During the first door installation, he took a personal phone call. While he was taking the call, he stood my new high quality Larson storm door swung open on its frame with the open door supporting it. In doing that, he bowed the door so it does not fully close to the frame after installation, leaving a gap for bugs to get in, even when locked. Joe Jenkins stated he needed access to the inside of my house during the installation, so I unlocked my entry doors for him so he could properly complete his installations. While he had access to my foyer area during the installation, he decided to steal from me. Not only did he take a brand new in box Arlo four camera security system valued at over $500, he decided to take a large green plastic storage tote which contained all of our family photos. These photos are irreplacable and priceless, just as anyone else's photos would be. I called Joe and told Joe I didn't care about the security system. I offered to Joe Jenkins $500 cash to return the photos to no avail because all he does is deny, deny, deny when I know for a fact he stole those items. I literally had to move them to get the door open for him. I'm sure all those photos and photo albums ended up in a Dumpster once he realized what he had. He also visibly attempted to steal a Black and Decker battery-operated weed eater from my back porch while access was granted for the second storm door installation. Joe was doing this two storm door installation on behalf of Lowe's as a subcontractor, not as an employee of Lowe's. KNOW WHO IS ON YOUR PROPERTY. He works under the guise of Days Off Windows and Doors out of Washington, Missouri. Do not let this guy alone on your property. He knows what he is doing in lying, cheating, and stealing, and ANY homeowner is completely vulnerable to his shadiness and crookedness. All he said was "I've been stolen from too." Well, Joe, I have never stolen from you. Your work truck and trailer were safe while on my property. I even kept the driveway gate closed while you were here for added safety, yet you stole from me in a cold, heartless, spineless manner in taking full advantage of the situation and of Lowe's customers. By writing this review, if I save one customer from being taken advantage of by Joe Jenkins of Days Off Windows and Doors, who works as a subcontractor for Lowe's (who apparently has trouble getting his own customers), I am thankful for that opportunity to do so. I encourage anyone who has had a bad experience with this guy to write a review in hopes of saving it from happening to anyone else. I can replace the security system, but I will never get my several generations of family photos replaced, and Joe Jenkins does not care one iota. Joe Jenkins is a cold-hearted individual looking to take advantage of his next victim. I will never trust any contractors alone on my property without supervision again. Those family photos can never be replaced.

He came back early afternoon only to come in with a screwdriver and was with my inside unit for under two minutes. Came up and told me it was too dirty for him to do anything. I needed to call back and make an appointment for a later time to have it cleaned. Quoted me $500 to $600 because he needed to cut my coil out to clean it, not replace it, just to clean it. Then handed me a bill for $100. Didn't even try to pressurize the system. When I called to speak with someone higher up, Chris for a better explanation, he danced around it all. First told me the tech should have stayed to fix it, only to retract and say if it was only a couple of minutes of work, but 3 or 4 hours worth he couldn't stay. I'm paying for the service correct??? Now we are left with a 92 degree house with two kids and little to no explanation for the $100 2 minute service fee and then to be left in the heat. Shame on you B&S.
