Taco Tuesday? No brainer. And yes. That also means sesos are not on the menu. But a wide variety of street tacos are - 3 for $9 on Tuesdays. But wait, there's more. This great neighborhood spot with a full bar had an excellent happy hour with plenty of food and drink options at a great price - $10 margaritas. Of course my favorite menu item is never on special, but it's super affordable - a fully stacked sope with all the fixings for around $10. Bartenders Ro, Agustin and Ryan are all fun and professional. So glad this all around winner is on my Marin shortlist for easy, fast, delicious Mexican with great vibes galore. read more

The service was outstanding. Our waitress was extremely helpful in helping me decide what to order. She suggested the fajitas and a spicy mango margarita, both recommendations were solid choices. We also ordered guacamole for the table and were disappointed. Overall, our experience was good. I would visit again and try a different entree. read more

Love the ceviche here - great portion and the freshness is unmatched. Everyone at my table was jealous of my order! Appetizer size is enough to share or very filling as a main. Nachos and the burrito bowl were also solid choices. Their carnitas are really flavorful and not dry. read more

Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant is a solid pick for Mexican food when you're shopping at or around Northgate. It's fast-paced, casual, and the staff is really nice and welcoming, which goes a long way. The complimentary chips and salsa were particularly good and set a strong first impression. I ordered a chicken enchilada and a crunchy steak taco with pinto rice and beans. The enchilada was the better of the two--flavorful and satisfying--while the taco shell seemed a little stale and the meat in both dishes was on the dry side. Good, but not standout. My lady had the chicken fajitas, which were tasty, and the accompaniments were solid as well. It was also nice to see the menu recently revamped with options like burrito bowls and tofu, which adds some variety. Overall, it's a dependable place to eat when you're in the area. Not the best Mexican food around, but it definitely gets the job done--and it's a much better choice than the Chipotle a few doors away. read more

There are SO many many mexican places, how do you know which one is good? Well, we stumbled onto Mi Pueblo because it was on the way to where we were going and we are glad we came. First off, they have a full bar, and happy menu, so check that out. I got their macho burrito, which we had to ask what it was first. They said it had everything in it, so we said ok let's try. It ended up being a very Mexican-American burrito, which at first doesn't sound good and authentic, but they use fresh ingredients with all the correct mexican blends, which makes it taste more american but authentic at the same time. It's hard to explain. Imagine a wet burrito but with a bit more onions and cilantro. It was hearty, authentic and delicious. Their chips were also on point. Service was so friendly. read more

It was a Friday evening coming from my mom's house, the traffic home was heavy. I got across the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, I made a decision to get off the freeway and hang out at the Northgate Mall. I was hungry and looking for a place to stop and eat. Mi Pueblo is one of favorite Mexican restaurants in Rohnert Park. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and whole beans. I requested for it to be packed to go, I wanted to dig in a little before my departure with the tortilla chips. This really hit the spot, timing is everything. read more

Mi Pueblo - Chicken Enchilada with whole beans & rice! - Mexican Near Me - San Rafael, California

I'm updating my review from a few years ago. I tried them again after my family said they went there and enjoyed the food. They were right! Generous portions! Huge burritos! We ordered sides of rice and beans one night and they easily fed four. The food is good too. It's not "best Mexican food" good, but it's become my go-to spot in San Rafael. read more

Mi Pueblo= Mi Stupido I ate there last night n had a young waiter wait on me who was apparently " brain dead" n had no common sense. I asked that he bring nuttier for my fajitas but he forgot . I had to have them reheated because they were cold when I got them. The waiter asked me if he could take my plates that I was putting my food in a take home container when I was right in the middle of exchanging it then gave me the wrong plastic top ! Incompetence due to lack of proper training I feel was the culprit!. I asked to speak to the woman mgr n told her n she stated she would speak to him!. It becomes really annoying when ur tired n have to deal with idiots.- I left a small tip ( below what I usually give to express my displeasure! read more

I've been here a few times. It's an "everything" cafe here - bar with TV's for sports (no hard alcohol so they use Korean soju for margaritas), tables inside and out and quick service including takeout. This trip I had their Happy Hour street tacos 3/$7.99 (or close to that). Carnitas were decent, bartender attentive and my friend's burrito was huge! Her complaint was that the carne asada was overpowered by the beans though I had her leftover and they were all right. I also had a side of rice and beans which were full plates too. Maybe a kids order next time? My neighbor's nachos looked pretty fantastic so I'll go that direction next. I've had a "Bowl-ritto" before which was enough for two meals and pretty good. Conclusion? A solid Mexican restaurant, nicer than a taqueria. I'll be back. read more

I like this location the best of all Mi Pueblo restaurants and probably visit a couple times a month. Easy freeway access, lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and most of all the food is consistent. Came in for a no meat tostada which was delicious and satisfying. This is a really great Mexican restaurant. The burritos are my "go to" dishes. My cool savvy co-workers have taken me to lunch there several times. I'm a fan. Alas, I need to try more items on the menu. The carnitas are delicious! There is hope for lunchtime in San Rafael. read more

In all my years living in San Rafael, takeout from Mi Pueblo San Rafael at Northgate Mall has always been AWESOME...FIVE STARS! Every time. Until now. The Po-Keto Bowl (Keto Bowl *Less Carbs) Chili Verde was a BIG disappointment. First, NO Salsa Verde! Second, the lettuce was limp and mushy. The dish itself was soupy and I spooned out several tablespoons of some clear liquid before even trying to eat it. I LOVE Mi Pueblo, wonderful people and great food, but my sincere advice is to please remove this dish from the menu. read more

I ordered the chicken burrito. It was very large filled with chicken, rice and beans. I had requested sour cream but didn't get see it in the burrito. It was covered with red sauce. Everything went well! Tasty food, nice portions, fair pricing! I like it a lot! I will join them again soon!!!

I love everyone who works in the restaurant they're really great, attentive, the food is amazing everyone seems genuinely happy. The problem I have is with the bartender. He's not a real bartender he makes week drinks for the ladies and poured overflow shots for the men. He seems really immature and sometimes slightly intoxicated... Don't need to be an actor just be a bartender read more

Mi Pueblo - Marin is a great spot to fix your cravings for Mexican food! They have a taco Tuesday deal, 3 tacos for $8.99. I absolutely love their pastor tacos. I frequent this location for lunch and they have quick take-out service as well as sit-down. You can order take-out online through their website or over the phone and it usually takes 10-20 minutes for your order to be ready. They have ample indoor seating and a dog friendly outdoor patio as well. They are always busy during lunch and dinner times. The service is always quick, I am able to sit down and eat my lunch in under 30 minutes. The prices are reasonable, the staff are all very friendly, and the food is always delicious. They also have a full bar and serve yummy margaritas! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so baffling that I feel obligated to. I stopped by to pick up a to-go order for a chorizo breakfast burrito and a fountain drink. I paid in full at the front kiosk, then filled my drink while waiting. A server later told me I needed to pay for the drink. I explained that I already had and even offered to show the receipt, but she looked at me like I was trying to get away with something. The whole interaction was awkward and left me feeling unwelcome. I could have overlooked the confusion and poor service if the food made up for it, but it didn't. The burrito was bland, greasy, and completely forgettable. Between the uncomfortable service and disappointing food, I will not be coming back. Too many better options are nearby to waste another meal at Mi Pueblo in San Anselmo. read more

I had a really disappointing experience here. The food itself wasn't the main issue -- it was the way the staff treated customers. From the moment we walked in, the employees were rude and seemed annoyed that we were even there. Simple questions were met with attitude, and it felt like they had no interest in helping or providing decent service. Plenty of other businesses around! read more

You're good food still good service. Your front door can use a regular deep clean. It's disgusting.

Mi Pueblo in Terra Linda does not have the meatball soup, so we ordered the tortilla soup instead. It had no flavor. They forgot to give us our side order of rice too. On our way home to Novato, we stopped at the Mi Pueblo there and were able to get the meatball soup and rice. Both were excellent. Let Terra Linda location may have a nice bar and beautiful dining area, but from my limited experience, the food wasn't so hot read more

Amazing carne asada taco salad with so much beef, lettuce, cheese, and a little guacamole, and tomato. It lacked flavor so I asked for salsa. That was my mistake--I think the salsa might have been a little past its use by date or otherwise tainted. It tasted "off" and I scooped out the parts of my salad where I applied the salsa. Still, the next day was rough. It's a fine place for good, not great, American Mexican food that's fast, reasonable, and is served in a clean, pleasant environment. read more

Great service upon entering. Server was pleasant and food came out quickly. Food came out as ordered and was delicious. Server attentive to needs and filled up water glass before they became empty. Overall great place to eat. read more

So I just found out that Mi Pueblo had a restaurant in the Northgate Plaza. I'm not a big mall person so dont bash me too hard lol. I've been missing out! I like this restaurant a LOT better than the downtown Novato location as it's easier to move around, it's got a full bar (Yeah!) and of course, the food is amazing. One thing that's really cool is that they have a fully stocked salsa bar. Many lesser restaurants have done away with any type of salsa bar due to the current climate. Well Mi Pueblo isn't having any of that and they're serving ALL their delicious salsa's!!! Be careful of the Orange Hot one. I love spicy food but you gotta give that one some respect lol. I got a taco salad when I went last and my wife got the Chicken Tortilla soup. I loved my Taco Salad but the soup was awesome! It's definitely a lot though and might be good to split with an appetizer. at any rate, give it a shot if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed! read more

Decent spot for a quick lunch. Take out portions are good, and you can't go wrong with free chips and salsa. My co-worker got the crunchy chicken tacos and loved them. I got the Al pastor tacos and carne asada (street) tacos. (4.5/5) no complaints here. Meat was well-seasoned and falls out the side with each bite. We love all the Mi Pueblos. Each is slightly different and we've had fun visiting all of them (except for the one that is out of state). This one at Northgate is our favorite for the food. The Chile Rellenos at Northgate are the best!!! Not so much batter. The carnitas have that yummy crunch and the pastor is (almost always) exceptional. Lots of different salsas to choose from over at the salsa bar. We do not totally love the ambiance compared to other Mi Pueblos, but the food is the best!!! read more

I've visited this place a couple of times after work for happy hr. It's conveniently located to my place of employment. The service there is pretty good, and the cocktails are great! There are many excellent Mexican restaurants in San Rafael. Mi Pueblo is just okay. I have not had anything here that I would rave about or be excited to order again. That said, I haven't had anything that was really bad and would avoid. If you are looking for a bar, Mi Pueblo has fun drinks. It also has a nice covered outdoor patio area. There is ample parking at Northgate mall. The staff is generally pretty nice. Overall, I would come for the atmosphere (once things open again), but not for the food. It's a bit too pricey for the quality, especially when there are many better options. I say this as a person of Mexican descent. read more

No bueno. No mas! Something is very wrong here. I will never eat here again, even if it were free every time. There was a point at which the place I had always seen crowded has ceased to be even at peak weekend times after a sudden and permanent sharp drop. I understand why. There's no band aid or quick fix for it. I will happily travel further and pay more for safe food every time. ¡Finalizado! read more

"Never gonna give, never gonna give, give you up.A-woooooooo" Five Star burritos. I am a serial eater not only because it makes tracking my nutrition easier, I tend to like the comfort of familiarity. The burritos here are large, beautifully abundant. I like to share mine. Wonderfully tender rice, thoughtfully cooked meats (that Carne Asada needs the fat parts cut off though) and the super offers the fat you always want - sour cream and guacamole. Delivery needs to consistently include salsa as there is nothing sadder than a bag of greasy freshly fried tortilla chips with nothing to dip it in other than your burrito. I love this small business. I am so happy they are able to weather the COVID-19 storm. Their home cooked style food makes the community great! I am very angry their affiliation with Yelp Eats and Grubhub is fraudulent. This is always listed under delivery BUT IT ISNT FREE VIA YELP UNLESS YOU DOWNLOAD THE APP WHICH ISNT NOTED ANYWHERE SO HOW TF DO WE KNOW? If you choose free delivery restaurants on Yelp Eats Delivery via Grubhub just know that delivery through Yelp wasn't free. Check your invoices - it will enrage you. Grubhub "customer service" online is horrifically terrible'. If there is one thing I do not accept, it is terrible customer service. I am going to phone again on the weekday and contact Yelp directly. I do not like false advertising. I do not like being cheated. It IS the principle. I choose to give my money to businesses that operate with integrity. This great small business almost lost me - a repeat customer, with that Grubhub Yelp delivery fake free delivery nonsense. I went out of my way to order through DoorDash knowing - CONSENTING to the modest delivery fee. I want to support this small business but I will not be manipulated while doing it. Read the small print and when there isn't any to read - contact the business. This is bs especially during pandemic when so many small businesses are closing. Order your delicious burrito - but go through DOORDASH. The fee is lower and the delivery is fast. Enjoy your full belly of delicious home cooked style burrito - stay healthy and smart. read more
