Food is great will definitely come back service is good, even though restaurants was almost full we got our food right away

    what was the hidden fee?

Got the Pork Carnita, not bad if you like crunchy pork - it was overcooked. The service was good until I was ready to leave. Had to ask two different servers before getting the check. Looked at it, the meal was 12.99, tax was 1.43, total was 15 dollars even. There was a hidden charge somewhere. Went to the register, asked about it and he kept say pay 15 dollars without any type of explanation. I asked for the manager and he said there was not one. Finally, I paid. Turned out, there is a hidden fee if you use credit. I did not see a sign at the register, there was no notice on the menu, and there was not even a separate line on the receipt.

We stopped for a late lunch traveling through the area. The portions are big. We got beef nachos and the chicken chimichanga lunch. The nachos were great. The chimichanga had a bitter taste to the shell & the chicken was dry. But the rice & beans we're very good. Nice Atmosphere & servers.

About 3 miles off I-55. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated quickly and the waiter got our order in a head of a party of 13. My daughter got the loaded bake potatoes. I got the the tacos supreme. Portions were huge. Food tasted great. Service was good.

This was our first visit. Well worth the 25 minute drive. A pleasant atmosphere with great service. The tamale was the best I think I ever had. The refried beans were very good, a little different taste than most places. The entire family enjoyed the meals. We definitely will be back.

By far the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Wait time was ridiculous and the food was disgusting. Please don't waste your time going to.

Ask the Community - Mi Pueblo

What kind of meat do they use for their tamales?

Hopefully, only beef, chicken, or fish. Although, I would definitely be interested in trying bison or elk!

The crispy beef taco I had was actually very good. The chicken enchilada was fair. The beans were okay, but appeared runny to the point of being thinned out. The chips were okay, but slightly stale. (Corona beer was very good). Three of the 4 corners of my plate were broken off, and the upholstery of my seat was badly in need of replacement (although some other seats appeared newly upholstered). I also found the prices to be higher than comparable restaurants in nearby small towns. But the biggest concern by far was that there was not a speck or drop of soap to be found in the restroom, and no way to dry hands other than on clothes because the towel dispensers were thoroughly jammed. So, if there is no soap in the bathroom of this small restaurant, then is there any for the staff preparing and serving the food? Skimping on soap in the restroom makes no sense at all - unless the point is to make a horrible first-impression on potential repeat customers! To end on a more positive note, I found the servers to be very polite and accommodating.
