Metro Waste/Frontier Waste raised their fee without notice by 27% . I then decided to change service providers and cancel with Metro/Frontier waste and spoke to a representative and then I was required to speak to a manager as well to cancel. When I called to confirm my refund was being processed I was notified of a $55 cancellation fee. I told the representative I was never made aware of this fee at any point from signing up to cancellation. I asked if it was written in their contract, website, anywhere or verbally made aware to the customer at any point in which I was told no it's just their policy. Worst company I've ever worked with and if you use them you should make the switch to one of the many more affordable companies who doesn't cheat people out of money. read more

I had to abruptly find a new trash company after Warrior let down it's customers and Metro Waste answered my call and quickly got me set up for service! The rep was helpful, the drivers and pick up employees have been great so far and I got my new bins pretty quick! Thankful they could get my services started so quickly and pretty seem less! read more

Since Metro was bought out by Frontier it's been a sh-t show. We play trash Russian Roulette every week. Will they show up on Monday or will they skip us again? Two weeks in a row, our garbage has not been picked up. As soon I can, I'm switching back to Tiger. read more

This company charged me in advance for a bulk pick up of 3 items. It was reasonable price so I agreed. Only one item was picked up. I called for pickup to finish the job. Nothing happened. I called for bill adjustment they said send us pictures. I did that. Nothing happened. Then they lost our electronic payment for services and it took month for them to find in their own system. They added a late charge to my bill. I called again today they deducted the late charge they added and called that "the best we can do" They never picked up the remaining items that were prepaid. They refused to adjust the bill and then told me the only way I could cancel their services would be to pay 3 months in advance and they would refund it when they picked up their bins. They can't even get a 3 item bulk pick up correct. If you have a choice don't use these people read more

Metro is family. They're friendly, there when you need them, and always do the right thing. It doesn't hurt that they're pricing and level of service is better than the rest. Thanks Metro team for being there for me! read more

This company has the WORST customer service involving commucation/service. If this company was not the sole provided in the neighborhood I would definitely switch. On multiple occasions, they have displayed issues collecting trash and providing accurate information to paying customers for changes in policy. Latest issue but not rare. The company randomly stopped picking up extra bags/broken down cardboard boxes that doesn't fit into the bin. Initially when signing up they explained you are allowed this service. After a couple of weeks of trash being left behind, I called the company. As NORMAL you are waiting for 45-60 mins to talk to a representative (not being dramatic I have screen shots within a week span of multiple attempts to talk to someone which they blame customers for all calling in for billing issues for the long wait times. Not believable due to having this issue since December of last year of long wait times. Now for this certain issue the first representative explained they made changes to their policy as of last month. Well for weeks straight I have seen plenty of homes with bags/boxes not being pick up. I asked when and how did the company informed us of the changes? Oh through flyers and emails, we also sent a copy to the HOA. I requested a copy of that email, never received one and visited our HO office and they NEVER received one as well but received multiple complaints from the neighborhood. Waited another week to confirmed this information for our next trash day. My neighbor left 3-5 bags outside of his bins and they were picked up with ZERO issues. Called once more, requested to speak to upper management, I was told he will give me a call back within the hour (10am). Obviously this phone called never happened so I called back (3pm. Then I was told he only returns phone calls either at the end of the day or the following day. If he doesn't call you back (which they never do) you have no choice but to call again after 2 business days. Even requested the company's email address to CC the HO/Builder of the issues to be addressed. The representative informed me "we don't have a email to give to you". I don't know how this company is receiving good reviews but these have to be bots or paid individuals to post those because this company has yet to resolve or give solutions of issues. read more

Extremely inconsistent and rude. They literally make up rules as they go. Now I remember why I left the first time

So you get yourself on Auto Debit and presume your trash/recycle will be AUTOMATICALLY picked up. But that is not the case 2 times in the last month they either take some off the top of our recycle or don't pick it up at all. You call to tell them and they say they're guys picked it up and even have the nerve to tell you at what time. So essentially the customer is being called a liar. I have just about hit my limit with this company. read more

The worst ever service this year. I switched from Tiger Trash because they kept increasing fees year after year. Well, Metro Waste jacked up their fees 10% this year and the service has been abysmal. Three times they have cancelled recycle pick up on Mondays and twice I caught them combining regular and recycled trash in the same truck. I have emailed them several times to express my anger for their pathetic excuses. I will go back to Tiger Trash or try Warrior Disposal. read more

Very happy with their service!  They are an honest family owned business.  They've always gone out of their way to make sure that I've had great service.  I forgot to put my bins out and called, they were still in the area and came back, no problems. Watch out for these crooks. Laurie (sp?) will cancel your service out of spite, will pick up trash bin and not communicate. A refund is only processed after you bug them about it at least a couple of times. Meaning they keep your money hostage until you threaten with a chargeback through your bank. C-6 is way better, they actually communicate with customers when there are issues with anything and they actually pick up the trash. If they miss it, they come same day-- no questions asked. Do not expect this from metro waste. All these other positive reviews, are no joke, probably friends of theirs. This is a family owned and operated company afterall, they do what they want. read more

VERY POOR SERVICE, poor customer service, managers are very rude

I really wanted to love them due to price & when I called to sign up the lady was helpful & explained their services to me. We had tiger before & their prices had steadily gone up so I made the switch. Well turns out the $70 ish dollars I pay per quarter sounds like a good deal but they will nickel & dime you for everything & their employees can pick & choose what they pick up. When I first signed up I requested bulky pick up of some couches. I paid upfront & we put them out the day before pickup. Well some passerbye picked them up so metro was off the hook. I didnt bother to call them for a refund. It was $20 , not a big deal. I figure some days I will have more trash then others so I didn't mind giving them the extra $20. So now comes today , we put out extra trash, because we order from amazon a lot & have tons of boxes. Well their drivers refused to take them & when i called customer service I was told we have to call & report each & every item that we put out & its considered bulky trash $5 a box/bag. Had I been told this when I signed up, I would have never signed up for service. Super inconvenient to have to call in & report your trash & on top of that prepay every extra box that you put out. I was then told I could bring it in for free....as if I wasnt paying them to pick up my trash already. I thought that was the understanding...I pay you for your service & you in return provide the service. We put out a christmas tree & a pallet as well &was told that needed to be paid for. I dont mind paying for the pallet/christmas tree but paying $15 extra dollars for a few boxes is absurd. As absurd as it would be if I requested a refund for the week I skipped taking out my trash or when there's only 2 bags in my trash can. As a customer , I wouldn't have the audacity to ask for a refund for those days my trash is half empty or not put out at all & I expect that the company would in return understand that some days we will have more trash then others. I am attaching pictures so you can see the "bulky" items for yourselves. If anything I'm glad I discovered this now & not after the Christmas holiday when we (like a bunch of other families) have an abundance of trash. I would like to add that Tiger sanitation was charging $90 per quarter but we never had issues with them in the 5 years of service they provided our family. I will be switching back. You get what you pay for and in this case, if you have a family of more then 4-5 , then i would not recommend metro waste . read more

Excellent friendly service. We moved from having Tiger, and could not be happier. Tiger was charging us more than our neighbors down the street, by as much as $30. We actually are saving money! Thank you Metro! Could not be happier. Never a missed pickup, and they close the lid and don't leave it in the middle of the driveway. Just go beyond what they need to do! read more

I just started with them and they seem awesome. The old company I had dropped service in my area and the last day for their pickup was the first day for the pickup with Metro. Metro took the trash from the old companies cans. I told them that the old company is still picking up today but the guy said that's alright they are there. That is awsome. Then I noticed they have a bulk pickup so I called to see how much it would cost to have a loveseat picked up and they are only charging me $16 for it. Where these junk pickup companies where charging almost 100. Is it OK to love your trash company? I am beginning to think so read more

I put out my recycle this past Wednesday the 20th of December, when I came home from work it was not removed. I called only to find out that they has closed at 4pm. So I called on Thursday before closing and I was told by the young lady in the office that the driver put on his report that the can was not out. Well That is a flat out lie!! I left for work at 6am and the can was there and ready for pick up. I asked to be called back by a manager was told that one was not available but they will call me back even if it is the next morning. I ask what is my phone number you have on file and the young lady spewed out a number that was not mine. I gave her my correct number and she assured me that my number was updated. I was called back by the same young lady on Thursday and she re-stated that the recycle was not picked up because the was not out. I explained to her again that is incorrect the can was out at 6am because it was out as I leave for work about 6am 6:15 am at the latest. I call this morning and speak with the office manager and she again informs me that the recycle was not picked up because the can was not out. I asked to speak to her manager and she spouts out I am the manager here. I asked to speak to her boss and ask for her name. she states "I am not going to give you my name but I will have the operations manager call you". I ask what is the phone number on file. She gives me the same wrong number that I was told the day before. I asked why was my account not updated as I had requested the day before. I get well it wasn't done. Ok, at this point I see I am not going to get any where and I ask for it to be picked up and not charged. Recycle is a free service but we can contact the driver and ask them to pick it up as trash. I say that is fine but you are going to charge me for that aren't you? Yes we are going to charge you because the recycle is being picked up as trash. How in the world are you going to charge me when I was not the one the screwed this up. I ask will the can be picked up today? She tells me yes. I end the call. I ask to have the operations manager to call me. I get a call back about 10 minutes later from the office, I am informed that the recycle was not picked up because it was heavy and had dirty in the container... Where is this coming from? She states that the driver contacted the office to let them know that was the reason in the 1st place that the recycle was not picked up? I ask so why did you and another worker in the office state from the drivers notes that can was not out so it was not picked up. all I get is the driver remembered now and he has a lot of houses that they pick up. Ok I get that there are many houses out there and it is a busy time but how are you going to note on you daily report that the can was not out and it is stated again by the office and then when he has to go back and pick it up (keep in mind that I am going to be charged for this pick up) he remembers that this can was heavy and it had dirt in it.... C'mon!!!! well I asked to have my service terminated today and I still wanted a call from the operations manager. Don't lie to me and expect to get my business! I am called by Hector of Metro waste. He explains that they are using a new system that does not allow them to put in the actual reason why a can is not picked up, it defaults to the can was not out??? Well it does not matter at this point my service is cancelled I am charged for the pick and the office can just lie to their customers. I will not use them again read more
