Who would have thought that my first restaurant in Canada would be accidentally a vegan one, and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. I gotta be honest, we ended up here without knowing that it was all vegan, n since I chose the place, I saw I disappointed my family for choosing such by mistake. But, these folks really changed our mind. All of the stuff we ordered were not only delicious, but we didn't really feel like we're having imitation meat. We loved and finished every bit of it. I was never much of a fan of imitation meat, but this place has made me reconsider. The service was great. Very friendly and polite folks who own/run the place. We were kinda clueless on what we were gonna order as the sunday's special menu didn't sound all that familiar. The waitress was patient with us in answering any questions we had and helped us choose the order. We need more such good service at the restaurants. It was my newborn nephew's first outing. In town for a night and found this very rare all vegan Mexican restaurant and in a place where you least expect it. We may not fit the usual looking vegans and that's why perhaps as soon as we entered the girl clarified with us that we knew that this place is vegan only. The service was very slow as well Ordered a large Nachos. Multicoloured Chips and topped with vegetables, sour creams, cheeze and tons of runny refried beans. The size was definitely too much for the both of us for which we were warned. The chips good, the Cheeze not so good and vegan sour cream ok. The runny refried beans made the chips soggy. The Enchiladas - too little filling inside and again the tomatillo green salsa too runny. The flavour was very mild for us and the profound flavour was just the tomatillos. The quantity we got for the price paid was disappointing as well. The Passion Fruit cocktail was absolutely amazing. Very good Passion Fruit flavour and perfectly made and very refreshing. It was cold outside, but we enjoyed the icy drink. The restaurant has two coolers that you can buy some vegan items. We got Butler Soy Curls that are hard to find. read more

I loved this place!! The food was yummy, my server was welcoming and helped me to select the right dish. I had the Huarache which was a thick purple corn tortilla topped with ground beef and their salsa. The thick tortilla was surprisingly light and easy to eat, likely because it is stuffed with refried beans. There are plenty of the regular dishes on the menu but I'm glad I went off the beaten path and tried this. With a little extra hot pepper of course. Mexhico is a plant-based Mexican restaurant in downtown Barrie that has something for everyone. I've tried their tacos barbacoa, guacamole, tacos al pastor, and flautas and everything I have tried has been delicious. Their cocktails and house-made salsas are also great. Even my husband, a meat and potatoes guy, really enjoys their vegan menu. Their decor, service, and portion sizes are also great. So happy to have found this place. Barrie is a regular pit stop for me and having a tasty vegan option available is wonderful. I got the tacos Al pastor, and they were delicious and a great portion (5 tacos!!). Ask for the habanero hot sauce on the side - you won't regret it. The place is a good size and has cute decor. Holy guacamole! Okay, I didn't actually have guacamole this time, but the Huarache I had was fantastic - spicy, savoury, tangy, a great mix of soft and crunchy, and very fresh. And I would never have guessed that the ground 'beef' wasn't actually meat. Everything is plant-based here. A tad on the expensive side, but the food is truly excellent. Easy ordering by phone, and everything was ready within 15 minutes; very friendly. Will definitely be back. read more

We were so happy to find this little gem, an all vegan Mexican restaurant. The portions are large and food is deliciously flavoured. Vegan "Barbacoa" tacos, "chicken" enchiladas, Salty mango margarita - they were all delicious. Service was quick and attentive. Can't wait to go back! read more

Best Mexican food in town, everything is authentic and delicious, my wife and I order the loaded fries, which tastes amazing. We also had the Al pasto and barbacola tacos, both were beyond our expectations. To top off everything the desert was out of this world, a chocolate brownie. Best kept secret about this place it's all vegan. We had no idea, until we were about to leave this place. Great spot. read more
