I received a mini day of beauty as a gift from my husband, he had been told to go to this spa by a friend who is a fan. The staff was very courteous, and I was offered all kinds of perks (drinks, food, hot neck wrap) during my almost 3 hour visit. The decor and atmosphere is top notch, great for group girl spa days or your own relaxation. They also cater to men, which is nice to see. I got a half hour massage, facial, brows (it came with a blow dry but they allowed me to exchange for brows), pedicure and manicure. Each person I worked with ranged in experience and personality, they were all professional and courteous. They also loved working there, which I find is very telling of the owner's talents, to have someone passionate at the helm who wins the affection/dedication of their employees is refreshing. The manicure was the only part that didn't hold up, it was chipping within the hour and within 2 days I had to take it off. If you were going to an event of some sort it would have been fine, but I picked an odd nail polish color and couldn't touch it up. I wished at the time they offered to sell me the nail polish they used, that would have come in handy for touch ups. I would definitely recommend trying Mia Bella out. I intend to give them repeat business as well as recommend the spa to others. read more

TERRIBLE MANICURE...NOT WORTH THE MONEY I went in for a shellac manicure and pedicure. $80 FOR A CRAPPY JOB. My pedicure my cuticles are still ragged and look terrible. My manicure my cuticles are ragged, the polish is uneven and clumpy. Not to mention it took almost two hours to complete. My 7 year old niece could have done a better job. I will stick to my normal salon that charges me $45 for a shellac manicure and a sport pedicure and does a 200 times better job than this place. They took me on short notice, and the salon was huge and beautiful, but I got a gel manicure that was a terrible job! I didn't have the time to tell them to fix it, so I left it. I posted a picture on my Instagram story and had like 10 people send me messages saying they would have thrown a fit and made them redo it or not have paid for what I got! I went in to get blonde Balayage and I left with orange hair and the hair dresser told me that I shouldn't have expected "Elsa blonde" the first time. I've gotten balayage done so many times before as well as other hair colors and I've never had a problem. About a month in advance, I booked a noon manicure appointment for me, my 7-year-old step-daughter, and my cousin in preparation for my wedding the next day. When we checked in on the day, they took my child back, and said they'd be with me and my cousin shortly. After 15 minutes, I asked when they would come for us, and was told that they booked the child at 12pm, me at 12:15pm, and my cousin at 12:30pm. I explained that I booked the appointment for all three of us at the same time, because we were doing it together, and after a few minutes of moving around appointments, they were able to bump my cousin up to 12:15pm as well. So at least they were helpful with that, though by the time we got in there, the kid's manicure was done, so she had to sit around for another 30+ minutes bored the entire time. The manicurist who worked on my hands was very nice, but it seemed as though she was very new to her job. My nails weren't cleaned up very well, but also between the french tips and the clear-ish polish, I ended up with about 5 coats of polish on my nails. Even though I was told that the vinyl polish hardened after time, and would last at least a week, it was easily nicked and damaged the same day (so they didn't look too great during my wedding the next day), and peeled off in one shot two days later. One big disappointment was that there was nobody available to do nail designs, but that might have been my fault for assuming that all salons with manicurists would be able to provide that service. The people were nice, which is why the place gets two stars. I plan to try out other places in the area before giving Mia Bella a second chance (for nails, anyway). read more

I recently got married in the area, and was looking for a salon to get our hair, nails and makeup done on the day of the wedding. Since I am not from the Leominster area we got a referral to Mia Bella from our hotel. From the moment we walked in and saw the Aveda products, to our initial discussion about reserving the morning of the wedding, the ladies at Mia Bella were helpful, knowledgeable and incredibly easy to work with. The ten of us spent the morning of the wedding getting pampered and were able to bring in bagels and mimosas! Every single person in our group was extremely pleased with the services we received. My updo lasted all night long - and probably could have lasted all weekend! The makeup they did for us was wonderful - none of that overdone, clown-like feeling you sometimes get when you get your makeup done. I wanted so badly to love this place- I went off of a recommendation to have my and my mothers hair done on my wedding day and made an appointment for 2 people. I had a specific look in mind; old hollywood finger waves (and provided a few photos). Walking in, the place is beautiful and the people were friendly. I was with my stylist while my mom waited in the chair next to me. She took about an hour curling and pinning my hair, and told me to move over a chair and wait while she did my moms so mine could set. She was almost done with my moms when her next clients came in and were waiting. She left my moms hair half done, and another woman (seemingly more experienced) stepped in to finish it. As she was finishing my moms, her own clients walked in and she was about to have me leave with my hair still pinned up in bobby pins and unfinished because she had her own clients; meanwhile my original stylist was nowhere to be found. When the new stylist was convinced to finish it, she took the pins out and it literally laid flat and straight. She took about 10 minutes to quickly loosely curl it and spray it to death with hairspray and sent me on my way. I left for my WEDDING with my hair nothing like I wanted it, and felt rushed out and upset. They did not allocate enough time for either of our appointments, and should have told me from the beginning if they couldn't do they style I asked for. Highly disappointed. read more

I had an awful experience here. I went in for a simple cut and wash. They pushed their salon products on me and we're constantly trying to sell. My hair wash washed without care in cold water and while my hair was being cut, the "stylist" was constantly hitting me in the face with my hair. It was the worst salon experience I have ever had. I got to Mia Bella for all of my services. I get my nails done, pink and white fills, and the price is great and no drill! My nails are so much healthier. I get my hair cut and colored and have never been unhappy with the results. I also bring my kids to Mia Bella for their haircuts. My son is autistic and it takes a gentle touch and kindness when dealing with him and the folks who have cut his hair have been awesome. My daughter always feels special and grow up after her visits. They made us comfortable as soon as we got in by offering us coffee and tea while I waited (I was early for my appointment). My stylist did a great job on my hair. She introduced me to some products and gave me some samples but did make me feel any pressure to purchase. My mom really liked the manicurist who also did her eye brows. While she was waiting for me and getting her nails done, she interacted with other stylists who gave her tips for growing out her hair. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience at this salon. I definitely will not be returning. I had a full foil done by Kaitlyn. I wasn't to happy with the outcome. Called the salon. Asked for another hair dresser to fix my hair. The new hair dresser was named Jessica. As soon as I got there the first thing she said was "I only have an hour today so I won't be able to do as much". Like seriously? I'm not a confrontational person so I just let it go by. She adds some more foils on missed spots and tones my hair. I waited in the washing area during the toning process. It felt like I was on time out. I guess this is how they treat their customers when their customers isn't happy with their service. Rather than making it better, they punish you for it. The toning process seemed like it did make it a tiny bit better but honestly I feel like it was such a waste of money. This was my first time at this salon and will be my last. While I was waiting during the toning process in the back (next to their employee room) all I hear are these girls talking about their clients and laughing. So unprofessional. MIA BELLA RUINED MY HAIR! I went in for a cut and color. I sent a picture to the stylist, Amanda, the day before. It was a DISASTER!! I sat for 3 hours in a salon with an amateur stylist. My hair came out nothing like I wanted. I kept telling her I specifically didn't want red tones in my hair, but that's what I got. She couldn't bleach my hair enough to make lighten the tips, but she never said that it would be difficult with my type of hair. I spent $200 (with a good tip) for what? A mediocre hair cut, and my hair fried from dying it over and over again. PLUS I had to go back a week later to get it corrected. I was so upset, I just died it black. The managers never said something, never offered me a discount or even an apology. The salon looks nice but I'd rather go to a hole in the wall as long as my hair came out the way I want. This was about a couple months ago and my hair is visibly more brittle and frizzy and dry and awful from this experience. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN! read more

Referred my daughter who recently moved back home to Mia Bella for root touch up. She has hair exertions, so when making the appointment she let them know she had them as well as being very specific about what she was seeking color wise. Roots are yellowed and extensions which were recently tightened are falling out. She called to speak to both the manager and owner who continued to place blame on my daughter and refused to offer any help. No offer to have the extensions that fell out replaced and corrected or to fix the color. I' m a client and now will need to find anew place to go as the treatment my daughter received was highly unprofessional and degrading. I miss this salon so much! We moved to Philly and the Aveda salons here charge twice what Mia Bella charged. I cannot use any other hair color besides Aveda hair color. My stylist was Christina for years, and she did a great job and really was highly skilled at her craft. The salon itself is beautiful. The staff were always very friendly and professional. The Aveda products are worth the extra money. I would say this salon is more expensive than others in the Leominster area, but it is much less expensive than going into Boston. read more
