The architecture is quite stunning in this affluent little neighborhood, a church, eats, parks, Zizkov hill nearby, the ugly Černy TV tower. To the city centre, but a short ride away. Of all the metros, probably came to this one the most in my two trips over there.

There were a few places to shop in here, as you go through the area before catching the subway trains. The subway lets you out in front of a park with interesting sculptures that sort of work in with the design of the subway station. Large rock, marble and aluminium metal. The walls of the actual platform look like Lego pieces! The signs are pretty clear, and the ticket machine is easy to use. The trains haul it from one station to the next quickly. This was a nice station to get around. This station is mentioned in a Radiohead song "A Reminder," when the announcer calls out this station at the beginning of the song!

Nice and convenient metro station not far from Old Town…read more The station serves as an interchange point between lines A and B, situated under the lower end of Wenceslas Square. Each line has a separate set of platforms which are connected by a series of corridors. From here you can get to many parts of the city, including the Lesser Town, where our hotel was.

The platform area is pretty with silver and gold signage. This station does have a lift signposted at each entrance, but you are able to use steps, which I prefer as it seems to be a given that subway station lifts stink of urine. As with any Metro Station in Prague, remember to buy a ticket before you board using the ticket machines. They have an English language if you prefer. You must also validate this ticket before boarding. Unlike other subway systems, there aren't traditional ticket gates, so don't get caught out or you'll risk a large fine. It acts as an interchange station between Lines A and B, and I did find it straightforward to get both in and out of the station and between lines if needed using the steps and escalators. I'm not sure about the lift route, but with they were well-signposted. 3* - Pretty average station along the Prague Metro network, the location is useful.

The location of the station is good for tourists wishing to visit Charles Bridge, as it is just a short walk away from one of Prague's most crowded tourist attractions. The overall layout/look/feel of the stop is typical to most other stations on the network, no thrills, even down to the departure boards which I found a little confusing but it does the trick, as you're not going to have to spend long here waiting for a service. It is also an unstaffed station. It is easy to follow the layout of the station as long as you're able to head down the steps from street level to the platform due to a lack of a lift. PRO TIP: Remember the Prague Metro REQUIRES a ticket but lacks a ticket gate, remember to purchase and validate your ticket from the machines by the entrance or risk a large fine. The platform area is pleasant with red moulds. 3*

While it does have escalators, it is not handicapped accessible. It is located under Kaprova street in the Old Town district near the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Rudolfinum nearby. There are ticket vending kiosks and ticket validation machines but it is not a staffed station. [Review 12248 overall, 2032 of 2019.]

The location is a short walk away from the Hilton Prague. The Metro Station its-self isn't too attractive, I do like the artwork on the platforms which adds a bit more boldness and uniqueness, as is typical at most of the Metro stations I used during my time in Prague. I did not notice any lifts, however, there are escalators provided. The escalators are really fast though, I was shocked getting on them for the first time and almost fell, so you do need to get on a steady step quickly, it did feel a little unsafe but on the other hand it did speed up entry to the platforms. Reasonable Metro station that provides connections to other modes of public transportation, or more central into Prague in very little time, while being useful for guests at hotels nearby including the Hilton. 3*

Unlike the bigger stations closer to Prague city center, this one is further out - about 30 to 35 mins from City Center; and there are very few shops in the station on the lower level. Connected to this metro station are buses to take you to different areas. This is where I go to catch the bus that goes to one of the IKEAs (IKEA Černý Most). It is one bus designated strictly for IKEA - bus #12 - downstairs and to the right. The IKEA bus runs regularly and, of course, returns you to the metro station. It is a short ride - about 7 minutes. This bus is also good to take if you are going to the Centrum Černý Most - huge mall located next door to IKEA. If you need pictures for passports or any other Prague ID, you can find a photobooth at the entrance on the Zličín side where you can take the pics. It is 100CZK cash or coins and the machine WILL NOT give back change, so use correct amount.
