We stopped in here on the way home from Napa and it was everything that we wanted and more! I got a guava margarita and it was so so yummy! They even brought me a little cup full of the extra margarita that they had made which I have never had done before! The drink was strong but that's exactly what I was looking for(: I got a Chile relleno plate and it was so good. The Chile relleno was so cheesy and delicious and the salad they gave on the side was seasoned well. The beans and rice were perfect as well. Very nice spot and great outdoor heated patio. Fast friendly service! I wanted to eat a entree there but BF wanted to try a different place, so we ordered a appetizer and drinks. The quesadilla was very good , the spicy margarita was good and spicy, but I would recommend not putting tiny pieces of jalapeños in the drink, kept clogging my straw and I don't really want to be swallowing the tiny pieces as I'm drinking. I love all their locations and next time will order main meal to try. read more

The food was ok. We had one vegan and 4 vegetarians and it was really hard to find something that worked for us. It took a while to come out (35ish minutes) on a Sunday early lunch time order. I love this restaurant. Great food, reasonably priced and served quickly by a friendly and courteous staff. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the ambience is not special. Very impressed with the quality of food and drinks here. It was a pretty busy night but we felt well served. Everything we put in our mouths was like "oh yeah, this is good!". My next trip up this way will definitely include a stop at Mi Ranchito. Once thing the restaurant should consider is ventilation to keep the kitchen smoke away from the dining room. read more

I stopped for some to go food tonight. I ordered a carne asta super burrito with refried beans and no guacamole. I got home and had to eat a carnitas super burrito with whole beans, guacamole and I didn't see any sign of sour cream. The food was good I suppose but not being what I had wanted the experience was not all that great. Despite my unfortunate food mix up the staff was friendly and the other patrons seem to be enjoying themselves. I'll have to give it another try one day and see if it was a one off. read more

Mediocre. Dried out, over-microwaved chile relleno. Inedible. Tamale was unremarkable, the masa was flavorless. Refried beans way over salted. Mexican rice was flavored with dry mix from a package. Brought me a al pastor enchilada to make up for the ruined chile relleno. Enchilada was also microwaved to death. Meat nuggets were hard as rocks. Gloppy cheddar cheese on top was rubber. (Note to owner: Take the microwave out of the kitchen and sell it on Craigslist). Horchata drink was barely passable. No cinnamon flavor. Portion size was tiny given that the 1 pint size mason jar for a glass was 95% full of ice. I see a lot of 4 / 5 star reviews by other Yelpers. Your meals were much better than mine. Service folks are delightful. Smiling and friendly. The way too loud oompa-oompa music is annoying. I suggest that the owners dial up some melodious classical Mexican vocal trios like: Los tres ases, los diamantes, los tres reales. Would lend the dining room a calmer, more refined ambience. I've eaten here before and knew what I'd have, their cold shrimp bowl with cut up avocado and a cold jicama drink would suit me well. The chips and salsa came out quickly and the waiter with his weird blue cat eyes tended to my request promptly. Due to prices for shrimp they were a bit chintzy on the shrimp but the tiny squares of avocado made up for the shrimp. It was garnished with two slices of cucumber dipped in powdered chili. Just moved to the area and saw how busy the restaurant was, thought it would be good. I was wrong. I usually keep it simple when visiting a place for the first time. Order the nachos. The chips were stale and there were chunks of meat that were so tough they could not be eaten. Picture below. I am all about supporting local businesses. Pretty good! We were in the area for a football game and decided not to cook dinner. I just googled Mexican food near me and this place popped up. I got 2 fish tacos and 2 steak tacos. The fish were good but just ok. Idk if I liked the batter they used for them and wasn't expecting flour tortillas. The steak ones were delicious! The salsa on it was too spicy for me but it was so good you just wanted more. Next time I'll ask for green salsa on the side. My son got nachos that he enjoyed and my daughter and husband got a burrito that they really liked! It was full of meat. We will come back! This must be a race thing...and I really hate it. Came here on a Tuesday evening with my daughter and bf and the waiter directed us to sit at the corner table. After sitting there for about 5 minutes, a lady came over and started speaking Spanish to me. After she realized I don't understand a word she was saying, she got irritated and said that we had to move tables. I asked why and she said a party of 7 has reserved the table. Ok, no problem at all. After about another 5-10 minutes, a group of 3 Caucasians were seated at the EXACT SAME table where she told me was reserved for 7 people...like really?! Then I started to look around and saw everyone had a bigger bowl of chips than us, even the dude who was eating alone! At that time, I knew she had something against us and it must be race. We were the only Asians there. Then she decided to drop a to-go box on our table when we weren't even finished with the food. We ordered childrens burritos and my girls love to eat. They did not like the taste. Alpastor was sweet tasting different from the authentic alpastor taste. Food was not authentic at all I did feel I was eating everything out of a can. Salsa had to be make partly out of a can. The service was not fast enough. My family members receive their food first and I received mine last. Almost all of my family members were finished with their food when my food arrived for me. Made a quick stop in Mi Ranchito today. I'm not going to beat around d the Bush on this one, the taco trucks on Sebastopol Rd are way better. I used to eat at the Mi Ranchito Cotati location often, and then something changed. Quality dramatically dropped. I was in a hurry to get to a doctors appt next door at Sutter. Today, they were speedy in that department. I ordered chicken Lettuce wraps with a side of rice. Except, when I got to Sutter and had my lunch, I noticed there was more chicken than wrap. There was an abundance of meat. After finding chunks and chunks of chicken thigh fat that overwhelmingly taste of sugar. I ate one wrap and threw the other 2 away. I took 4 bites of my side of rice and threw the rest away. It was just waaaaaay too salty. I just couldn't hang. Total lunch wasted. It just didnt please my palate. Came in on a weekday evening and the place was pretty busy (which is great to see for a business so close to the wildfire ravaged parts of the region). We were seated relatively quickly and the service was similarly speedy. Ordered a couple traditional dishes (including the pictures beef barbacoa), an horchata, and a couple margaritas for the lady. All was on point, we'll-cooked and seasoned, and, quite frankly, hit the spot after a long workday that was soon followed by a cultural event at the LBC. I used to love this place and go all the time with family, I went for the first time in a couple years yesterday since I was in the area and ordered a super burrito and received a rice bean and cheese burrito with no meat no sour cream no guac. When I asked she said it was in there and I was lying. My mom ordered the fajitas and had no veggies on her plate and asked for extra tortillas (since it only came with 2 for such a big serving) and they tried to charge extra. We also were told to sit where ever we wanted and we sat at a corner table for 4 since the whole restaurant was empty and was told to move and we were the only ones in the restaurant the whole time, and our food didn't even fit on our tiny table. Really disappointing definitely do not recommend, there are way better mexican restaurants in the area! read more

Good food... the chips and salsa are the best in the area in my opinion. I've been here 3 times now. The only time it was bad was when I had poor service... a man in his late 20s with braces. Having worked as a waiter I am usually extra patient with them. This guy didn't refill water the entire meal or even check in to ask how the food was after it was delivered. That's bad service dude. 2 times I had ladies waiting tables and things were great. A waiter who can make a customer feel like he isn't liked or appreciated brought this review down to 3 stars. I still tipped the guy but not my usual 20 to 25%. Far as the food... the carnitas have been my favorite and their taco salad was also really good. Please give that waiter some proper training or the days off he needs to appreciate having a job. Worth the stop imo. read more

Ok 4 Stars because once again when it comes to Mexican food I'm the worst credic. We came here after my daughter suggested it, well and to my surprise it was quite amazing for this area. I'd have to say that the random places (when or if I chose to get Hispanic food this spot is now on the list.) Considering it's Saturday late night for dinner, table of 4 we were seated promptly! Tables are a tights squeeze but as we order more people were starting to the leave feeling less crowded! Let's face it sometimes it's nice to breath and not hear everyone conversations while Trying to enjoy dinner right? Anyways I started with a mangolada - a Delicious mango smoothie w wine! Umm yes please! My daughter ordered the spicy shrimp (Cameronas de Diablo's) and my husband requested the same but made with chicken they totally didn't mind this request! My daughters boyfriend went with the two plate combo, enchilada and a chil reallano (let me tell you these plates not only looked amazing but had amazing flavor) I went with the fajitas mix! Not just your basic grilled combo of meat. This mix was seasoned to enjoyment! The staff was so attentive, even though they were slammed with guests! Customer service and good food together???? Oscar was so very nice and helpful. He has such a nice personality and sense of humor. . I appreciated the Vegan options but wish they would add some more. Not all people can eat cheese, dairy or animal products. Dairy free sour cream, dairy free cheese and beans or rice made without lard or fish or chicken broth would be very much appreciated. Please add somemyummymdesserts. It's always nice to have something sweet after a nice meal. I had the basic burrito and substituted it with the cilantro rice and Avocado. Just a side note, I don't eat meat and meat comes with it but substituted it out with Avocado. I feel that since I did not have the meat and replaced it with the Avocado, I should not have been charged extra but that is not a "meal breaker!" .
