I never leave reviews, but I felt I needed to after this experience. Let me first start off by saying my server was very nice, but as far as the food... it was terrible to say the least. I ordered one chicken chimichanga and one beef chimichanga, both tasted like they filled them with old reheated meat that had been sitting in the fridge for a while. My server offered to take it off the bill and asked if I wanted anything else, but they made me too sick to try any other meals on the menu. What I did eat though was their Flan, which was some of the best I've ever had. It's not a bad spot. It's not the best Mexican around these parts as some have claimed. I would say the protein selection tastes fresher than most Mexican restaurants. I did notice that most of their dishes have a spicer kick to them compared to most. I got the Enchiladas verdes which was a bit spicy. I liked it, but I can see where some wouldn't as I'm not used to this dish being spicy. My wife ordered three chicken street tacos and Didn't like the flavor at all, so she sent them back and got my same dish which was no problem for the server and the restaurant who took good care of us. I tipped extra for the appreciation. The interior is nice and clean and there is enough room for COVID protocols, but on this night they did have the restaurant pretty packed, so take extra precautions if you're worried about that sort of thing. read more

This restaurant is not good. My boyfriend and I just ordered the lunch chimichanga and it was so bad. We each took one bite of the chimichanga and a few bites of rice, none of the beans. Not to mention the queso tasted like it was watered down. We asked our server if we could go elsewhere to eat as we thoroughly disliked the food and she said no because we had "already eaten half of the food." Well, we barely ate any of it. Decided to dine in and have been pining for some good Mexican food since I left California in the 1990's. Specifically, I wanted a Chili Relleno that knocked my socks off, but what I saw on the menu looked anything but inviting. It was a round ball of something that was cheese; not what I remembered that item to be. So, I ordered 2 enchiladas, rice & beans; I had been pining for good refried beans & rice, too. I ordered Coke to put out the fire created by great warm chips and salsa, and there was no carbonation in the soda. My server wasn't exactly friendly and she didn't know the menu very well. Food came quickly, the plate was hot, hot, hot, while the food wasn't. I've never gotten a plate that could burn my hand with the food being luke warm. I could tell the enchiladas were microwaved and not fresh. The beans & rice were okay, but also not fresh. I ordered another Coke halfway thru the meal, and it took a while for the server to return. I asked for less ice; thinking that's what was watering down the soda. Nope ... just flat. Not sure what was going on that night, and this is the first/last time I'll dine at Mi Casa. If I went off Yelp reviews, I might've thought this was a good restaurant. Nothing compared to La Posada in the South Bay Area. That place doesn't exist anymore, but they had the best Mexican food I've ever had. I compare all others to that restaurant. I frequented it a lot during my 20-year residency in CA. read more

Came here over the weekend and absolutely LOVED this place. I have passed this place, several times over the years but had no reason to actually walk in until my dear friend Melissa F. recommended it. She was a fan and we both were craving Mexican so thought it was the perfect place to meet up and catch up. When you first walk in, the restaurant definitely has a great layout. The bar area has its own tables and full service bar and then the dining area is open and spacious. We were seated immediately because it was that "in between" time between lunch and dinner so for a good 30 minutes, we were the only customers dining in at the time. Our server was great. Super pleasant and was great with my questions and requests from the menu. I ordered their "super salad" but definitely was eyeing the chicken soup. Mexican "pollo" soup is one of my faves but I really wanted to try their fajita meat so went with the salad. The salad itself isn't anything special but it hit the spot. The quality of the steak fajita meet was great. Came with a heaping spoonful of sour cream, shredded iceberg lettuce & sliced tomatoes on a hot plate. There might've been some chihuahua cheese that came with the salad but not enough to notice. I dug their complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were fresh, not stale which I appreciated and their homemade salsa was solid. After my salad, I was still craving more so ordered their guacamole. The fresh order was definitely chopped avocados, cilantro, lime juice and tomatoes. It was a bit on the saltier side for me so I'll will have to tell them "hold the salt" next time but we both enjoyed it and I look forward to ordering it again soon. Great food. Good location. It's off of Old Peachtree Rd, across from the QT and next door to the McDonalds in a small strip mall. You can't miss it. My family has eaten here a few times. Typical Ameri-Mex food, bland. Do not order the Chile Relleno, it's an ice cream scoop of some odd meat-cheese mixture and a 1"x1" green pepper slice placed on top and cheese melted over. I would be embarrassed to even serve that as a chile relleno. VERY far from what the dish actually is. Service is lacking too, servers take your order and never return, no courtesy checks to make sure you're happy or drink refills. This has happened on several occasions while slow and busy. I visited Mi Casa around lunch/pre-dinner time (4pm). Was greeted at the door and helped by the waitress since its been my first time there in years. She was very accommodating and gVe suggestions. I ordered the burrito nacional lunch special (around 6$). I also added rice to my burrito. The food comes with complimentary nachos and salsa. A-OK hits the nail on the head with this place. I came here for lunch during the week to celebrate a manager's birthday. We left around 12:15 and the restaurant had plenty of table available so we were seated promptly. Chips and salsa were brought within in a few minutes and they were OK. I've been spoiled with chips elsewhere and the ones we got here were pretty average. They were cold and the salsa was really chunky which isn't my favorite. We celebrated with a round of margaritas which were pretty flavorful and not just straight mixer which I've found other places. They have an impressive list of lunch combinations and smaller plate offerings ranging from $5 - $8. Their affordability was definitely a plus. I got the carne asada tacos which were warm and tasty. Lots of cilantro and onion on top which gave it some zing. The other diners seemed pleased with their meals as well. Solid flavor but nothing necessarily memorable. The wait staff was relaxed and not overly attentive. There were a few times I wished my water had been refilled sooner and that we could get some extra chips. It's a bit far compared to other choices in my direct area, but it's good to consider when I'm craving Mexican and need something budget friendly. read more

Upon entering you are promptly greeted at the door by a server or host who quickly seats you. Our little family went there for a super early dinner around 5pm on a Saturday. We were one of 2 groups there at that time. The chips and salsa were nothing spectacular. I rate all my salsas against the one at Armando's Caribe which is by far my fave. This was very run-of-the-mill salsa. My husband and I ordered from the standard Mexican combinations meal. I had a chili relleno, and burrito. Both items were very average. Ok I am going to sound like an over-fed, fat American here but I was surprised that the combinations didn't come with rice or beans. Maybe it was the lunch menu?!? I didn't miss those items but thought the public should know. :) Overall I don't think we will return because nothing really stood out. We saw Mi Casa in the same plaza and decided to check it out. BIG mistake! There were hardly any patrons in the restaurant. I have never seen a good Mexican restaurant empty on a Saturday night. It was too late to bolt. The waiter was nice, the food was not. My chicken quesadilla and flautas were mostly large cut onions and peppers...could hardly find any chicken. The tacos were average, my daughter got a burrito and said it tasted like Chef Boyardee. The salsa is very spicy, so one of my daughters could not eat it. The refried beans were just nasty and the flan---was ordered by my daughter for unknown reasons---was beyond horrible. I don't see this place lasting another month.
