar, she determined that my scar was superficial and Radiesse would do more harm than any improvement. She recommended EZ gel, which is a more natural injection with less risk of lumps/bumps since it comprises of my own blood. I really liked her suggestion. She said that EZ gel is best done in a series, so I would start with 3 spaced 4-6 weeks. Each injection is $1000. Sarah worked with stroke patients before working at this practice. She has a lot of experience with EZ gel, so I felt comfortable going with her. Financing is available. They accept credit cards, cash, HSA, and a Care Credit. You can apply for this credit card and set up a payment plan with that. I spoke with Maya also, and while she answered any further questions I had, I just didn't feel encouraged to book my injection appointment after speaking with her. In fact, another plastic surgeon in the area declined to take my case because it was too complicated. Dr. Burgess has incredible skill in reconstructive surgery, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I appreciated that she was straight forward and was honest with me. She explained exactly what needed to be done to achieve the best long-term outcome, not just what I wanted to hear. During another consultation elsewhere, I was repeatedly asked what I wanted and was told, "We can try it and see how it goes." That wasn't the guidance I needed. I wanted an experienced surgeon to tell me the best approach to prevent this from happening again. I'm so grateful that I trusted Dr. Burgess. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my perception of the practice. After receiving lip filler in March, I instantly developed a bubble in my lip that did not resolve on its own. I returned to have it dissolved, then had to come back again for the filler to be redone. After allowing appropriate healing time, one side of my lip was noticeably larger/different in shape, so I returned again to have it corrected. At my fourth appointment, I was told the best option was to dissolve all of the filler and start over. Throughout this entire process, I was patient, understanding, and followed their recommendations. I never demanded a refund or became upset with the staff. After four appointments and the last round of dissolving leaving me swollen and bruised for nearly a week, I simply decided I did not want to go through the process again. I asked if the amount I had paid for filler could be credited toward future Botox instead. I was told that was no problem and that a credit would be placed on my account. Months later, I called to schedule my Botox and specifically confirmed that the credit was on my account. I was told the notes were there and that it would be taken care of. Then, on the day of my appointment, I received a text telling me my appointment was cancelled and that they felt I should seek treatment elsewhere because my expectations were not aligned with their practice. That part was incredibly disappointing. At no point was I told that my expectations were unrealistic or that what I wanted was not achievable. I was simply trying to correct the results of a treatment that had not gone as planned and I was the one who repeatedly returned for dissolving and adjustments. I appreciate that they ultimately decided to refund the filler, but that was never what I was asking for. I wanted to continue being a client and use the money toward Botox, as I had been told I could. Instead, I was essentially dismissed as a client after years of loyalty. The filler result itself was disappointing, but what upsets me most is how this situation was handled. I believe there was an opportunity to make a longtime client feel heard and valued and unfortunately that is not how I left this experience feeling. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
