One of the things I've always enjoyed was the friendly greeting of the checkout staff. Sadly to say, lately, this has not been a given. They also have a great stock of whiskeys, so make sure you spend a few minutes there as well. I missed it at first because I was distracted by the amazing selection of beer. Another great thing is that the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, I love beer and have tried a fair number of craft and micro brews over the years, but when I come here, I feel like a total newbie. Fear not! The staff are there to help and answer any question you may have. They are not just people throwing stuff on shelves, Oh no, they are busy sampling their wares. They can tell you about all the great things they are selling. Now that's commitment! For those of you who don't drink beer and whiskey, they sell other stuff too, whatever!.

I had some questions about some things and Mike took the time to talk with me at length about different whiskey at every price range they carry (they have an excellent selection). I highly recommend you stop in for a good selection of spirits, wines and all the common American beers. Craft beers are somewhat limited for selection, the store isn't huge, but they have all the big local crafts on hand and cold!! I absolutely recommend them to everyone I know and will continue to do so as well as frequent them myself.

While this is great in itself, I really like the service I receive at the Kenrick Ave location. The managers have gone the extra mile to obtain and stock my favorite wine (Kretikos-white by Boutari). They do check my ID every time even though I am a frequent buyer so there probably is some credence to the other reviews on here. I've cashiered at a grocery store that sold alcohol and I also volunteered as a compliance check with law enforcement so I understand how important it is for sellers to get it right even if it means that they occasionally turn down valid sales. No excuse for them to be mean about it, though. Fortunately I haven't had that experience.
