Dr. Streif fitted me with a new mouthguard and sees me regularly for follow-up care. Right off the bat, I began physical therapy with BJ at Creekside PT, which shares an office space with Twin Cities TMJ. The alleviation of my chronic pain is a direct result of Dr. Streif's expertise and the coordination of care between Twin Cities TMJ and Creekside. Without this holistic, integrative approach, I would still be suffering from chronic pain. The continuation of care, knowledge in TMJ and facial pain, and family-like atmosphere at Twin Cities TMJ are all reasons I would recommend this establishment to anyone suffering from facial and/or jaw pain. When Dr. Streif found out my mouthguard had been broken and I could not afford a replacement, he repaired it himself. As a patient, this act of selflessness and dedication to my health journey is appreciated beyond measure. A previous review of this facility makes remarks about a long wait time. I have been to numerous appointments at this clinic, and I only had one experience with a long wait time. As a healthcare consumer, I value experiences wherein my providers: - take their time gathering a detailed health history; - address all of my concerns; - and formulate pragmatic, evidence-based, and integrative care plans. When I visit a health clinic, I know I'm not at a retail store, restaurant, or other consumer-based business. I am making an investment in my health and I am trusting in another person to make important decisions about my wellbeing. It is disheartening to see that so many adults think healthcare organizations should be consumer-based, fast-paced, and instantly gratifying institutions, as if their value was synonymous with a social media application or a food-delivery service. I was told my tooth could have chipped much worse. This office didn't perform my original root canal, but I've been a patient here for several years for routine care. I was surprised that the need for crowns on these teeth was never mentioned or discussed during my visits. The staff has always been kind, but I wish there had been more proactive communication about protecting previously treated teeth so I could have avoided an unexpected emergency.
