Great local theatre! Tickets are reasonable. Free parking on the street. There is a bar upstairs.

It's a place where powerful storytelling, artistic innovation, and human connection converge. I left the theatre inspired, moved, and already planning my next visit. The theatre is modern, comfortable and very well designed, with excellent views of the stage from any seat. The theatre itself is stunning, with a beautiful, classic interior that adds to the whole experience. The space manages to feel both grand and intimate, with a thoughtful design that invites you to slow down, observe, and soak in the welcoming energy. The staff were outstanding! Very helpful, courteous and professional. A perfect venue for an unforgettable show. The place is so well maintained that it really enhanced the experience!! Annie certainly lived up to expectations! Tears, laughter and dancing- what could be better? There is so much talent in the cast of Annie. The cast brought so much heart and energy to the story! The cast were just unbelievable and made the show what it is. This heartwarming holiday musical is full of hope, resilience and heart! It's so energetic and wholesome. From the catchy songs to the amazing cast, this production will leave you smiling long after the curtain closes! Amazing talent, wonderful story, beautiful music! Pure joy from start to finish! After more than 2 hours, when it ends, you just want more! Can't speak highly enough of it! Words fail me to describe the spectacle we saw that evening. Everything about this show was magical. Days later and I was still whistling the songs. The show is contagious! It is impossible not to smile, sing, or swing your head at the rhythm of the dances. An unforgettable experience that unites joy, nostalgia and the excellence of Richmond's Gateway Theatre. From the first note all the way through to the end, this is an unforgettable show. I could easily have walked out of the doors and back in for another performance. We were all up and dancing at the end and came out of the theatre with big grins on our faces. I recommend without hesitation. If you haven't grabbed your tickets yet, don't wait until "Tomorrow" - get them now before they're gone! ...and expect to be singing some great songs on your way home from the show!

I remember watching it myself many years ago when I was a young girl and as she and I have read quite a few of the "Anne" books together, I felt she'd enjoy the show just as much as I did.  The show was wonderful but I was a bit put off by how late the performance started. Start time for the show was supposed to be 1:00pm but the show didn't actually start until nearly 20 minutes. I was also not impressed with the system for getting refreshments during intermission. The lineup to get a drink/snack was insanely long and didn't seem to be moving. My daughter and I gave up after awhile and just back to our seats. I noticed a sign which indicated that one could pre-order drinks for intermission. I wonder how many other people saw this sign. I think it would have been nice if they'd advertised that option a bit more.  Overall, an enjoyable experience. We came to see the show so that's what mattered most and the show was wonderfully done. The experience could have been just a bit more enjoyable though if the show had started on time and if there had been a better system in place for people to get refreshments during intermission.  Service: Fair Parking: Paid parking Location: 6500 Gilbert Rd., right next to the Richmond Hospital

Sarkar perform magic with my late grandpa -- a deeply nostalgic and special feeling. We sat in the couple VIP seats, and the showmanship was exceptional. You can choose what magic will be performed in the show when you seat in these seats. The 75 minutes flew by. The secret location and the unique way you enter make the entire experience feel immersive from the very beginning. Truly one of a kind and a must-visit in New Westminster. The ambience has a flapper-era vibe, perfect for photos. So, definitely dress nicely, as there are great photo opportunities. Popcorn and pops are available, but honestly, you won't want to eat because you won't want to take your eyes off the magician, Shawn Farquhar for a second.

You are brought into the back one group at a time where you may purchase snacks and take pictures (i.e. the famous bathtub). The theatre is small and intimate, and there is truly no bad seat in the house. Shawn was personable, funny, and took the time to try and include every single audience member in some way. Available street parking in the evening. Overall, it was perfect for an unforgettable date night or an evening with friends. Highly recommended!

I loved how they made the classic in to a radio show, it was the perfect choice, I really enjoyed being taken back to an era gone by. The other one was great too, truthful and well preformed. The space is certainly different, but the sets were both so unique, I was amazed to see them work that kind of magic in that space. Sometimes going to the theater feels like taking a risk, I feel confident that next time I come see a show here it will be good one again.

The theatre space sees the audiences seperated into two sides (about 50 seats on each), with the play's action take placing a a comparatively small aisle space in between. The result of this set-up is a heightened awareness of the work's theatricality (one is looking at other audience members, after all), but also a greater sense of involvement, as there is no proscenium or great divide separating audience from actor. We came by on a Friday afternoon and purchase the $20 package for (if I remember correctly) 105 "points" to play with. Each machine can take anywhere from 12 to 21 (there may be a higher cost one that we missed) "points" for each attempt. I will say that we VERY quickly went through the $20, and the hubby ended up getting another $20 reload and asked if one of the games could be reset. The employee was very nice and helped reset the game, and we were (eventually) able to win one of the plushes! It's a clean area, and it seems to be a favorite for groups of friends and couples. The plushes are cute, and some are available for purchase (if you just have to have it!). I wouldn't mind going back again, though my heart dropped each time the claw grabbed the toy and immediately dropped it instead of moving to the chute with it. :') It's in the Aberdeen Centre, 2nd story!
