NEVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE! MRL Home Improvements was hired by…read moremy long-term general contractor to put on a new roof, and it was the worst experience I have had in 50 years of home ownership. Not one person of the 10-man crew spoke English, no bi-lingual supervisor ever showed up during the work, and they were totally careless about the damage they did to other parts of the house. Photos show the mountains of trash thrown on the porch, all around the yard, and onto the landscaping. There was so much being thrown off the roof that it was dangerous to step out any door. They couldn't repair all the damage they did and mess they made, but I guess they did end up paying for my GC to replace almost 100 ft of damaged gutters, 60 ft of bent fascia, and an air conditioner service call to dismantle and remove trash and 31 nails from inside. The list goes on and on. Thanks to the GC for getting the issues resolved as best as possible, but we had to cancel plans for multiple days while all the mess and damage was repaired. No reputable company would have treated our home this way, or unleased a crew of obviously under trained, disorganized, and careless workers. Worst home repair event of my life, and none of my friends or family have every experienced anything like this either. On the bright side, my GC did step up to the plate and get this resolved rather than these people just walking away. I hope their work installing backing, shingles, vents, etc. were up to snuff. At this point, only time will tell.

Many attempts were made to reach out to larger contractors to have some projects done at our home with no success. I met Ann and heard great things about her business. We had them come out for a consultation and we went through all of the things we wanted done to our home. They came when we scheduled the appt. They brought contractors that they work with to come in during the consultation to talk with us as well. Then they coordinated all the moving parts of our job. Joe and his team who put down our new carpet and hard wood floors were great! Jeff the painter was meticulous with all of our painting projects. As a matter of fact we had him return a short time ago to do some painting/staining outside of our home. Joe DeLine worked with the window company and installed a huge wall of windows and glass door for my new office. have you ever imagined how something would turn out and it was way better than you ever imagined? I work in my office every day and still can't believe it's my work space. And the beams constructed, and installed by Joe and stained by Ann have added a totally new and cozy dimension to our home. Yes we had a lot done. Lots of moving parts. And Ann gave us what so many companies don't anymore - she communicated every step of the way and the team gave us incredible customer service, quality and value at the end of the day. Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and care while helping take things to the next level. My husband and I highly recommend their services!

Like all houses, the siding facing north does not get exposure of the sun's UV rays, so the green and black mold (aka 'gunk') will grow on the north side. A week or so we were driving along Old State and saw the sign introducing us to Sharky Clean. I texted them to ask for a quote. They were very responsive that evening and then had the quote available the next day. The price was very reasonable. After a quick call to understand what's possible, Chadd confirmed 1. Their cleaner is eco-friendly 2. Cleans siding 3. Also helps clean the outside of gutters (not leaves inside, but the paint on the outside of the gutters) 4. They spray once with the soap 5. They then rinse off with water 6. They are quite responsive So we scheduled them for a Friday, on what happened to be a day I worked remotely ("from home"). Chadd and Phil were very helpful, introducing themselves, sharing what they were about to do, and letting us know they had everything under control. When it was time to get them to the back porch, they were patient as I shifted to a work call to them and then back to the work call. When they were done it was amazing how clean the house was and still is. Spider webs, general grit and grime... all gone!
