My absolute favorite Mexican food in the area, service is always great! And they have killer drinks I highly recommend!

Their fried ice cream is to die for and their strawberry daiquiris are truly amazing! Best sit-down restaurant in Lowell.

I probably won't go back. I called in my order from the parking lot. I was told that the food would be ready in 10-15 min. I waited 15 min and went in to get my food. When I walked in, the lady asked if she could help me. I said that I was picking up a call in order. She told me to to to the bar. That's where I was headed. I have been picked up food as well as dined in many times. I stood at the bar as another gentlemen was being helped. After he placed his order he moved to the side when he saw me standing there. I moved right to the spot by where they answer the phones, which is where I usually get my food. The young lady answering the phone and standing right in front of me never acknowledged me. I figured that she would help me when she wasn't busy. She got off the phone and walked past and went back and forth to the other side as I stood RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BAR. She never acknowledged me or helped me. I stood there for over five minutes. A lady came in and a man right behind her. They were of a different race than myself. She immediately went to the lady (who was behind me) and asked if she had a call in order. She said yes. She went to the man and asked him. He said yes. I left. I had on regular clothes today. The last time I went in for a pick up order, I looked a little rough because I had been doing some work. They treated me a little different than before and looked at me funny. I left a nice too so that they would know that I wasn't someone off the street. I like the food, but I can't deal with this. read more

I was very disappointed in the food. The service was subpar as they weren't busy. The food wasn't spectacular at all. I've had worse but I've also had a lot better Mexican food than this. I went with people from work and our orders came out all wrong. It's exactly what we ordered just didn't add/subtract what we wanted for it. I will be completely satisfied if I never eat here again. Second time coming to this restaurant, the first time it was good but this time it was horrible, I use to like their shrimp cocktail it was good now is just horrible is more spicy and you can hardly taste the tomatoe sauce, the shrimp is cut to small pieces it gets lost with the avocado and everything you put in it. The waiter who was taking care of my table and 2 more total fail he couldn't multitask couldn't take others people order right and he never checked on us not even once he did to the other tables he had but didn't bother with us. The place is dirty and you got people just walking around bullshitting, this place really went down the hill. If you want to get real mexican food don't go here service is bad and the food is not what it use to be. If u have the option to go to another mexican restaurant I suggest you go for it and this is an advice from a full blooded mexican person. read more

This restaurant is in my hometown. I love it and we stop often when we are back open so I can get my fix. It's a bit dark since they moved to the old Dante's location. But other than that everything here is wonderful. read more

I have been here a few times. Being that I am from a large city, I thought the food SUCKED! I am used to good Mexican food. From areas with large amounts of Mexicans living there. There are very few Mexicans living in that hick town. So don't expect good Mexican food. We waited about 20 min. For a table 15 min. For water. 10 min to order. And 20 to get our food. I was so frustrated after that, I would never go back. Not for that nasty food. That is about all I can say. DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME! read more

Mi Ranchito is always a hit or miss for me. I order the same food items but sometimes the tacos come out soggy or the plate isn't hot, etc. However the guacamole is always on point. If I have the time I would go to El Salto, El Taco Real, or La Caretta for a better meal! read more

Just had lunch there today as it was highly recommended... Mistake !!!! Chips were thick & tough as shingles, the salsa was bland, had no flavor... and none of the food had any trace of seasoning... Rice had a faint burnt taste, beans were bland as bland can be. The chimichanga I had was beef, I expected beef but was given hamburger, ( guess that qualifies as beef, but certainly not what I was expecting ) which also tasted like it had no seasoning what so ever... All in all, if you gave this establishment a high rating, you had to have the biggest case of munchies ever known to man if you thought the food was good... Mexican cuisine is my favorite type of food, and have eaten it all over the country. This is the worst by a long shot. Will not be going back, if I want that caliber of food I would hit the gas station cooler for a textured vegetable burrito... What a disappointment !!!!! read more

I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count absolutely love it for authentic-ish Mexican food the chips and salsa are always great you get alot of food for the money and the chimi chonga aculpulco or however it's spelled is a little bit expensive but extremely worth the price I've had it multiple times and can't get enough of it just had it again recently and still loving it I saw someone else reviewed that it changed but nope still amazing! The food here is great. My only problem is the menu on this site is supposedly NOT their menu!! I brought my phone in when I picked up an order, expecting to pay the price on this menu and I was informed they do not have an online menu. They said there are other places with the same name, but when I showed them that at the top of this menu it had THEIR phone number, they just said sorry. Don't quite understand why another restaurant would put their menu with the wrong number. I could literally eat here every day. We have been eating here since 1990 and I can honestly say we have never gotten a bad meal or had bad service. I recommend this place so highly. You really have to try the chicken soup. It is a hidden gem and well worth it. We have tried everything on the menu and still love it. read more

The owner would be well-advised to learn the adage if it ain't broke don't fix it. My wife and I have been going there for well over a year and very much enjoyed their chimichangas Acapulco which used to come with a delicious white seafood base sauce it is now been replaced with you guessed it Liquid Gold nacho cheese when I asked the manager why they changed the recipe she insisted several times that they didn't change the recipe when quite obviously they had. I wish there was a negative star. My family and I went there for dinner, unfortunately we never got to try the food. The service was absolutely horrible. We all had are kids with us and waited for at least 15 minutes until the waiter came to take our order. I forgot to mention this was after the fact I had gone and asked him if he could take our order? Everyone with children knows they get antsy when they're hungry. He finally gets to the table and says, "ma'am I'm sorry but I have other tables too." It's not the fact that he said this it's the tone and arrogance he had. Then we said, "we'll just take our business elsewhere." He once again with arrogance says, "BYE!" Nevertheless I will never go back. It's not my problem he was busy when there was clearly about 3 other servers standing around. Someone else should've taken our order. Maybe they shouldn't over seat one person who clearly can't handle it. read more
