Food tasted great! However I will never return. If you're happy with only one teaspoon of meat in your burritto, have at her!

This is the only Mexican all you can eat I know of in the GTA or nearby. Certainly it is the only…read moreone in Barrie. So it's great to indulge your love of Mexican (and not Tex-Mex!). That said there're some concessions to Tex-Mex, with the burritos and American cheese on the nachos. We were greeted with servings of what seemed to be light versions of nachos & 2 sopes (like the corresponding items on their menu, but with fewer toppings). The nachos used nice, crispy, firm tortilla chips. The sopes were decent (though I'm not a fan of Hispanic corn dough, since it's quite heavy & has a strong taste) Sopa de tortilla was very rich & tasty & slightly spicy. There was a nice texture from the tortilla bits & pork rinds. Caldo de pollo was good but it was just chicken soup with rice. The tacos were pretty big. Campechano was mostly beef & sausage inside, but was dry with a flat flavour. Yet, it was not the fault of the meat - on its own the stuffing was pretty tasty - it just didn't work in the taco. Camaron was pretty good it had a lot of herbs & had a fresh taste especially with the sour cream. Gringa was good: like Mexican pulled pork - more onion, more sour & less sweet than American pulled pork. Pastor was tasty spiced pork with pineapple, though it was better on its own outside the taco. Pambazo was a soft, very potatoey bun which was pretty good. Enchilada mole was quite small - you could just order 1. It was decent. The lime agua fresca drink had a good lime taste & tasted fresh & homemade. The desserts were decent too. 3 milks cake was pretty good - I've had moister but this was moist & rich. Bunuelos (fried dough) were decent - fresh with nice cinnamon, but very thin so they were all crunch; they were also a bit oily. Ice cream was normal.

All you can eat tacos. It's gringo tacos. If you're hungry and have a big party - great place!…read moreLocation is good in Downtown Barrie.

Very small portion. No accompanying slides, big disappointment. Chicken burrito was cold inside and tasteless.

Who would have thought that my first restaurant in Canada would be accidentally a vegan one, and I…read moremust say I'm pleasantly surprised. I gotta be honest, we ended up here without knowing that it was all vegan, n since I chose the place, I saw I disappointed my family for choosing such by mistake. But, these folks really changed our mind. All of the stuff we ordered were not only delicious, but we didn't really feel like we're having imitation meat. We loved and finished every bit of it. I was never much of a fan of imitation meat, but this place has made me reconsider. The service was great. Very friendly and polite folks who own/run the place. We were kinda clueless on what we were gonna order as the sunday's special menu didn't sound all that familiar. The waitress was patient with us in answering any questions we had and helped us choose the order. We need more such good service at the restaurants. It was my newborn nephew's first outing. They have a changing table which was a relief. Drink options looked attractive, we couldn't try them this time.

We may not fit the usual looking vegans and that's why perhaps as soon as we entered the girl clarified with us that we knew that this place is vegan only. The service was very slow as well Ordered a large Nachos. Multicoloured Chips and topped with vegetables, sour creams, cheeze and tons of runny refried beans. The size was definitely too much for the both of us for which we were warned. The chips good, the Cheeze not so good and vegan sour cream ok. The runny refried beans made the chips soggy. The Enchiladas - too little filling inside and again the tomatillo green salsa too runny. The flavour was very mild for us and the profound flavour was just the tomatillos. The quantity we got for the price paid was disappointing as well. The Passion Fruit cocktail was absolutely amazing. Very good Passion Fruit flavour and perfectly made and very refreshing. It was cold outside, but we enjoyed the icy drink. The restaurant has two coolers that you can buy some vegan items. We got Butler Soy Curls that are hard to find.

I love Mexican food, and as someone who has had AUTHENTIC Mexican (my cousins are Mexican..so I'm not talking Taco Bell here..) I was very excited about the prospect of going to Mexicano's. When we arrived, it was about 8pm on a Saturday night so it wasn't very busy (the weather was crap as well..) so you'd THINK that the service would have been a little more "on spot".. It was just us and another table of 2 and they had already been served. We finally ordered a couple of Dos Equis (tasty!) and took a look at the menu. They started us off with some nacho chips and homemade salsa.. a little watery but tasty and SPICY! Although intrigued by the section entitled "STREET TACOS".. we elected to go with a combo platter for 2 which had a variety of various foods on it.. all were delicious.. and there was a very good variety of menu items. We couldn't even finish the whole thing as there was more than enough food for two (and we LOVE our food..) The only complaint I would have is the service. Had it been better, they totally could have made more money from us.. we would have at least had another beer.. The decor is bright and colourful albeit a bit "worn".. but very fiesta like. The staff was friendly and nice enough.. just didn't see enough of them! All the food is freshly made on premise - the place is owned by 2 Mexican brothers and the quality is very good. All together, with 4 beers and food for 2, it was under $50 so it was a decent deal as well!! I'll go back. The food is delicious and I'm craving some Mexican right now..... yum!
