    Chip out of our plates.

Waitress did not come check on us once during the course of our meal, we had to keep getting other employees attention to ask for more water or ice tea. My sister and I ordered burritos, both were cold inside. Chaged $16.99 for this, small portion, no accompanying side , garnish, nothing. Horrible presentation. The utensils for the sauces had dried food on them. Not from us, came out the kitchen that way. Chips out of 2 of our plates, they're complimentary appetizer was a small dish of thinly sliced watermelon. Pretty sad.Husbands fahita came and the wraps for his fahita actually were dirty and had chunks of beef on them. He ordered chicken fahitas, so not sure where the chunk of beef came from? Terrible service, disappointing food, atmosphere was not great either. And after this disaster of a meal, they only offered 30% discount? The entire meal should have been taken off our bill. My brother in law had soup and a ceaser salad, it's the only meal they didn't manage to screw up. Definitely never coming back, do not recommend this place.

Upon arriving we had some very tough decisions to make as we attempted to pick which tacos to start with. We placed our first order with the server, and the food arrived pretty quickly and was awesome. We got a whole bunch of taco flavours and enjoyed all of them. I think the Carnitas tacos were our favourite. We also got a quesadilla but the tortilla was so thick it didn't have much flavour. We had the same issues with the sopes we ordered; it was too doughy and just felt like filler. We ordered a chicken soup and it was refreshing after eating so many carbs. Our biggest complaint about our experience was the service. After taking our first order, the server never checked on us again. I held up my hand for a few minutes, and in a restaurant with three occupied tables no one noticed me. I had to walk up to the front to ask the waiter to visit our table. We placed a small second order and I asked for some napkins, because the number of tacos I can eat without making a mess is quite low. The food came pretty quickly, but I never got my napkins. The owners here seemed very friendly. The man brought us our food and spoke with us and he was fun to talk to. The woman apologized to us at the end of the meal for the poor service we received and gave us a coupon. Between the friendly owners and the amazing tacos I really want to like this place, but I can't justify the terrible service we got from our waiter. Was I really asking for too much when I wanted a napkin?

This is the only Mexican all you can eat I know of in the GTA or nearby. Certainly it is the only one in Barrie. So it's great to indulge your love of Mexican (and not Tex-Mex!). That said there're some concessions to Tex-Mex, with the burritos and American cheese on the nachos. We were greeted with servings of what seemed to be light versions of nachos & 2 sopes (like the corresponding items on their menu, but with fewer toppings). The nachos used nice, crispy, firm tortilla chips. The sopes were decent (though I'm not a fan of Hispanic corn dough, since it's quite heavy & has a strong taste) Sopa de tortilla was very rich & tasty & slightly spicy. There was a nice texture from the tortilla bits & pork rinds. Caldo de pollo was good but it was just chicken soup with rice. The tacos were pretty big. Campechano was mostly beef & sausage inside, but was dry with a flat flavour. Yet, it was not the fault of the meat - on its own the stuffing was pretty tasty - it just didn't work in the taco. Camaron was pretty good it had a lot of herbs & had a fresh taste especially with the sour cream. Gringa was good: like Mexican pulled pork - more onion, more sour & less sweet than American pulled pork. Pastor was tasty spiced pork with pineapple, though it was better on its own outside the taco. Pambazo was a soft, very potatoey bun which was pretty good. Enchilada mole was quite small - you could just order 1. It was decent. The lime agua fresca drink had a good lime taste & tasted fresh & homemade. The desserts were decent too. 3 milks cake was pretty good - I've had moister but this was moist & rich. Bunuelos (fried dough) were decent - fresh with nice cinnamon, but very thin so they were all crunch; they were also a bit oily. Ice cream was normal.

Cocina Mexicana offers both all you can eat or a la cart items. The food is authentic and the service is great and very friendly.

These aren't your local bar's nachos... mmmmm

A new family favorite and we're from Toronto!!! As a short detour from the highway, we always make a point to stop by here on the way north to where some days, we make excuses just to go lol. Customer service is consistently excellent, vibe is welcoming, food is delicious and staff is incredibly nice!! Wish they had this in Toronto!

After hearing about an all you can eat Mexican restaurant we were very excited and drove all the way to Barrie to check it out. It checked out very well. The price was very reasonable at $14, it almost seemed too good to be true. They have a very wide selection of items, including dessert, all built into the price. Only drinks are extra. We tried all the tacos, soup, salad, flautas, enchiladas, and more. They even had Potosian empanadas. For dessert we tried some churros, and a serving of tres leches cake, individually portioned. It was all very delicious and the service was good, considering the volume of people that were eating there. The value for the money is excellent, and they really do a great job with all the dishes.

We were looking for some Mexican tacos, we found this place. A simple concept, it's an all you can eat, you can select into a great variaty. Delicious. The parking space it's small, but worth it.

Cute little place in a small plaza close to Barrie center. $15.99 on weekdays (Monday-Saturday). $18.99/person on weeknights and Sundays. Food was okay. Meat in tacos were dry and not seasoned well. They put supplementary sauces and onions in the middle to put whatever stuff you wish in your tacos. The food came moderately quick. Dessert was probably my favourite. Churros, 3 milk cake and donut was good. Servers were not very responsive and disorganized. But they were nice. I don't think I would come again honestly. But maybe try their all you can eat breakfast menu?

I know we're all in a province wide state of emergency right now, and I was grocery shopping down the street at wholesale club and didn't have time to make dinner. So I ordered ahead so the food would be ready when I get there. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant so I ordered 3 types of tacos. Gringas, Chorizo and Tinga de pollo. The lady on the phone was so nice to me and also the man at the front who greeted me was very kind...considering what's going on in the world at this moment. I had a pleasant experience..the food was amazing the salsa roja is amazing! I would recommend the gringas and chorizo taco the chicken was good but not my preference. If your in the area I'd definitely consider ordering via Uber eats, skip the dishes or even call ahead. You won't regret it.

Wow! This place is amazing! I felt like I was back in Mexico! The staff was funny, organized and quick. The food is fresh! You must go try this place you will not be disappointed!

As a Mexican living in Canada I've been waiting for this style of Mexican food (all you can eat) and I'm excited and proud to say that it's finally here; it is authentic, homemade and especially fresh Mexican food. Thanks Cocina Mexicana for bringing home close to us

Worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. No flavor. Shocking to me that it was busy. Really can't believe it.

I gotta be honest, we ended up here without knowing that it was all vegan, n since I chose the place, I saw I disappointed my family for choosing such by mistake. But, these folks really changed our mind. All of the stuff we ordered were not only delicious, but we didn't really feel like we're having imitation meat. We loved and finished every bit of it. I was never much of a fan of imitation meat, but this place has made me reconsider. The service was great. Very friendly and polite folks who own/run the place. We were kinda clueless on what we were gonna order as the sunday's special menu didn't sound all that familiar. The waitress was patient with us in answering any questions we had and helped us choose the order. We need more such good service at the restaurants. It was my newborn nephew's first outing. They have a changing table which was a relief. Drink options looked attractive, we couldn't try them this time.

We may not fit the usual looking vegans and that's why perhaps as soon as we entered the girl clarified with us that we knew that this place is vegan only. The service was very slow as well Ordered a large Nachos. Multicoloured Chips and topped with vegetables, sour creams, cheeze and tons of runny refried beans. The size was definitely too much for the both of us for which we were warned. The chips good, the Cheeze not so good and vegan sour cream ok. The runny refried beans made the chips soggy. The Enchiladas - too little filling inside and again the tomatillo green salsa too runny. The flavour was very mild for us and the profound flavour was just the tomatillos. The quantity we got for the price paid was disappointing as well. The Passion Fruit cocktail was absolutely amazing. Very good Passion Fruit flavour and perfectly made and very refreshing. It was cold outside, but we enjoyed the icy drink. The restaurant has two coolers that you can buy some vegan items. We got Butler Soy Curls that are hard to find.

I love Mexican food, and as someone who has had AUTHENTIC Mexican (my cousins are Mexican..so I'm not talking Taco Bell here..) I was very excited about the prospect of going to Mexicano's. When we arrived, it was about 8pm on a Saturday night so it wasn't very busy (the weather was crap as well..) so you'd THINK that the service would have been a little more "on spot".. It was just us and another table of 2 and they had already been served. We finally ordered a couple of Dos Equis (tasty!) and took a look at the menu. They started us off with some nacho chips and homemade salsa.. a little watery but tasty and SPICY! Although intrigued by the section entitled "STREET TACOS".. we elected to go with a combo platter for 2 which had a variety of various foods on it.. all were delicious.. and there was a very good variety of menu items. We couldn't even finish the whole thing as there was more than enough food for two (and we LOVE our food..) The only complaint I would have is the service. Had it been better, they totally could have made more money from us.. we would have at least had another beer.. The decor is bright and colourful albeit a bit "worn".. but very fiesta like. The staff was friendly and nice enough.. just didn't see enough of them! All the food is freshly made on premise - the place is owned by 2 Mexican brothers and the quality is very good. All together, with 4 beers and food for 2, it was under $50 so it was a decent deal as well!! I'll go back. The food is delicious and I'm craving some Mexican right now..... yum!
