I DON'T EVEN LIKE SPANISH CUISINE BUT.... I almost don't want to review this place because when you try it once, you will definitely tell everybody you know about it! I can see this place getting so busy that I will have to stand in a line to eat here. My brother's friend told him about this gem, then came here with my husband, then they brought me. (I ended up making him bring me 2 days in a row) They were so surprised I actually finished everything I ordered!

    Carne Asada & Barbacoa.

What day is it? Had some of the best carne asada & barbacoa tacos in the area. I knew immediately walking in, I had stepped into the confinement's of a true authentic taco joint. Located in a mini meat market grocery store, this was a super hole in the wall. Being the only non-Hispanic in the establishment, I received countless stares and out of place looks. My presence definitely shook their normalities on this Taco Tuesday. As with any taqueria that I'm scouting for my first time I ordered my usual carne asada tacos. Heard the barbacoa was it here, so I got two of those as well. Man, these tacos were smacking good. The meat here is the big show. Very good portions in each taco and I really enjoyed the seasoned lamb meat in the barbacoa tacos. There was so much flavor packed in these, I did not have to sauce anything up. Just a light touch squeeze of the limes over the top and you're good to go. The homemade tortillas were great and weren't too thin, nor too thick. Tortillas are key in a taco and they came out just right with a good medium balance of flour, warmed and lightly grilled. Now, to really take this meal to another dimension, a must order beverage is the Horchata. Could be up for debate on top Horchatas I've ever encountered. I helplessly downed my first cup before the tacos were ready and required a refill. Vet move: Always ask for no ice so it doesn't water the taste down and you'll also gain more volume since the cubes of ice aren't filling the capacity of the cup. This drink from the heavens is made in house using water, milk, rice, cinnamon, sugar, and this secret powder stuff. Possible it's what was used in MJ's secret stuff water bottle in Space Jam?

While the menu is more selective I found everything to be far better in taste and how it is cooked! Today we shared the Mediterranean appetizer with hummus and tzatziki. Hummus is smooth and have a tahini forward flavor. My spouse and I both liked it. Tzatziki is exceptional. It is one of my favorite sauces in the world and this is great. Pita was a wonderful texture and taste wise. I ordered the chicken plate. It came out sizzling hot like fajitas traditionally do. The chicken was temperature right out of the oven, juicy and an excellent texture. Couscous on the side was beautifully cooked and had a nice touch of spice to it. The other metal bowl on my platter had a greek village style salad with diced cucumbers, diced red onions and cut in half mini tomatoes. Spouse had a Turkish pizza. The seasoning had a nice spice and kick to it. He enjoyed his meal. Spouse ordered 2 beers on draft. One of the beers was one he had before not on draft and was thrilled to try it on draft as he liked it way more. He was happy with their beer on draft selection. When deciding whether to choose the birthday or neapolitan cake we asked the gentleman at the register which he thought was better or more special. He recommended Neapolitan. It was absolutely perfect and delicious! I have never had a cake quite like it. Would totally choose it again! Very happy with the food, quality, temperature, texture and juiciness. All far surpasses it previously. Will return very soon. FYI they can only take cash tips so bring some cash. Matt got the beef nachos - only feedback was that all the toppings were on top so the bottom chips had nothing. The kids shared the chicken tenders and Mexican rice. I had the chicken platter with couscous and salad. Wow, that chicken was so juicy and moist. The hot lemon on top made the flavors pop. All this and 2 drinks came to $52. Very good. Tons of tables and seating inside. Tons of parking available.

Dude, this is how a burrito should taste…read more First things first, this is what our order was: - Me, Pastor Burrito - My wife, California Burrito - My son, Chori Pollo Burrito - My daughter, Steak Nachos Holy wow. So first, my burrito... I'm so used to burritos ultimately tasting the same no matter which one I choose, just different meats really. But this one, well, whatever that pork was marinated in just gave the whole burrito a unique flavor and made it taste unlike any burrito I've had before. If I had one complaint about mine? More pineapple. Each bite that I had with pineapple in it was a perfect sweet and savory contrast and I wanted more of that. The California Burrito was enjoyed by my wife and I got to try it as well - completely different flavor from my burrito, which is the way it should be. I'm ashamed to admit that I had yet to have a proper Cali burrito until today and fries belong in a burrito. My son enjoyed the Chori Pollo, though we're discovering more and more that he...just doesn't really like tortillas. That said, he loved the filling. Methinks next time, we go for the Black Bean Bowl, which is essentially the same thing, sans tortilla. Then my daughter... When those Steak Nachos came out, I thought to myself, "There's no way in hell she finishes these..." and this was true, because they were huge and she is small. But just barely true. Only a small amount came home with us and she finished it up as a snack later in the day. When we were eating, she said could almost cry because it was so good. If you look at one of my other reviews, this is apparently my daughter's indicator that something is REALLY GOOD to her. I tasted some too and she's not wrong, these were delicious - the steak, the cheese, the guac, it just all worked in tandem beautifully. I'm guessing this is a family-run business just based on the staff I saw and they just knocked it out of the park with each item we had. Can't wait to try some more the next time we're in Mooresville. Maybe street tacos? Birria tacos? Or even some of those amazing-sounding hot dogs (yes, bacon wrapped hot dogs at a Mexi-Cali joint!)? You want a legit burrito? Come here. No disappointments.

This doesn't make sense; Doordash charges a maximum of 6% for pickup orders, and we ordered for pickup. I initially questioned their pricing because they charge almost $6 on Doordash for a 3.5oz cup of guacamole, and iirc around $4.30 after tax in restaurant. It was over a dollar upcharge. When questioned he said that it was because of the pricing of the 'best,' avocados (I work at a grocery store; our current cost for one avocado is $0.60, so I find that incredibly unlikely). The man was stammering at the end of the interaction, which further solidified for me that he was being dishonest. All that to say, you shouldn't support a business who is dishonest about the way they conduct their business, especially when they do so in an economy where people are struggling generally; my recommendation is to give your money to a place that doesn't lie to their customers.
