After ringing around and finding that most insurance companies wouldn't insure the house (it is within 1,000 ft of the beach), or that the agents didn't bother to return my call or send an email as promised, or suggested we call into the office we were beginning to worry that insurance would be a big problem for us. After trying 5 other companies/agents (recommended on Yelp!) with no result I rang Wayne and left a message on his answerphone. He called back within 10 minutes, was very personable, professional, positive and helpful and had the situation totally under control. He took some information down over the phone, then emailed a quote within the hour. After another phone call we had narrowed down the coverage we wanted and he emailed the papers for signature over to us to sign, scan and email back. He also posted the documentation which arrived within days to our CA address. The whole thing went smoothly and Wayne was a joy to work with. I can't understand how Wayne isn't already listed on Yelp! I would definitely recommend Wayne to anyone on Maui who needs house insurance, especially if you are on the mainland.

You would think they would look at the house BEFORE i signed the papers. The best part: I asked "now what?" And they did not provide options - just a countdown to when the policy expired. On my own, I called insurers with State Farm's reason for dropping the house within a month. I found a company that encouraged more details about the house and said that it was well taken care of and decided to insure it. Do not contact Mark Zion State Farm- definitely not the definition of Aloha.

He spent an hour and a half with me so we could contact my Massachusetts insurer and see if by any chance I had still been insured the previous month and got the forms faxed over to save me a total of around $500. Just awesome. Thank you Tony!!

It's also away from most of the crowd, who gravitate toward the mauka (mountain) side of the Shopping complex, by Safeway and Outback Steakhouse. The bank itself is nicely and modernly decorated and the Staff there are extremely friendly and always seem happy. I like that their vibe immediately hits you when you walk in! I've never had a bad experience here and actually look forward to banking here, since I know I won't have problems finding parking and that my mood will be lifted by the friendly Staff there. CPB also has their own standalone ATM machine outside of this branch. CPB also sometimes offers better rates than the other local banks, so it pays to check out their website often. https://www.centralpacificbank.com/ Even if I am a customer of another bank as well, I enjoy this particular CPB and always enjoy my visits here.
