I hadn't been to Mi Casa in awhile, but Mi Casa has always been my favorite Mexican restaurant in Matagorda County. This time, I went with my 9 year old. We went when it was quiet. (It was a Sunday around 3:30pmish.) we were sat right away and the waitress took our drink order right away. The chips and the two salsas (green and red) and our drinks were brought out within five minutes. I wasn't a fan of the chips. They taste store bought, but both of the salsas were good. My son got the kid's hamburger meal. The burger is a good size, and my kid said it was really good. There was also a bunch of fries that came with it. I got the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. I love how the corn tortillas are homemade. They are super tasty! My fajita were cooked perfectly and muy delicioso. The charro beans were flavorful and were the best beans I have had. The rice was good too. If you haven't checked out Mi Casa, you need to. The food is so good! read more

Absolutely delicious! Everything was so good I want to go back! I couldn't even finish my food because it was too much but I wanted to keep eating just because it was so good. Coming from the New Braunfels/San Antonio area where we have an abundance of good Mexican food I was skeptical that it would compare but it was honestly better than many of the places we have eaten. The homemade tortillas were a bonus! If we ever go back to Palacios, Mi Casa will be a must stop! read more

Ate here tonight and was very disappointed. My husband eats the Bistec every time we go in there. Tonight it was very very tough, to the point it was inedible. I told the waitress and the girl checked us out and both ignored us and still charged us full price. then the girl checking us out tells me that's how ppl order it!! I'm like really? Hands down the best enchiladas I've had. Chipotle chicken enchiladas! (just do it) It didn't seem promising at first since we were the only people in the establishment at 8pm on a Tuesday. Never judge a book by its cover and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Terrible chips - overdone, almost burnt and completely tasteless. Awful, watery salsa. When we could not find what we wanted to eat on the menu, they charged us $7.31 for 2 ice teas and some chips/salsa!! Glad we did not stay to eat!!! Note that they DO NOT serve any breakfast. Had some fajita nachos and they were DELICIOUS!! I'm from the Rio Grande Valley and grew up with delicious Mexican and Tex-Mex, especially fajitas, and these were the best I've had north of Rivera/Falfurrias. We came here after a whole day fishing. My husband got the fajitas (amazing), and I had the enchiladas. I actually ordered the cheese enchiladas and was mistakenly given chicken. I didn't even say anything because they were amazing! The hot sauce is super spicy and delish, perfectly fresh chips. I will definitely be back. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. We always have a good meal. Many times my husband has gotten sick after eating out and he never has here. They food is fresh. I can get homemade corn tortillas substituted with any meal, as I am gluten free. Our favorites are try tacos guisados, quail plate, nachos specials, taco salad, chili rellano, and try have s very good shrimp cocktail. I usually take home extra refried beans because they are the best I've had anywhere. The service is good and the food comes out fast and they also have very good margaritas. read more

You can eat the best authentic Mexican right here! The fajitas are really fajitas, the sauces are mild but they can make you a medium or hot one if you ask. The chicken enchiladas are to die for!! We eat here on a regular basis. Excellent food. Excellent service. Always fresh, hot, and yummy. My husband adores the quail plate and I love the Enciladas Del Mar and the Beef Fajita Chimichangas. I also love the Baked Flan and fried ice cream! Would recommend 10 times over!! read more

I ate here about six months ago but forgot to write a review. I would not go back - there are other much better restaurants in the area.

I am a really picky eater, but this place has great food and the service is awesome, would recommend to anyone that likes Mexican food.
