The first time I had never been there before I had no idea where the location was coming from gladstone not a local here as I was a new patient I ended up being 10 mins late on my first exam trying to explain that I could not find the place even with GPS as the building has a few other business in it. The staff got very upset with me even with me calling ahead of time to try and find the place They acted as if it was a huge hassle to them The second instance I had made an appointment with them no problems with that but I then called to tryed to reschedule for later that day as I was a work and could not leave early I exalplaned to them that my work place was in Carney mi over an hour and a half drive hoping they could be understanding since I was willing to take that long drive agian they got upset when I asked if there was even a 10 min slot I could sneak into right before close they denied then told me that the next appointment would be in September months and months out. I then beg them to get me in so I could get my exam done now they then got angry with me said it was just not going to happen. Completely unwilling to work with me I understand its a business but the rudeness just continued. I ended up having no choice but to make the September appointment. And the 3rd and final problem i ran into. I bought two pairs of glasses at the business one was state aid the other was paid for in cash fully meaning one pair was free and I bought a back up pair just in case which cost $500. 2 years ago . Obviously there was no warranty anymore . 2 years down the road my state aid glasses are completely fine i love em..then the ones that cost $500 have a film that has been completely destroyed making the lenses unable to see out of at all. So I then today i called them asked if there was anything that could be done they were once agian rude they said I should have called sooner even after being told there's no damage on the frame nothing is broken its just the protective film Honestly, I hardly ever wore these glasses. The film just wore off over time. They now tell me I have to buy a new glass. I find it completely absurd that they could not switch my lenses or have protective coding removed I .I was not asking for new glasses i was not asking for anything that could not be done at the very least they werent even willing to look at them and see what they could do. Yes two years is a long time i should have called earlier , but to be treated like garbage for all three of these instances and then they sit there and tell me that they're trying to help me is absurd and foul!!! I'm sure they will comment and say how innocent they are and that all 3 instances were my fault But honestly , they were mean to me to the point to where I have made this humongous review. The Tone in their voice the lack of caring the lack of understanding and the overall Way the staff treated me. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR GLASSES!!!

I've always had a strong far-sighted prescription. He cut the prescription for one eye in hallf and the other eye about the same. When I got my glasses finally, I couldn't even see through them. So I went back and told them what was going on. So he checked my eyes again and told me that I had cataracts! He couldn't see that a weak before?! I ended up having cataract surgery and no longer need glasses! YAY. But they wouldn't give me any of my money back and still send me a bill for something I never should have to pay for. After 2 tries, they were not able to adjust these lenses so that I could actually see either typed text or the computer screen. I asked for a refund and was told they have a "no refund" policy. They offered to convert my glasses to "readers" only...something I could buy at a drug store or Walmart for $20, but they would make no adjustment to the cost of the glasses. Currently I am out $551 and have no glasses to show for it.

upon completion of my contact eye exam that took 2 visits over 3 weeks, and 2 vacation days off of…read morework, for my contact prescription, i was given an eye glass prescription.? So, I as well as my contact provider attempted to obtain the perscription info to no avail, I was told "why didn't you ask for the contact prescription upon completion of the visit"...My answer was, "Thats all i was there for, why was i given anything else other than that" i was then told "we normally give them to you". To have the contact provided to contact them, I did that. Immediately. They then told them (the online contact provider) they would fax it to them, with no release from me, the provider explained that they would need the info first to start an order process they refused to provide that, and faxed the prescription to them regardless....for no reason, with no order started its pointless to fax it, i literally pleaded with them to assist me in this process as i live 1.5 hrs away and coming into the office during regular office hours would require a 3rd day off of work (pto) to remedy their obvious mistake...they refused!! flat out refused! i asked to leave a voice mail for the Doctor, I was told "your talking to her" i asked "is this Dr.Bauer?" the response was "no I'm the voice mail, we don't have a voice machine" with a short chuckle. needless to say the service here is a joke, the compassion is absent, and there is no understanding of patients particular situations. this was my first visit to this office, i will NEVER be back.

Dr. Brown and his staff were awesome. I definitely felt like the exam I got was more thorough than my previous experiences and Dr. Brown just seemed to care more about the overall well being of my eyes than the other eye doctors I've seen. I'm sure not up to speed on the various eye diseases and their symptoms (what the heck is glaucoma, anyway?) so I'm glad someone is! Great selection of frames, too.
