The total cost was 50% of what other companies quoted! I repeat, I have NEVER been happier and I recommend Toronto Movers as the only company I will trust, 100%. Thank you very much

Customer service, trust, and unbeatable communication. The Major Move boxes are genius. I used them…read moreto store my items when completing a renovation on my home. They delivered the boxes promptly providing some storage tips. I also recommended them to many of my clients of which all had mega positive things to say about Andrew and Nora. Moving is one of my least things to do, but I did enjoy my interaction with everyone at Major Move. Trusted movers!

Major Move is above and beyond the best moving company we have ever experienced. We used them for…read morean inter-city move in Toronto and also used their plastic moving bins for our packing. I can't say enough positive things about how wonderful Andrew and his team were! But here were some of my favorite things: * The company is more affordable than the majority of others we considered. What's more, they actually came in UNDER their quote on moving day, and lowered the price for us accordingly. * With other moving companies in the past, I have felt constantly on edge: worried that they would take advantage of us, worried that they would be careless with our stuff, etc. Andrew and his team were the opposite: they were SO kind, genuine, friendly, open, and careful! They were professional and efficient, and also truly enjoyable to be around on the day of the move. All of the movers were genuinely lovely people and did a fantastic job wrapping, protecting, and moving our furniture and other belongings. * Their plastic moving boxes are a godsend. You don't have to spend a zillion hours assembling and then breaking down a ton of cardboard, and don't produce all that trash. Their kitchen boxes were especially great - rather than taking countless hours to individually wrap each cup, plate, etc., we just placed them- unwrapped! - directly into the boxes (which have special slots) and they came out unscathed. In short, I would highly, highly recommend Major Move!

Pick this company for moving, the other Yelpers were correct!…read more Tiam is quick in response and easy to correspond with. His team mates were all very friendly, courteous and polite. They are punctual and work non stop even though I kept asking if they need to break for lunch and offered water and snacks! I thought I packed well(proper bins and HD boxes) and the move would take 5 hours but 7 hours later was normal for a 2 bedroom, 1.5 detached house. I blame the garage/shed but these guys kept moving everything out and playing Tetris with the boxes until the truck fit everything in neatly, safely to the very very top. For some items they wrapped the blanket all around and taped it secure without us needing to request it. Really appreciate that attention to detail and care, despite some being IKEA furniture, they treated everything with care. They made it to new house first as we still had to tidy before leaving ourselves and we found they had started unloading the garage items already, without us having to instruct them, wow awesome! They unrolled sturdy foam rubber like mats on the hallways and stairs to protect the hardwood floor and asked for directions to move items I forgot to label or map. They even offered to stay and help us unpack or assemble if needed. Only downside which isn't a biggie was - he forgot the tablet to process the bill so it got emailed next day but I paid him all cash (credit has 3% processing fee) which makes anyone nervous there was no proof - one long tv shelf got scratched (ikea) it didn't get wrapped completely but Tiam was very apologetic and offered compensation which was appreciated I will be using this company again this year as we are doing renos and need to move stuff around one more time. Happy moving!

We were very pleased with New Era Moving and would certainly recommend them. Nick's customer…read moreservice is second to none, reasonably priced, booked and executed in days, and the guys were great too- wrapped everything up, very pleasant and professional. My only criticism is that they didn't communicate that they were going for lunch between pick-up and delivery, but that seems to have been a miscommunication. Otherwise, couldn't be happier with the service. We recently used a different company so can compare. Can't go wrong with New Era Moving!

I recently hired this company for a move and it was a long distance move which Era was recommend to…read moreme for the long distance haul. The home review was fine it was determined that a large item needed to be hired out to another company for the safety of their employees and the basement stairs had a curve. The item weighed 200 lbs and square, smaller than a freezer of which they would have moved. it took 2 guys 3 mins to lift it up 13 stairs and cost me 1000.00. The home move went quickly I was extremely organized I had all boxes sealed and colour coded and tagged. I separated small items that I would take on one side of the room and told the gentleman that tagged everything so he didn't tag it. The crew was very efficient and respectful. While I expect slight breakage I did not expect to not be told of breakage and certainly didn't expect missing items. We did have a couple of small items broken but nothing that was earth shattering. I was missing a lamp which was a big item to find out weeks later that there was a broken lamp in the truck and they didn't even take it out or tell me. I would have liked to have known as I may have fixed it if possible as it was part of a set. I was also missing 2 remotes for ceiling fans that should have stayed with the old house and when I realized they were gone I figured that's ok they probably left them in a drawer and I can mail them back to the new owners. One was found in a drawer the other has never been found. Now I am responsible to replace the fan because it is deemed not in working order. I am also missing all sorts of small stuff, shelves for inside of cabinets, some were taped together, some were left in cabinets, some were loose. As well as the plugs that hold up the shelves. Missing wheels for cabinets, knobs taken off cabinets to move it. The movers were so inconsistent on how they handled stuff. I am fine if they have to remove stuff or not have stuff rattling around but then Get a box, bag or container and put all this stuff in one spot so it can be sorted out at the back end. It is so frustrating to be missing stuff that can not be replaced. What was worse was they way it was handled after the fact. Sadly you spend weeks unpacking and keep finding stuff so even if you did find something missing it's too late. However the way it was handled at the head office was interesting, lots of agreement of inconsistencies, and I am sorry and no excuse for not letting you know etc., but all I really wanted was to hear "let me contact our driver to see if he has a box in his truck with all the weird loose things he may have found in the truck" or let me ask my guys if they saw the remote. It was lovely lip service but no assistance. Oddly I don't want money for these items because I can't replace them but if they are not at the old house and not at the new house then they have to be in the truck or in someone's pocket and not on purpose but in error put in a pocket to put it somewhere in the truck and forgotten and perhaps taken home. You are not going to tell me that these items were not left on the truck somewhere. I was not even able to look over the truck for review as all the blankets removed from my furniture were in a big pile waiting to be folded and empty boxes all over. the truck wasn't fit to be perused and the driver was running out of time for driving/being on the road as per truck driving laws so he was quickly putting stuff together here as his crew had to leave and go to another job. Again the crew were great guys, different at both ends but the ones at the first house were so inconsistent with small items even big items were handled differently. I paid a 5 figure amount for this move I expected more from the company as far as assistance. i was told they would get back to me and I even sent a follow up and I haven't heard a word. So I guess they have my money, sent me the obligatory sorry letter and now I guess they are done with me. I guess I just expected better, had they reached out to me via telephone instead of email I would have told them I wasn't interested in money but a simple follow up to the crew if anyone remembered anything about where they might have put stuff or if they have a big box where they put all odds and sods they don't know which move it was from. We are all human and make mistakes, it's how you handle them that shows what you are made of.
