Best Mexican food in Lafayette County! Sooo good and we moved here from California and it rivals Mexican food out there

Had dinner here while visiting Darlington. Great fresh food! The guac and tomato salsa were homemade and delicious. Would recommend!

We visited during Oktoberfest weekend, so we made a reservation just to be safe. I'm not sure if…read morethat's normally necessary, but I didn't want to risk it. The morning of, we noticed the weather was perfect and asked to move our reservation outside and they happily accommodated us with no problem. They started us off with chips and pico de gallo. I asked for extra salsa roja and salsa verde. The pico had a nice kick, the roja had a smoky flavor, and the verde was more on the roasted side. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the verde, which was a bummer since it's usually my favorite. The chunky guac, though, was a solid 10/10. The margarita flights were 30% off, so that was an easy choice. Tons of flavor options to pick from, which was fun. For my main, I went with the Suizo burrito topped with melted Chihuahua cheese. I didn't love it -- maybe I'm spoiled living in the Quad Cities where we've got incredible Mexican spots on every corner. Something about it just felt a little off. To top it off, we were constantly swatting away flies at our table, which didn't help. Still, the service was great and our server was super friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a good dinner, and I'd definitely go back... just to try something different next time.

Thankfully, there was room because the food was delicious! We started with mocktails for the girls and a Paloma for me. Chips and two kinds of salsa were on the table quickly and then the girls ordered from the kids' menu (under ten only so this is their last chance!) and I got some shrimp fajitas. We didn't get dessert, but they do have fried ice cream that looked huge. Very fast and friendly service as well.

It was 'okay'. We…read morecame here for lunch around 1:30 on a Tuesday. They were not busy as we came after the lunch rush. Menus were given to us by the hostess as we were seated. Our server was by within 5 minutes of being seated. As we had studied the menu, we placed our drink and food orders at the same time. I ordered the Linch Combo and selected 2 Beef Enchiladas with Refried Beans. The ground beef wasn't very well seasoned in my experience. I added the hot salsa to it and that made it pretty nice actually. The refried beans were decent. My wife ordered the Lunch Taco Salad. While there was plenty of ground beef in it, like my enchiladas, it wasn't flavorful. She also added the hot salsa to it. Before adding the salsa, she noted that the lettuce was really wet and the bottom of the taco bowl was saturated. The Chips and Salsa came out right after our meals were dropped. So that was odd. But good news - the chipped were super crispy and tasty and the 2 salsas were great too. We both ordered Wine Sangria. There want any fruit in them but they were tasty. The menu here is Humungous. Something for everyone for sure. And it was I that they had lunch dishes at a lower price (~$10).
