My dog was greeted by another dog named Tango who had the most laid back calm energy. My dog became fast friends with him and started a very positive experience. I have been looking in the area for quite awhile and thought okay I'll try them. Am I glad I did. The vet was so friendly and knowledgeable. His staff the same. You can be sure I will return there and am a very happy new client. Cindy Williams

Unbelievably scary experience while walking my dog outside of my work today. Bowie ingested a piece…read moreof hard boiled egg on the ground, I immediately removed it from his mouth to then see that it was covered in tiny, black pavement ants. Within seconds, he started to panic. I opened his mouth and he was blue... I immediately called Milford Animal Hospital where it is less than a mile from my work. I told them that I was 2 minutes away, he was blue and barely breathing and her response was, "Sorry, we do not accept new patients." ARE YOU &@$#%&# SERIOUS??? NEVER in my 25 years of working in Emergency Veterinary Medicine would I EVER, EVER refuse to see an animal in respiratory distress, especially to the point that they were blue. Thankfully, it was an acute reaction and Mendon Animal Clinic did not hesitate to ask me, "How long before you're here?" Those would have been my exact words if the role was reversed. Bowie is now doing well, huge shout out to the girls at MENDON ANIMAL CLINIC!!! You Rock! On the other hand, SHAME ON YOU "MILFORD ANIMAL HOSPITAL".... you messed with the wrong girl. I will FOREVER tell this story to as many people as I possibly can, I talk to many everyday. Bad news travels real quick.

Can't say enough about M.A.H. Dr. Robinson has been seeing Jack since April, and he is awesome. He…read moreclearly LOVES animals, very patient with all of my question-asking (this is my first dog), and extremely knowledgeable. In fact the entire staff is great. His office visits are not expensive, and he often has samples of heart worm meds, etc. He saved me about $50.00 in this medication alone to date. And, he has been there forever. Years. This is important to me, as I got so many word-of-mouth references from friends and neighbors. The exam rooms are clean, and the entire office is tidy and kept up well. Jack was neutered this past Monday... he was sent home with some puppy vicodin, and of course a fashionable cone for his little head. The incision looked good from day one. Hardly any swelling/bruising, and he was stitched up in a perfect straight line. Not that he would notice, but I was impressed by the care and patience taken with this. The nurses didn't want to give him back to me when I picked him up later that day... they LOVED him. He's back to his old self already, and one of the nurses called to see how my lil guy is doing! In the past my cat was a patient at Millis Animal Hospital located in the next town over. Over time I grew a little uneasy since every time I'd bring Cleo in there would be a new vet... a new nurse... a new receptionist... the turnover was a ton...

Oh, his heart is slightly enlarged." $700+ Fast-forward a week at specialty doc. "Nothing in his belly." $1.3k "But we recommend an echocardiogram." Scheduled. Another 1k. "He has a MASSIVE tumor on his heart." One week later, he is gone. 1k to put him to sleep. So today I had to bring my senior kitty, 17.5 years old. Needed a thyroid level check and BP check. $500. HUH? Oh, the doctor decided to do an XYZ blahblahblah test. Oh, really? Did anyone come and ASK ME? Nope! Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. Doc wouldn't come out to speak to me, but sent Miss NonBinary, who proceeded to tell me THEY are the experts and THEY know this, that and the other. But did they consult me? NOPE! Just give us your money because we decided to do these tests and we are the experts. AND we will not give you refills on your pet's medicine anymore. Oh, really... Well, let me apologize to the young woman checking me out, because I am sure she will have nightmares about me tonight. I told them straight up how absolutely disgusting they are for trying to pull that shit. As an aside, while I was waiting, an older gentleman came in trying to return prescription shampoo. Bottle still sealed. "Someone put this in my bag but I don't want it. I want to return it." Oh... you can't do that, sir. They wouldn't take it back. Gave him a hard time. Apparently this is a theme with them. They'll be sending me my records. Good. Doing me a favor. Not only are they absolutely scumbag sneaky thieves, they are grossly incompetent. STAY AWAY.

We have been using the Johnston Banfield location for almost 5 years now. We have seen a lot of…read morestaff come and go which can be concerning considering you want to see the same faces who know and love your pet. The plan is great for those who want to keep up with vaccines and can wait about a month for a walk in visit. (sometimes sooner if you're on the call out list and someone actually cancels their visit time which you can make...) The plan covers dental cleanings, walk in visits, vaccines, and all other check in procedures (fecal testing, de-worm meds, etc) for I think it's like $40 a dog. We pay like $500 a year for all of this and I know a visit alone can cost $80 just to walk in at most places, let alone all this includes and a cleaning alone is almost $350. So yes, this deal is amazing! We see Dr. Carlson who has been there I think like 2.5 years of the 5 which is nice to always see her face but I am nervous if (and almost when) she leaves. She's great with my pups and at this point, knows them and has their history. BUT, with that said, it is a revolving door. New faces at the front every visit. New doctors often as well. And as mentioned, if you need a walk in TODAY, don't plan on it. I do have a back-up vet I see for emergencies and on occasion so she can maintain a relationship with my dog. But factor that in and it's about another $100 without emergency visits. (which thankfully only happened once). Most of the time you do wait about 20 minutes for a room and now with COVID it's about the same but you don't go in the room with them, they just take your dog in the back and then come back with him/her and notes from the visit. It's hard but understandable. So I guess my overall review on this place is if I could be seen at the drop of a hat if something was wrong and didn't see faces come and go, I would give a much higher rating because what we do get from them, is amazing! :)

The whole visit felt more like a sales pitch than care for my pet. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you value respectful treatment and genuine veterinary care.
