if you are seeing this and telling yourself that it can't be that bad or "all broker companies have bad reviews" stop now and do not work with these people, i did the same thing and now i am writing this. specifically never work with karn chauhan. his phone number is: (516) 661-1612 they list sami katri: (917)743-1713 on their listings but then will text you off thier personal numbers because they are not even licensed brokers!! do not work with them! all of the good revies on here are literally their "brokers" they ask for a good faith deposit, never send in your application but ask for a million different documents that are not normal to be asked for. they are super unresponsive. thought we got an apartment but turns out we didn't!! they strung us along for a week giving excuses. still have not received good faith deposit back! do not i repeat do not work with them. read more

Dylan It was amazing helping me to close the lease of my apartment. From the first contact, visit and all the necessary details, always kept me informed of every step. Honestly I was pretty desperate to close the contract and he helped me to stay calm and confident that everything would work within the time I needed to move in. My husband and I found Maureen Dickson through a listing on Street Easy. She was courteous, professional, and eager to help us find the perfect place. In fact, every apartment that Maureen showed us fit ALL of our criteria, and made it so hard to decide...which I guess is a great position to be in! Maureen was prompt in her communication and always transparent (which is so important), and she even advocated for us when it came to our lease start date and a few fixes in the apartment prior to move-in. In working with Maureen, we were able to make what could have been a very stressful situation very easy and pleasant. It was wonderful getting to know Maureen and to hear about her vibrant life and interests. We would wholeheartedly recommend asking for Maureen at MPG, and you should definitely consider her especially if you are looking in Manhattan from the UWS northward! read more

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I never write reviews but this experience deemed it necessary. I saw a listing through Dylan Martinelli that was a unique property - I emailed, received no response, so I texted two days later. Still no response, I called his office which was useless because they could not check the database for me to get more information on the apartment (seriously?). The next day, I finally heard from Dylan through a standard broker message and he offered to show me the apartment in the evening. He called me in the afternoon after I had asked for an address to meet at. Apparently there are four vacancies in this building, and looking to start a lease within a WEEK - typically, it's 3-4 weeks out. I said I needed a little more time, and he said he that might be possible. However, I couldn't get any farther because all of a sudden Dylan said, "well you're never going to find the kind of apartment you are looking for with your budget" (which is the farthest from the truth, because I've viewed over 20 buildings, all with respectable, albeit typical, brokers). THEN, he said "well, it looks like I'm actually booked up tonight so maybe I'll be in touch later." And then he hung up on me! Seriously who turns away business like that so rudely? I couldn't even ask a question, or see if there's a possibility to even view the apartment. I am so turned off that suddenly I am not even interested in the apartment. I hope other brokers are listing this seemingly nice apartment (I wouldn't know!) because certainly he should not be. I don't understand what caused Dylan to act like that, no professional should ever treat a potential client like that and insult them. I advise no one to ever reach out to him, he does not deserve your business and will insult you! read more

These people care nothing about the properties they manage. 2nd day living there , there were parking issues that took two months to resolve. I was also told i was in a non smoking unit because the air condition units were linked. My neighbors smoked illegal drugs inside which could be smelled in my apartment even after closing vents. I have allergies to smoke which is one reason I moved in after being told it was a non smoking unit. They also send out emails saying you owe them money when you dont cause they are to lazy to check drop box at office after payment was dropped off 3 days prior. They try to change the terms of your contact in the middle of your lease....like requiring you to provide them with your renters insurance....F**k them if you cant get my neighbors to stop doing drugs inside .... go f**k yourselves. They continue to rent two bedroom apartments to unsupected renters and not providing parking for there vehicles. In short if you cant find anywhere to live and you dont care about rules being enforced choose them. If you dont want the drama of shitty neighbors and a rental company that only cares about cashing your check every month. Sign a lease with them tomorrow. A read more

Listen, nobody likes apartment hunting or dealing with brokers. However, Irina was THE BEST. We met a few brokers who showed us things that were clearly not in our criteria. Our first day with Irina she showed us an apartment in a building we LOVED but there were two issues: 1. living room was too small and 2. the low floor made me afraid of having mice. Well, next time we meet with her she shows us two units that meet all of our criteria but we were like "eh." She tells us she has two more places to show us--the first is waterside plaza and is that okay....THIS IS WHY I LOVE HER. We explicitly did not want to live in waterside plaza but unlike all the brokers who tried to trick us into seeing waterside, she asked us before taking us and understood when we said no. Then she said she had another unit to show us in that building we loved the week prior, twice the living room space and on a higher floor. Like, damn, she remembered exactly what I needed. They were able to give us a very reasonable (ha, ha) broker fee. We've been in our new apartment nearly two months and LOVE it. read more

They're frauds. Look closely at the photos of apartments on their website and you'll see that they are other brokers' listings. I scheduled an appointment to view an apartment through the website, they even sent an email asking me to confirm place and time. When I got there to view a 6th floor apartment, I learned from a tenant that there was no 6th floor, no 6 on any of the bells. I called Sami who said that Peter was supposed to meet me. I called Peter at the number Sami texted me, and Peter knew nothing about the listing or the appointment. Neither followed up to admit a mistake in address or take responsibility for a bogus ad. I would highly recommend working with Maureen Dickson. She helped me and my roommate successfully sign a lease after taking us to look at several properties. She was very helpful, professional, worked with us, and even helped us win in a footrace with another couple to put down a deposit to reserve the apartment we were interested in. We were literally running down the street with a few thousand dollars in our pockets to try and get that apartment before another team. The NYC housing market is no joke. The agents will act nice and do whatever they can to rush you into an apartment. They are deceptive about what your money is being used for, and are highly unprofessional with their communication.
