This is my Google Review as well. Negative Stars are not available. I recently closed out a claim with Metro Public Adjustment, and based on my experience, I would not hire this company again. The first few weeks went smoothly, but after that the process became extremely frustrating and dragged on for nearly a year. Communication from my assigned adjuster became very limited, and most of the time I was left doing the follow-ups myself. When I asked questions about missing money and delays, I was told it was the insurance company. When I spoke to the insurance company, they said they were waiting on Metro. I spent months stuck in the middle trying to get answers. For the last 4+ months of the claim, I did almost all of the work myself -- including follow-ups, reviewing estimates, checking totals, gathering documentation, and communicating with the insurance company. I repeatedly asked why there was a large amount of money missing from the claim, and after getting vague answers, I ended up finding the discrepancy myself by going through the paperwork line by line. At one point I escalated the situation, and a director got involved and helped push the claim to closure within a few weeks. While I appreciate that step, it does not change the fact that the claim sat unresolved for months while I was doing the work that I hired Metro to do. One fee was waived, but the company still collected the majority of their percentage even though most of the effort, research, and communication was done by me. What makes this even more frustrating is that after doing most of the work myself, I still ended up owing money in fees. It feels like I paid a percentage for someone to collect a check rather than actually represent me. I hired a public adjuster because I was told it would reduce stress and make the process easier. In my case, it did the opposite. The only reason this claim finally closed is that I pushed it forward myself. My honest advice -- stay involved, read your policy, ask questions, and don't assume the adjuster is handling everything. In my situation, I could have saved a significant amount of money by doing the work myself. I would not use this company again. read more

My 92 mother had a leak and her insurance company told her it wasn't covered. Metro came out and discovered not only was her living room ceiling damaged but her dining room walls were also impacted. Metro took care of documenting what needed repairs and managed all the back and forth with her insurance company. They took a denied claim and turning it into being paid to make her repairs. I recommend them to help if your elderly parents have problems or anyone that may need help. read more

-0 stars this company is a scam they take more then what they need and leave you with Pennie's and promises of an unfixed home. Jamal didn't notify me of any steps in the process only when the check came was he present. If I could give a negative 5-Star, I would. These con artists put me through hell for half a year. Just got my Case-Closed letter today, Oct 21st, 2024, they finally gave-up, renigged on all their fake promises, wasted half a year of my life with their lies. Absolute, disgusting con artists, starting with Anthony Scheirer, The Insurance Claim Guy on Youtube (Public Adjusters), who told me they just replaced his entire HVAC system and they could do the same for me. I'm out $17,000.00 at 14%. FN Bullcrap company and sales rep con artists! Thanks for nothing. read more

Would be No stars if possible! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I can not say it enough!! They are Scammers! They took much of the money the insurance company finally paid out! Then they came after a percentage of the monies I was paid prior to even hiring them. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY They waste your time for months and when you want to be released from your contract because of this, they completely ignore you. Still waiting!! These scammers claim to take 30% of your settlement then afterwards claim you need to also hire an attorney through them for an additional amount. They are very friendly upfront but afterwards don't care for you as a client when you need them during the process. Ignoring calls and emails. Brian was HORRIBLE. Never use a private insurance company! Especially this one! I had a flood in my business basement due to neglect on the landlord in June. They finally approved a settlement and then said I had to pay more for the removal of my damaged property!! They said I would get my limit that was 20,000 and took out their profit and want to charge me an additional 25,000 towards the disposal!!!! After multiple emails with 0 response I found out my agent only looks at the email and doesn't read them!!! so when I finally got a response to one of my emails, his assistant did not know who I was!! I am so aggravated Now I am only getting 8,000 instead of 10,000 to pay for the bill!!!!! I didn't get the 20,000 from the claim only 14,000! I bunch of complete unprofessional people making money off of hard working small businesses!!! I had a claim on my home in November 2022. Brian Simms was the adjuster, (he was the absolute BEST) and Tami Young was my Claims representative. Metro took quite a while to pay the claim, but gee was it worth it . I could have never been more satisfied. Insurance companies are so unfair, and refuse to pay our claims especially after paying such high premiums for so many many years. Contacted Metro Public Adjusters to assist with my claim after Florance. The insurance company only offered me, will use round numbers, 40k. Metro came in and told me that they would send in an adjuster review insurance companies inspection. Now this is where it is important, both the representative Ken and the adjuster Wayne told me Metro would take 10% of any additional money that Metro would be able to get me for my claim. WARNING: BEWARE: Metro Public Adjusters will lie to you and mislead you to make a buck. Their "salesmen" adjusters don't care about helping you, they only care about making money off of your misfortune. I've used Metro Public Adjustment for damage on three occasions and was very happy with the outcome on all issues. First I had a leaky pipe in the waiting room of my Chiropractic office. I talked to Aaron Stutman, a public adjuster in my business club that worked for Metro and he said he would take a look at the problem. He studied the cause of the leak which was our central drain pipe that had sprung a leak from age and he evaluated damages it caused. He also discovered that a drain pipe from my upstairs bathroom had also caused damage and he ultimately filed both claims as one thus bypassing a second deductible. An expert auditor from the company came and added up the damages. They were professional and did all of the legwork in addition to meeting with the insurance company adjuster. I would not have been inclined to file a claim if it weren't for Aaron and Metro taking care of everything. A second problem I had was my air conditioner downstairs. The pan was rusted and that caused a leak that went all over my cellar. There was damage to the tiles. After the good experience I had with the first leak, I called Aaron again and he looked it over while making no promises. They negotiated again with the insurance company and we made a decent recovery. I again would not have had the time or perseverance to have made a claim on my own and followed through with the paperwork. Aaron and Metro again did all of the work and I just had to sign the check. A third issue I had and by far the most expensive was damage to my roof from wind. I went out the door after one of our recent serious wind storms perhaps related to climate changes only to discover a handful of shingles on my front lawn. I thought I might try to have a few of the shingles replaced, but then remembered that Aaron had mentioned roof repair at one of our meetings. I asked him about it and again he said he couldn't promise anything but that he would look into it. He went up on the roof with our public adjuster after having his own people review the problem and he asked me to get an estimate on the repair. He also suggested including our 2 large sheds in the repair and I agreed that if he could that would be fantastic. One of my patients has a great reputation for quality roof repair so I got an estimate from him and Aaron took it to our insurance company. A short time later, I got a check covering 4/5 of the work. I had the job done, it looks great and Aaron got them to send me another check. At this point I just about broke even and it included both of my sheds. The building looks great and once again they did all of the work. I can't thank Aaron and Metro enough for their professional help. read more

Please take some time out this weekend and upcoming week and look at your home/rental insurance policies. Also, assist your love ones because a lot of us are not covered at all or under covered. If you have any questions please feel free to inbox me. FYI, a lot of us are paying monthly premiums with "out of this world deductibles" because the higher your deductible the lower your monthly premiums. But if you have to file a claim you then can't afford that $3,000-$10,000+ deductible upfront. Yes, not $300+, $3,000+. Yet, you was paying for your policy for 10+ years. Sorry I didn't read the reviews prior to hiring Metro Public Adjustment (MPA). Did they do what they were essentially hired to do - Yes Would I use them again or recommend them - No Long story short, they have the worst communication of any company I have ever encountered. When dealing with the largest investment many have, their home, communication is vital. Metro Public Adjustment doesn't really agree. My claim dragged on for over a year primarily because they became unresponsive to phone calls and emails. I never knew the status of my claim. They sent an appraiser from a company in PA versus finding one in MD. And since they were coming from PA felt they could contact me the night, not even 24 hours notice, for them to come and appraise the damage. Scheduled the appraisal for a few days later. The insurance company finally paid, but due to the amount of the damage, my lender had to sign off on the payment. MPA sent the check which I forwarded to the lender. The lender needed further documentation that MPA received, but never forwarded. When I attempted to contact MPA I had to leave a message and instead of sending what I needed, they contacted the insurance company, had the check that the lender now had voided and a new one issued, for no apparent reason, which they sent to me with a copy of everything that I already had and not what the lender needed. That took another 10 days and was only resolved when my insurance company rep emailed MPA and requested permission to release the information. After MPA received the signed check from the lender and myself, I was notified that the check was voided and I needed to send the other check. Finally, the check is signed and my funds are released. I was already aware that MPA was going to take 35% of any funds that I received, but what I was never informed of was the cost for the appraiser, the one from PA. I was charged not only for the service, but his travel to and from PA. When I called and inquired, I was passed from voice mail to voice mail and no one ever returned a phone call or subsequent email. Read your insurance policy and fight your own claim, just don't use Metro Public Adjustment. read more

Acquired Metro to see how well their company could assist my clients with their claims - hoping they would able to aid my clients better than previous sources/methods. They were on multiple types and sizes of claims. The gent I met with who first introduced me to Metro (Anthony Scheirer) ensured me of his expertise and skills. I trusted him and gave him the opportunity to meet with my clients. Came to discover he overpromise, pointed out obvious wear and tear as new damages those I foolishly allowed him to meet. I personally witnessed him overpromise and claim items to be new damage (when it was not) on a number of times towards the end of my relationship with Metro. The guy claimed to be an adjuster. He never actually adjuster a single claim. He was simply a paper pusher/salesman/ Multi-level Marketing (a.k.a. pyramid scheme) recruiter. The client who first tipped me off to his shady ways did not use Metro and wound up with at least 70% more than those who trusted Metro. They failed at getting proper coverages for my clients. Some adjusters simply stopped contacting my clients wholly. Even the smallest of items they couldn't get coverage. My 6 figure church claim, which Scott Wolfertz. handled, was an absolute disaster. The guy had no clue he wasn't negotiating with the carrier's actual adjuster until he put me on the phone to do his job for him. Yes, in order for him to get results, he had to have me do his job... He got paid due to the efforts of the one who hired him.... This should have been a multiple six figure claim, but nope. Lack of education and professionalism ruined this one too. Our company lost out on easily 80k due to this company. But it was our clients who took the biggest hit because Metro's adjusters failed or didn't even attempt to have our client's policy properly recognized by the insurance carrier. I could continue on, but I believe my displeasure has been made clear. I highly doubt I will trust this company again. read more

If you ever get the chance to work with Metro Public Adjusters.....RUN! as fast and as far away as possible!! They are out to get YOUR money. They "assist" you when you are at your most vulnerable, promise you big settlements, then take more than a third of your money! In my case for not doing anything....it was my contractor who finally got my insurance company to pay...not Metro. When I asked if they could take a tiny bit less so I could get started on my roof.....the answer was a very quick "no..you signed a contract". They dont respond to phone calls, they make promises they don't keep, leave you hanging, then take your money and claim that THEY are the ones who helped. So very disgusted with this company and my treatment by them. No wonder they aren't registered with the BBB. read more

These people are scam artist!! They took 35% of an insurance check that it took me 6 months to settle due to MPA lack of response to my insurance company. Only after I notified the insurance commission about my claim being prolonged, did they attempt to do something. I have email read notices from September, my claim was made in March. They did absolutely nothing and still took my insurance money. This claim drug out so long my insurance agency canceled me. This was the only claim I have had in the 21 years I have owned my house. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF! I was approached by a nice and wonderful individual, but pretty much everyone else at this company were soooo awful. They do not help you in any way, just make you take a class to become a public adjuster and in class, the one individual who was presenting was just sooo awful and soooo rude, the giveaway prize was a folder for presentation and the way to get it was by making the most phone calls and setting up the most appointments. It was just beyond awful and unfair because no one even got licensed yet and all that. The other guy who I remember was Harold Wells and he was very vague in presenting the company and such. His basic presentation was "if you treat the work as a worker you get paid, if you treat it as a hobby, you end up paying for it". I was gonna get licensed, but I saw that it would have just been a waste and based on all other reviews, it's mostly what being a public adjuster with Metro is, a total waste. read more

Never knew I could make a claim on accidentally damaging a floor in my own home! When I got my home owners policy reviewed for free I had no idea what was really in it for me. Now, I know what it means to know a public adjuster. They work for what's in my best interest. The home insurance company wants to limit my claim amount and the public adjuster wants me to have all that I'm entitled to. And the adjuster even told me what gaps I had in my home owners coverage. I had a small leak in my house that caused major damage and did not even know that my insurance could cover it. The adjuster from metro came out and she is amazing. She knows her stuff! She was able to pinpoint the source of the leak within moments even though my own plumber couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I am working with Dessy now and she is helping me weed through the crazy maze of insurance red tape. And if that wasn't enough, she literally saved my life. She opened the basement door to look at the floor and told me she smelled a gas leak. I had PGW come over and they told me that it was an active leak and if I would've lit a match down there I could've blown my house up. First, I did not seek out Metro. a neighbor came by to talk about his employer Metro and noting water damage promised to take care of it. He did call my insurance company who in turn sent the check to my mortgage company. Metro did not indicate this would happen. It necessitated another estimate, paper work etc. many problems ensued. Metro got the check. The contractor billed Metro for work done. Metro subtracted the amount I would be charged and paid the contractor the lesser amount. Said contractor threatened me with a lien and demanded immediate compensation plus late charge and interest he had billed Metro. Had no choice since I was in the middle of a refi. I had no intention of shorting Metro since I naively signed a contract. However, they deliberately misled me, accused me of receiving all the funds and certainly caught me off guard since I was forced to borrow money for the immediate payment to the contractor. You won't have enough to make your repairs after they take their fees (35%). I share the frustration and the exact issues everyone else has expressed. This was the biggest mistake we could have made as homeowners! We are going on two years, and the thing is, our money is sitting there ready to go and Metro won't respond to the insurance company. This is shameful and negligent. They start off attentive after they get their first payment they don't answer the phone when transfered, they, they don't return calls or emails for that matter. Back in 2018, I owned a construction company that was getting ripped off with insurance jobs. I chose to study Public Adjusting to understand how insurance companies work so I could use that knowledge to help my homeowners maximize their claim dollars. Metro PA offered to help teach me the ways of Public Adjusting, and I was incredibly excited. However, I did not want to charge homeowners a percentage of the claim. I just wanted to use insurance law as a contractor to get claims paid fairly. Fast forward through several thousands of dollars for online course material and flights to Bensalem for in-person lectures and field training . . . mostly to be sexually harassed by B.U. (I have the audio recordings and he knows it.) I did meet 2 amazing adjusters that I highly recommend! Aaron and Desi. These two are super heroes in my construction trade opinion. .If you recommend 10 friends or family to them you will receive a free gift..... Well that's how they got my name..... An agent called me and set up an appointment. He told me that the homeowners insurance companies were getting fat because they were paying out minimal amounts for claims you make to them. He then told me that Metro will get me up to ten times the amount so that the job would be fixed right for example: if you have a leak in your roof your insurance company would just pay to have the shingles replaced where the leak was but not fix the damage to the wood underneath them if there was any. You are then asked to sign a contract with them to do this for you for the fee of 35%. It so happened that I had a claim about a week later and called Metro and they sent out an adjuster and a claim was put in for my damage to my homeowners insurance company who in turn sent out their adjuster. I received a check from my homeowners company for a minimal amount just as Metro said would happen. I then called Metro and they said not to cash the check, this is where they come in and get me the full amount to get the job done right. After about two weeks Metro called me back and said my insurance company would not pay out anymore for my claim but send us a check for 35% of what your insurance company paid you as agreed in the contract. Then added if you are not satisfied we can put in an appeal on your claim but that will cost you $300. This was my first and last experience with Metro...... read more

Metro Public Adjustment - Metro Public Adjustment - Public Adjusters Near Me - Bensalem, Pennsylvania

I have read the reviews about Metro Public Adjustment on here recently, and I'd like to boldly stand out and state for the record, these low-star reviews in NO WAY reflect the REAL work and uncertain aspects of the insurance industry in which the Metro Public Adjustment Inc. reps and adjusters actually have to navigate through, in order to help our clients to our fullest ability. During the shutdown challenges of the pandemic, Metro Public Adjustment Inc. actively reshaped the way in which their claim reps and adjusters helped their clients by becoming more virtual over the past two years with certain processes. This necessary change and growth happened in order to reach more clients who were needing the professional guidance and policy/claim damage education for their benefit, but on a virtual AND equally personal level, because the policyholders needing these services and resources was still in high demand as it is today. So many wonderful customers supported Metro's business during a time of great uncertainty. Metro's President is a very down-to-earth, genuinely golden heart guy. He truly is grateful for all of our clients, and he encourages us reps and adjusters to continue constantly learning and thriving through the tough aspects of our ins industry work, in order to help each client the best we can. Personally, I have been with the company for a year and a few months now. I have not met a single Metro rep, adjuster, or even corporate employee, who remotely fits any of the negative descriptions from some of the previous reviews on here. When someone signs up to join the Metro team, they get trained within their state of residence, & have the opportunity to get licensed in other states if they so individually choose to study, test, and do so legally. I cherish the countless relationships that I've been able to so far be blessed to have built, and the business I'm continuing to build through the work I do through this company. I have heard several veteran reps & adjusters through Metro Public Adjustment speak very highly & heartfelt, of the importance in the relationships we build through this public advocacy work that we all do. These people have been constantly learning, adapting to new state ins & constant insurance co. policy changes, and they have been top-quality experts in this ins. industry field for decades. I genuinely trust their personal stories, experiences, and I respect their leadership and hard work. There has been an influx the last two years of negative reviews on forums like this about Metro Public Adjustment Inc.. Metro does get the occasional one star review, and my personal response to those reviews if and when I am asked about them by clients, is that we can't always accommodate everyone. Each time a client's claim is being handled through Metro, there is a certain aspect of the process that is uncontrollable for us as reps and adjusters. When insurance policyholders in certain states are born and bred to know the importance of using a Public Adjuster, yet, in one state away, there might be only like 2% of those policyholders who've heard about our work as the top, public advocacy insurance education resource we are. There's high value & benefits of these uneducated clients trusting in us to help them FIRST! It becomes difficult to navigate the negative reviews blasted at Metro on behalf of a handful of unsatisfied clients or previous newbie trainees. They may not been able to be helped properly because they themselves didn't give their Metro opportunity 100% of their effort, or the client didn't have proper coverage like they unknowingly assumed they did, so they became disgruntled. There are a plethora of reasons why people leave such harsh reviews but that does not mean that it's totally Metro's fault. Metro P.A. is filled with friendly, sincerely caring, & intelligent, public advocates who really try their best to spread the importance of home & business ins. policyholders becoming well-versed in what the language of their policy really means. The negative reviews on here are single-sided voices (often unintelligible) that overlooks the work in which we've tried to satisfy these clients. It also ignores the thousands of clients, who since 1993, have continued with positive experiences through Metro's services nationwide. We do our best to satisfy our clients by doing what's right. We do what's fair & honest, & we treat all clients with respect & dignity. The tenacious and hard-working education that the professionals which make up Metro Public Adjustment Inc. have been providing to home and business owners nationwide, it has been the key to Metro's years of continued success and growth. The expertise, & compassion that makes up Metro Public Adjustment, exists to genuinely help ppl navigate through their difficult time of sudden and/or accidental damage/loss to their homes, rentals, & businesses. We help people get their livelihoods back & we help keep ins. companies honest. read more
