The place up there is one I found because of No Reservations...a Bourdain gem. Nonetheless, the pierogi was very good, the kielbasa flavorful and savory. The beets were the best I've had. Good value for what it is; though she could charge whatever she wants for scratch made authentic Polish and I'd be game. Here's to hoping this is a regular Friday occurrence. We ordered six tacos and two drinks, and our total came out to around $35. The food was definitely good. The meat was flavorful, the tacos were loaded, and everything tasted fresh. The tortillas held up well, and the toppings complemented the meat without overpowering it. The drinks were refreshing and paired well with the meal. That being said, the biggest issue for me is the price. While the tacos were tasty, I don't know if they were $35-for-lunch tasty. Memphis has no shortage of great taco trucks and taquerias, and honestly, you can find similar quality at several other spots for less money. The service was quick, and our food came out fast even during the lunch rush. The outdoor seating was nice, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I can see why Taco Nganas has such a strong following. Would I come back? Yes, but probably not often. This feels more like a once-in-a-while treat rather than a regular lunch stop. The food earns high marks, but the price keeps me from giving it five stars. Overall, good tacos, good service, and a good experience. Just be prepared to spend a little more than you would at most taco trucks. 4 out of 5 tacos.

The immediate thing I noticed was the poor server attempting to serve the ENTIRE restaurant, including the bar by herself. This is completely unacceptable for the business owner to put that much strain on one person. As a result, we don't see her as much (she really tried), as well as forgetting things we asked for and sometimes, had to ask 3 times. This is NOT her fault - I blame their management for even allowing this to happen. There were 5 of us and out of the 5, three liked their meals. Two of us enjoyed the Chicken Burrito and another the Empanadas. My friend told me he disliked the seasoning on the steak fajitas but ate them anyway. As a result of the above, I will probably give them a pass next time and go somewhere else until they get their act together a bit better. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in Collierville to go to and likely will enjoy them more.
