Think Chipotle, mixed with Moe's, but better. Love tortillas? Love rice? What about brisket? Carnitas? TWO QUESOS?! Got your attention there huh? Who doesn't love queso? Unless you're lactose intolerant then I guess I'll forgive you there...maybe. The interior is impressive and the most updated of pretty much anywhere in Clinton. The menu is easy to read and will be familiar in style if you're a Chipotle fan. The first thing I noticed was no steak. "What?!" I thought to myself. That was my sign to step out of my comfort box, and you can too. The steak may have completed a disappearing act, but in its place you'll find brisket, carnitas, chicken, barbacoa, and chorizo. Keep your eyes on that brisket and your stomach will thank you later, it was perfection and complimented the rest of the bowl just right. Their toppings are abundant with all the standards you would expect plus some refreshingly unique options to choose from such as an onion and cilantro mix, black olives, and colorful peppers. I sort of wanted to smother my bowl in both quesos like a fat mouse has dreams about, but I refrained and chose the regular white queso. It was just right and smooth as could be. Nothing like the nasty stuff Chipotle is out there serving. I'll definitely go for the mexiQueso with chorizo in it next time to try it out. Portion sizes are awesome. Half the bowl now and half the bowl later will be what your stomach tells you even when your eyes are telling you to keep going. No money wasted for sure. After living in plenty of cities and towns in the US I've had my fair share of quick, fast, and delicious "build your own" flavored restaurants. For those that are aware of Chipotle, Qdoba, or Moe's; this is the same concept. I'm fighting to find the right words to describe this place because thinking about the tasty meal makes my brain go funky. I have many miles of order-at-the-counter Mexican style that I wasn't thrilled when family told me about this location. I mean that with all of the kindness in my heart. You can only try so many of the same types of establishments before you get.... bored. Especially after enjoying true Mexican food for years, I wasn't excited. Well........ my family brought home leftovers and with light in their eyes told me to try it. It. Was. Delicious. Could it be? I had a new appreciation for this? It was like my eyes were opened for the first time. Since my family absolutely LOVED the meal they wanted to go back a few days later, I had to see it for myself. I forgot my phone at home so I wasn't able to capture pictures from this memorable moment, but living the experience made it that much more worth it. Can I even English? First impressions: There was a steady flow of customers coming in. Though they do have seating, people seem to leave and others fill their spots nearly immediately. The line lasted the duration that I was there, with the wizards behind the glass working magic to get everyone out quickly but satisfied. The place was REALLY clean. The employees had great communication skills. When you walk in head to the back on the right side, -Choose from: burrito, quesadilla, bowl, tacos, and salad. -Meat choices: Chicken, Carnitas, Chorizo, Barbacoa, and smoked Brisket -Inside fixins: Cilantro lime rice, Pinto or Black Beans, fajita veggies, lettuce, queso ($0.50 extra), a variety of salsas, sour cream, cheese, guac ($1.95 extra). Prices should be current as of 1/1/21. Other options: Chips & Salsa, Queso, mexiQueso, or Guac. MexiFries & Salsa, Queso, mexiQueso, or Guac. Kids meals (tacos or cheese quesadilla). My personal excitement aside fountain drinks? The Mexican Sprite, Coke, or Fanta. They do offer a dessert- Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup referred to as "The G.O.A.T." I ordered the bowl with Carnitas, rice, pinto beans, corn salsa, fajita veggies, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. The carnitas were so soft. The flavors mixed together nicely and my mouth and entire GI system were in heaven. The prices are very fair for what you get as well as the experience. They don't skimp on your food like MANY places do and it makes the customer feel welcomed, like where they spend their dollar matters. This place burned a positive experience in my mind that I will never forget. I learned not to judge and turn down places based on past experiences at similar establishments. This is the best new restaurant in Clinton, with food and ambience rivaling any of the better-know restaurants in big cities (Moe's, Chipotles, etc.). Every meat is delicious, and the burritos are huge. Tons of extras to add. They offer burritos, bowls, tacos, salads and quesadillas. Salsas taste homemade. They also have a kids meal. My 5-year-old says it's the "best place in the world." It's my favorite new place. read more

I am a regular in town customer at this establishment it always seems to be hit or miss on the quality of the food. Some days it can't be beat by anything in town but sad to say this was not my experience tonight the rice was badly undercooked and clumpy still on top of that I paid for double meat and got barbaquoa and carnitas my mistake because the barbaquoa tasted like charcoal from the bottom of a grill and ruined my whole entree even after having a few beers I still could not force myself to eat it. I will be still coming back because the good times outweigh the bad! read more

I'm always disappointed after getting their food. The prices they charge for their food vs. the amount of food they give you doesn't match. I never get meat but there's no discount for that or replacement and then they barely give you any other ingredients, So I'm usually never full after eating. They have these ridiculously small serving ladles and don't give you 2 scoops. When i got my bowl I was looking for all the beans, but alas, there were no more to find. Also, as a Mexicana, I'm EXTREMELY bummed over the lack of flavor. The manager is nice and has had to give us free stuff because of some crap going wrong. Well, I'm sick of asking so I'm done going.
