I had the rudest server today when I was ordering take out. I asked for a chicken quesadilla and an order of guac. She then begins talking to me as if I'm a child and saying she's going to take care of the order. I am an adult women that is much taller than her. She ordered me a small quesadilla with no vegetables. She ordered me large sides of rice and beans. A small side of guac and no salsa. This was not my order. Excellent food. Very economical, haven't seen 7.99 fajitas that's terrific and food was great. It looks very unassuming from outside but inside feel very nice mid scale restaurant. Went in for dinner and was very disappointed. I was with my gf and she's Hispanic, there is nothing wrong with that but when our server got to our table she only spoke to her and only looked at her. I find that very disturbing and disrespectful bc I'm eating out aswell as her. Made me feel very unwelcomed. Went twice got a bowl the first time, Mezcalito bowl with chicken, didn't like it at all, love the salsa and chips, it was the salad mix in the bowl, pico de gallo, not good, the chicken in the bowl barely Luke warm. Second visit had a chimichanga and I wanted it dry fried no oil, the waitress told me no, it was pretty good. I will not eat white pieces of chopped iceberg. I didn't like the salad part that came with the Chimichanga pico de gallo. I've had issues with that before requesting no frying my burrito with a Chimichanga, that's ridiculous. You put it on the grill or over gas flame cook it, or in a dry pan and heat it up. Why is that a problem for Mexican restaurants??? read more

Mezcalito in Henderson is fantastic. When they first arrived where the old Golden Corral once stood, I was curious as to how they'd fare. Henderson isn't the largest town and is quite saturated with many fantastic Mexican restaurants. Mezcalito didn't disappoint however and has become a staple for my family. Not only is the menu wonderful, but the chips and salsa served at every table are exquisite. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Burrita Al Pastor. The pork and pineapple beautifully complimented one another for a delightful meal. I'd also like to shout out my server Andrea who worked diligent to serve my very large party. We had a mini family reunion and she somehow managed to provide each one of use top notch service with a smile. I cannot overstate the quality of food and service for the price. I highly recommend Mezcalito for anyone passing through the Henderson-Oxford area. read more

We've eaten lunch here many times. The food has always been great Tex/Mex grub. It has a lunch menu that is very reasonable. I love the ACP plates and my wife loves the Chimichangas. The service is very fast so that also makes it a good lunch place if you are on a lunch break from work. It also has a full bar. read more

Holy smokes this place is incredible! Best Mexican food in the south. The Al Pastor torta was amazing I will drive two hours just to eat here. NOT IMPRESSED Walked in and was hit by a sonic blast- the music way too loud! The "greeter" stopped talking mid-sentence to answer the phone then reengaged and seated us. Chips and salsa were decent. We ordered the tiras de pollo and lunch carnitas tacos. The chicken was "stale". They obviously prep it by grilling off a bunch of chicken breasts early in the day then reheat them as needed. The sauce was unmistakably generic Velveeta, all rubbery and seriously devoid of flavour. Refried beans were so-so; definitely not made in house. The carnitas were decidedly bland. I opted for consommé as my side dish and regretted it. It tasted decent but consisted of 2/3 broth and meat and 1/3 straight up liquid grease. They opened a while ago and never seem to be busy. When we came in (noon on a Friday) there were probably 8 other diners. This place is part of a chain of restaurants and as such belongs in a shopping centre in a larger city. Prices are pretty high, the menu overly complex, and not a family friendly environment. I seriously doubt they last long in Hendo. Try Toros in Oxford instead- they are AMAZING! read more

Visited last night to check out their vibe. Lots of cars were in the parking lot, so why not. I'm no longer a meat eater (chicken & turkey was my daily loves).. Anyways. The wait was about 15 mins-like most, they take your number and text when they are ready. We went in, sat down, got the usual chips n salsa. The chip guy must have lost the salt shaker in the bin because my goodness - they were sooooo salty. I had to sweep every chip I ate with a napkin. I got tired of sweeping and cave up eating the chips. (Oh well...) . I ordered a chimichanga but with black beans only and plain lettuce, my hubby got the fajita plate. The fajita plate was pretty big! I'd say you get your $ worth on this one. On my chimichanga I opt out of no meat and asked waitress would it be a reduction in price? She said she had to ask... Came back and said, no. What? I'm only getting black beans though (ha). What about the protein bowl, can I have it without mean? Sure, but it will also be same price even if you don't get meat. Well dayum... ok, so I think they need better choices for non-meat eaters. Yes, there were veggie tacos, but I'm not find of tacos like that and besides if I wanted to substitute they wanted to charge me for swapping out ingredients- so weird. . The place seems to be a reasonable place for cleanliness. Our waitress was annoyed because I asked her for our straws the second time, after she said she would bringing them. She said - I'll get them after I take your order. I said - "No maam, I need them now please-you just said that and eating these salty chips, I need to flush badly." She wasn't too happy, but lady!! ....You forgot the straws and I'm here parched. Please bring me a straw please, and thank you. I didn't like the remaining of the dinner because she thought she was too "Preppy", and she didn't like me asking her to get me a straw. Like really. Her attitude was dry the remaining of our sit. I was about to choke! . Overall - food and vibe was ok. Will I go again while in the area... probably not because of the waitress. I'm no longer giving people "second" try's because they know better when it comes to being a waiter/waitress. I tell my employees this all the time.... "Leave your attitude at the door, you don't know if that's a persons 1st time visiting or their 20th time, help them relax and enjoy their experience- that's their exhale time." . I guess if you like to get your drink on/it would be a good place/the bar was PACKED! Also their marketing on the menu say "best drinks ever". Yes, yes, yes!! This place is SO great!! Let me back up, and say I may have never walked into this place based on how it looks from the outside. We camp close by, had to go to Walmart (right next door), and my son had actually been telling me about this place. His words were "you have to get the mahi mahi tacos and a margarita". That's what we got the first time and he was spot on. Second time around, I ordered the coctel de Cameron, best I've had in a while, and my husband ordered alambra ACP and he said it was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the bar is spectacular. So many great margaritas to choose from. If you're in town, definitely worth stopping in.
